I actually kinda like this pack. The fact that you can be in a better mood for knitting from listening to METAL music is hilarious. The one thing that really bugs me about this pack is when you finish the knitting aspiration you get to make an itchy sweater - how is that a reward for hours upon hours of knitting? It's funny but it's not actually a reward. Edit: I'm assuming that the imaginary friend would have been too much to ask for although it would have been amazing.
I got this pack in December 2022 just for the metal music. It was one of only two packs that I actually purchased with the other being High School Years. The signature thing about this pack is the plopsy storefront; if an item is sold the entrepreneur skill is increased.
I honestly love the idea of wearing and creating my own items in ts4, so I luv this pack sm !! I have no regrets on buying it. But I do agree that it could’ve been a bit more exciting when it comes to gameplay and it was a missed opportunity to make elders interesting. However, I kind of like that it’s not just aimed for elders cause I luv using it as a lil hobby for my sims of any age to do so they can give each other knitted gifts on holidays and such. I do the same with the baking skill, I use it as mostly a ‘hobby’ that a sim will have and use specifically to give friends, family, and neighbors gifts on holidays :)). Especially my ‘Good’, creative, or family orientated sims, it’s a way to show their personality. Ooo-also, I’ve recently gone back to playin ts2 and I believe there’s a machine where you can make your own clothes ?! Honestly, id love to have clothing cost simoleons in ts4 so my sims would have to work on buying their dream wardrobe over time and poorer sims could use knitting/sewing as a way to create their own clothes, sell clothes for cash, etc. plus, if you have materials, it could make the clothes even cheaper or free to make…..just have to make sure your llamas and sheep are taken care of ✨!! When it came out, it brought with it one of the only adult skills a child could learn and which was definitely a high point for it. Obviously they have restructured skills so that’s no longer the case, but for me, that was one of the selling points. I also like having my sims knit. I don’t necessarily care for what they can knit, but I like that the hobby is an option. In addition to that, it brought with it the first time you could change the appearance of newborns without cheats.

Hair stile is not the focus of that pack, and I don't expect anything on that front. A thing that I found : When a piece of clothing is unlocked, it's unlocked for everyone. But, whenever a Aim leave a family, the clothing that he unlocked is no longer available, and, when moving out, the only pieces of clothing available are those unlocked by that Sim. Yes, bottom clothing should be part of the available knitting options. There should be pants and skirts. Also, full body for men is missing. You can knit some functional objects : The toys. The rug looks like it was recolored by an amateur in photoshop. I get angry every time I see it. I do like the clothes that came in CAS but do also feel it was missed opportunity for knitwear. But I think this is the pack that drove home to me that they will ALWAYS miss the obvious opportunities as they had with every pack, and this was the last one I bought. Now, people have given me packs, but this is the last one I paid for. There are glitches with selling it and putting it on plopsy, or there was for a long time, maybe they fixed it. The knitted outfits drove me crazy in that the same sweater for females was a full outfit while for males was a top, I didn't like that. I think maybe my biggest problem was them showing things being used in the trailer that really aren't usable.
When it was announced I was very unpleasantly surprised. However, once it was on a sale I thought what the heck and got it. Ironically it ended up being one of my faves. Often when I'm stressed or down I play rather "boringly", more slow and soothing, so knitting, cross stitching and walking around Mt. Komorebi are my faves things to do. And I love the B/B stuff.
I bought this pack because I voted on every step and wanted to see if my efforts went into it. Also as someone who enjoys the fiber arts I like that my self sim can now enjoy the same hobbies I do!
I've recently discovered just how easy it is to pirate these packs/kits, so I don't even worry about their quality anymore. I'll take all of them anyhow because I don't have to financially support EA through them anymore
I got this pack impulsively for £6 in the sale lol. I noticed the lack of CAS straight away. The furniture is definitely cute but this pack really should have been part of Growing Together or Cottage Living.
I'm confused. I love this pack and got it based on an earlier review you did. I think if you're a crafty person then this pack is perfect. The women's clothes are nice. Growing up with a knitter, patterns for men and boys were much more limited.
The cas is terrible. But the game play and build items make up for it. In my opinion this is the best stuff pack. It seems like they really put their heart into it. It's my favorite pack overall tied with cottage living
I remember voting for the Granny chic artstyle but unfortunately it didn't win. How fun would it have been to have your Sim granny knit doilies, ugly Christmas sweaters, chair pillows or curtains.. Also a massive missed opportunity that we can't knit any clothing for cats and dogs! I still love this pack but it could have been so much better.
I may not have been paying attention but did he mention about the baby (and I think the infant) knitted outfits could not be added like the other clothes to the family wardrobe. Is it because of the fact that their is not a baby cas? Regardless I hated having to knit a new one every time I had a baby or going through the process of gifting it to my expecting mother since it could not be dragged and dropped.
Is anyone else's sim not able to knit. I got the pack and made my sim knit a beanie. He got hungry before it was finished so i made him cook. When i tried to make him finish the beanie, he wouldn't do it. The bubble with the feet and the x keeps coming up. I tried moving the chair around but it didn't work. I have the basket in my inventory aswell.
The real world sweater curse is when you *start* knitting a sweater for a significant other, you will inevitably break up (it's a half joke - sweaters take so long to start and finish, a romantic relationship can come to its natural conclusion during that timeframe). The knitting on the toilet I think is the closest "real life" metaphor the game can get for how often serious knitting enthusiasts knit :) Some folks will go for walks while knitting.
I'm currently on my annual sims run and am thinking about getting city living but couldn't find a bhr from you out there? Will you review it eventuallyor is it just too old?
Depends on who you are and how you like to play. I don’t bother with anyone’s reviews. I’ll see if I think I’ll like them and is so I’ll buy them. By the way, what makes you think you’re posh? I can’t hear a posh accent or word ever when you speak
Yeah I’d personally rate it 3/10. The score would be higher if the swatches on everything were better. I like color, but there is a way to do color while still being versatile and this is not the way. The sims do this all the time with styles and swatches.
I gave this pack a bad score because it barely works and offers nothing worthwhile. In fact I reviewed every stuff pack, most of the game packs, some expansion packs, and most of the kits already back in August and some this month.
When i click on a video of satchonsims i'm sure of one thing: He will say he doesn't like some pack or say something bad of EA/The Sims team... Its getting repetitive and not everything is bad as he makes it to be... He is funny though...
More so because I bought this pack because of him 😂 and now he says is bad when he ranked it as a good pack … I prefer to have it than not have and still one of the best stuff packs in my opinion basic but adds fun to the game

PLS do snowy escape next!!!!!❤
Wait, where’s your sweater form I love those kinds of tops
I may not have been paying attention but did he mention about the baby (and I think the infant) knitted outfits could not be added like the other clothes to the family wardrobe. Is it because of the fact that their is not a baby cas? Regardless I hated having to knit a new one every time I had a baby or going through the process of gifting it to my expecting mother since it could not be dragged and dropped.
Did they kinda refresh this pack after the infants update? Where does the onesie come from?😮
Is anyone else's sim not able to knit.
I agree 100%, I really like the pack still.
It would have helped if the game creators knew how to knit. Most of the items are crotchet objects, which the team admitted they know how to do that.
I'm currently on my annual sims run and am thinking about getting city living but couldn't find a bhr from you out there? Will you review it eventuallyor is it just too old?
They need an elders modern clothing kit.
Kids and teens also gain emotional control from knitting if you have parenthood
I had an ex that gave me a knitted blanket and swearrrrrr it had the same affect as a knitted sweater
did anyone elses video go silent towards the end
Uummm … ok?
Are you able to knit stuff for infants too?
Yes
If Grandma can't knit her kids and grandkids ugly Christmas sweaters then whats the point?
When i click on a video of satchonsims i'm sure of one thing: He will say he doesn't like some pack or say something bad of EA/The Sims team... Its getting repetitive and not everything is bad as he makes it to be...
He is funny though...
More so because I bought this pack because of him 😂 and now he says is bad when he ranked it as a good pack … I prefer to have it than not have and still one of the best stuff packs in my opinion basic but adds fun to the game
Knitting was good for a Rags2riches challenge but that was it🤷♀️
A knit occult would be so cool!
holy shit you are so right with the knitting occult. can you imagine making a sock monkey imaginary friend. the sims 3 imaginary friend would be cool too. sims 4 lazy lazy uninspired
Ok...I'll get because of plopsy
Please do "Get Famous".

“This is my Bruce Lee honest review…” 😅
I genuinely forgot this pack even existed

@@lildaisyheartExactly 😂 unless this person knows something we don't
Im so confused because you have literally ranked this pack before as one of the best or must fun … so which one is it? 😂
Isn’t this the pack that was voted for by the community? If it is I’ll never understand why tbh 🤷🏻♀️
