Long answer: I lost 5 minutes of my life downloading the game and another 15 trying to see if it was good or not, I uninstalled it immediately xD

Yeah i was expecting a good game with good graphics, but ended getting only a autoplay game with good character models and graphics.... so sad.

I do agree a little bit about the auto grin/route thing. But overall because you can turn it on or off it give player flexibility to do what it wants to do ingame. I can still chat and interact with people ingame specially on weekend and so on. For example after work if i just wanna log and just auto farm some materials and so on or even daily quests i am just so happy that i can cook or do something else while auto farming abit. And if there is grand events that is no auto then surely and socially i wanna do it with other people. Its good they gave us options turn it on or off daily things. That itself i would see as positive thing. Thanks to auto route it does help to release some daily fatigues. When you wanna feel relaxed semi gaming. When some people complain that the game is 'too grindy'. Yes then this releases that part abit unburden.

Most things that you can do in most MMOs are able to be autoplayed. That is why macros and bots are something that devs need to fight against if they don't integrate that function. Just like RMT.
I dont mind the auto. I dont have all day to manual grind, so it's fine to auto path for me, but i can choose to play manually. Many mmos have grind going towards endgame, so no surprise
Late to the party but The main problem with the auto is not necessarily just the auto grinding quests. The combat is so shit and tanky controlled cuz it is meant for auto, no dodge, no fluent target switching, just aggressively locks and takes control of you onto just one enemy and feels like it just says fuck all to all the other enemies that hump u in the back. You can manual but the combat is made so robotic that I still feel like I kinda autoplay even when I dont
I actually like this game because it's full auto. It's a great time waster if you just play casually, and I've never liked mobile touch controls, so yea, I've got no problem with the game playing for me while i micro manage everything else.
The day World of Warcraft dies, that will be a happy day. It is the single most evil thing that happened to MMORPGs and since its release, MMORPGs never stopped getting worse, just following what WoW does.
Sometimes I am confused. You say you have been covering this game for so long and anticipating it etc.. now your thoughts, atleast to me, seem rather "negativeish" and you speak as if all the things you talk about are discovered recently after playing it etc.. but really ever since any kind of footage of the game has been on the web we knew it would be what you described now.. I dont understand why you act so surprised and disappointed. But maybe its just me.
Because I never played it. Seeing gameplay and playing it yourself are very different things.

@@alterminus-zthe game is boring anyway. Even without this review a trash game is still a trash game. Plus the issue is this game is marketed as an MMORPG instead of an idle game as it is indeed more of an idle game.

I think I more excited about Blade and Soul Neo but I'm not a old school player so I'm wondering what the global release might look like and how to gear as a new free player who may or may not buy sexy outfits XD. i like playin it easy and not makeing things harder for myself.
gameplay is somehow similar to Seven Knights 2, Auto mode for daily quest and routine, and Manual for Hard mode, event dungeons and Higher level quest Boss
just another person crying on automatic, but at no point do you see the video in the background, with the automatic turned off. You played it 100% automatically because you wanted to, it was your choice, don't say that the game comes down to this because of you!
I played the korean and japanese version a lot, I got used to the auto play because I really liked the animations and how some grand weapons transform your characters, also the characters are all free so that's nice, I also like how it looks like Granblue Fantasy so I hope it does well and keeps going, altho I did see that the controls lacked some key bindings, like, I don't like clicking on the character icons to switch, I prefer the 1,2 and 3 keys for that, but that's more like a nitpick.
How does auto play work here? do you still need to press anything?
@genshinfinity I think you still need to activate the transformations, but I'm not sure, it's been a while and I just installed this version, but you can also just play manually if you want.

off - your basic attacks are auto till enemy dies
on - your basic attacks are auto and character autopaths to find enemies after killing them. you have to be the one to use skills manually
full - auto basic attack, autopath, autoskill, etc.,
I love everything about this game. The characters are charming and the story is interesting. Its giving me star ocean the last hope, tales of arise and granblu fantasy relink vibe. Hope theyll release ff15 collab soon coz its only available for korean and japanese version

I'm already playing 2 gacha games with auto battle, Honkai star rail and Reverse 1999.
If the story, arts, music, and characters interesting enough, probably going to keep this game in my phone.
Welp this is the era of MMO death and we are its witnesses. Man what I would give to go back to fighting over mobs with other players and partying up to run dungeons.
For me gaming started with MMO’s. I remember how filled they would be and the lag and ping problems because of it (even wait times for entering servers).
It’s quite unbelievable how bare bones MMO’s have become😢. Rise of the gacha it is then 🤷🏽♀️

Gran Saga has amazing visuals and a strong storyline, but the heavy autoplay limits real player interaction. It feels more like a passive mobile game than a true MMO. Worth trying for anime fans, but don’t expect deep, hands-on gameplay. It’s visually beautiful but lacks the interactive depth I’d expect from a PC MMO. I think it would appeal more to players who enjoy mobile games or prefer lighter gameplay. Personally, I wish there was more hands-on content and a stronger multiplayer aspect. Still worth a try if you’re into anime MMOs, but temper your expectations if you’re looking for a classic MMO experience.

I played the jp version of Gran Saga for 2 years and it's been a lot of fun. However there is no reason to play this when I can play Granblue Relink instead.

Its not a button masher, its more about how to best get ressources and use them to make your character stronger and you can invest quite a lot of time into that. But yeah .. for stupid button mashers thats maybe too complicated, but of course you feel superior because you can press 1-2-3-4 for endloss hours, right ?
Personally i meanwhile like that kind of game more than stupid button mashing, but of course mostly i miss character customisation, which for me is the main reason i still play Black Desert Mobile. And then of course its a gatcha and after a few days of fun playing you mostly hit a wall where you can't progress further as F2P and then the big question is or me if there is still enough to do that i can somehow progress as F2P or if i just have to say : nope, thats it now.
So far today i hit my wall at a 164k boss while i have 140k with my best 3 chars, but on top i even need to build up my darkness char for that fight first because i use freeze resist that only he has. So now have to wait till next daily reset and look if i can get enough mats then.
But thats also not true, i still sit here since hours and look what i can optimize here and there and how i can shuffle best gear between character.
Downloaded it on steam, thought I'd give it a shot and realized I should have just listened to you in the first place, quick uninstall for me, even quicker uninstall then Bless Online, and that's saying something.
Like wtf is even going on. How can you spend so much resources on the art and then make a game like this?
Its gotta be kids and casuals playing these right, like some sort of Candy Crush-fication of MMOs. But those games just have zero appeal to people on PC. Because why would anyone play this over an actual good single player RPG?
I mean you CAN CHOOSE not to auto? Ngl though, I like the auto to get me from place to place on the map or I'd get lost 😂 but as far as combat? I don't auto at all WHICH YOU can choose not to auto combat. Love how ppl call it trash when you can choose not to auto. I've been playing for a whole week and I'm enjoying the game. Heck my main team which is 3 characters, I'm already over 130k and overall 250k. I hope it stays around for awhile
mobile game ported to pc, gacha system, large amount of microtransactions, autoplay and unskippable tutorials (the poop cherry on top)

Over on steam, there's a lot of heated discussions about Gran Saga forcing to be ran as Administrator. . . a lot of people think there's some suspicious software usage in the game and a lot of people are trying to cleanse their PC's from anything that has to do with Gran Saga
I notice that too, the devs even made a “tutorial” about it on their page iirc. That’s when the game gave red flag vibes that I decided not to download it.
@augosyx one thing I am curious about (because I am stupid, lol), when you run something as an administrator, what does it give the administration to? The game?)
@@missblueh5314 It's just giving full access to your PC, doesn't matter if it's a game app or just any software you have. Most apps/software tend to restrict stuff which as an admin, you don't have that kind of issue but the caveat is that you need to give it freedom to do what it wants on your computer. Install anti-cheat, even as scummy as a virus. It's risky but only do it when you fully trust that app/software.
But in Gran Saga's case, they doing that as if to take advantage of your PC's most important things: your password, your photos, etc. It's sketchy at best.

Addint auto in an MMORpg is an automatic death sentence. Guess they see all those idle/turn based gacha having auto and being successful but it's totally different. Action based gachas should never go the auto route, never worked, never will.
i agree with everything you said i downloaded the game on Steam I was pleased with the game aesthetic and map design but the auto-play bored me in the first hour of gameplay. it is not engaging, it is more like a tech demo of what could be achieved with fewer resources compared to AAA games.
i know its somewhat the aniem style but i want people to look up gameplay from bioshock 1, a 17 year old game, released 2007 and compare it to the abismal quality of these characters, it doesnt even compare
I like Gran Saga, but the only thing that makes me not want to continue playing is that the game is made for auto play even if you turn off auto play off. The game does not feel like a real MMORPG game and was missing a lot of features or mechanics than should make the game feel like an MMORPG, and the game felt boring as you continue playing, but visually the game looks good
Dont with worry Moustache Stix we will try it nevertheless.. then might quit if it feels redundant for few hour or minute something like that

mobile mmo are like a plague and people still drop tons of cash on these shitty games. These companies are just supplying the demand, mmorpg genre is completely fcked
I played it like for 2 days, for 1 or 2 hours each day, don't feel the urge to login to this game anymore. it looks good, don't know about the story, but the constant notifications about watching ads for some rewards is turning me off. seems I am too much of a pc gamer.

i get companies are trying to make mmos more mainstream, but its to the point were mmos are losing there charm. i wish there was a balance for casual play and participating in game play.

Played and I didn't mind the auto stuff, I kinda dislike using the same characters all the time.. Yeah it's cool armor changes while you are lvling but it's always the same characters, same abilities which made me get bored quickly. I'd have loved the gacha thing was for characters to use. Only played 1st day while you were streaming and on the next day I didn't log in

It definitely feels more fan service focused, but then again just seems to barely satisfy the niche for fans. I'm not a Gran Saga player, but it looks cool but probably nothing else.

"full auto", "doesnt feel like mmorpg" interesting...I remember just 2 month ago you make an video related to a certain mmorpg (ROO) which was full P2W + Full auto play and you still give it a good review with 0 negative review kind strange I must say (sarcastic in case no one notice, I know that video was paid to have good review)
It's a shame i was really looking forward to this game because it looked beautiful, and the gameplay looked cool before i tried it😔
Yeah i was fairly pumped for this released played it for 10hrs and couldn't belive the eye watering amount of auto pathing/combat the game had/forced you to do really, such a sad miss to what could of been a amazing mobile/PC game, but i didn't except much mobile landscape for "MMORPGs" most are full of auto pathing/combat which makes the game boring and worthless. Honestly, there's better MMOs and Mobile games to play imo than Gran Saga not to mention there completely ridiculous and absurd launch issues from delaying since no platform would release it, little to no updates for a week, no countdowns for release, almost zero marketing, issues with ever platform steam, epic, google, samsung, apple etc. Play PoE 2 when it comes out or WoW, FF, ESO, BDO etc all better and more fun lol
You cannot auto the harder contents in the game. you will die. most of the autos are for dailies which you definitely do not want to manual. the first minute into incursion on the recommended cp will show you why you can't auto lol. have to switch to pc controller to play the game to avoid dying.

If you go onto epic, it has the title screen but no videos or clips of what it is. So I am here trying to figure out what it is. Its VERY telling that if you don't display your game epic has very little confidence that it will sell well without you downloading it without checking what it is. I mean this looks like mobile anime trash.

to be fair, i've played the JP version of this a long time ago and auto combat is only for farming and story at early stages (till around chapter 3 or 4), most of end game content couldn't be auto combat since you will die in a sec if you go full auto combat. Part of it because many bosses have a skill/phase/pattern that could kill you in one attack so you can't just face tank everything

For what I see, this game has better combat than WoW and BDO. BDO combat is good for an action adventure game. WoW is trash.

As a BDO a player if I cant grind until I feel dizzy and sick, close to a heart attack in exhaustion , the mmo is not worth it
