this is not an overexaggeration but "I Got a Boy" revolutionized MUSIC as a whole, there's like a documentary and breakdown video of it on youtube somewhere
@@paulaustria8805 This conversation is so weird on both sides. IGAB led the charge for a revolution in KPOP, which transitioned from a genre that borrowed heavily from others to one that welcomed experimentation and new sounds (which lasted at least for a few years until the current gen which is a bit more amorphous imo). As a broadway-pop hybrid, it's *far* from a forgettable song, *especially* in the industry where it's THE mother of experimentation. That being said IGAB did NOT revolutionize music as a whole. It's influence is primarily limited to kpop, with *some* indirect outreach to POP music (especially idol pop) mostly in neighboring countries. As for the song itself, I mentioned earlier that it's a broadway-pop hybrid, which is to say that it's basically a musical condensed into a length and format consumable by the pop music industry and its fans -- meaning while new to POP, the song is not new to music at large. I also agree with Paul Austria's point that fan breakdowns are not reliably indicative of actual influence. So it's a bit in between what both of you are arguing.

There have to be stories.

I'm not sure if anyone has mentioned this but for 'I Got a Boy' in the part where Jessica says "let's bring it back to 1:40" it was referencing to the BPM and the 1:40 mark of the song!
YES!! definitely one of my favorite things done in like any piece of music ever. IGAB was so far ahead of its time that I almost feel like we still haven't reached it yet
Yes, that was Taeyeon who you pointed out in the INTO THE NEW WORLD and Lion Heart MV. GIRLS' GENERATION IS THEIR ENGLISH NAME while SNSD(SoNyeoShiDae/소녀시대) is their Korean name which also means the same as their english name. BTW, thank you so much for checking out these legendary ladies.❤
I still remember how I am so into Girl's Generation back then when I was in elementary. I got a boy is actually the first kpop song we did cover at school during this certain event, I cannot.
SNSD members are so powerful that when they go to Award shows or shows where Idols are involved, everyone stands up and bow to them. They are just different ❤
girls' generation and snsd are pretty interchangeable! snsd is the abbreviated version of their name in korean which is "sonyeoshidae" which translates to girls' generation in english and yes the high note in into the new world is taeyeon!
Also fun fact, Into The New World has been used in protests and pride parades a lot in SK due to the iconic and impactful nature of the song and lyrics :)
SNSD is so iconic, have such a great selection of consecutive bops, all talented, all can hold their own and they all make a great collective as well. They also have done a lot in records, concepts...they have everything.
The red hair member that kept grabbing your attention was Sunny. I had the same reaction when I first discovered SNSD in 2012. Sunny remains my ultimate bias.
Cant believe you weren't already into SNSD but yeah, whatever songs you choose to listen to beyond these four, you won't be disappointed. The nation's girl group indeed ^^
28:33 Black hair is Tiffany Young, she had english releases after leaving SM if you interested in her solos. 31:04 Red Hair is Sunny, you kinda can always guess her for coloured hair. You was always right on pointing up Taeyeon. Party is a summer must 100%. It actually was a prerelease for Lion Heart, they on the same album(5th). In 2022 they had ot8 comeback for 15th anniversary with 7th album Forever1, after 5 years break. Tho they are very active in their solo careers, which they emphasize in Forever 1 MV as well. About skin you should see Genie since it goes that SNSD invented legs in kpop as well😂 Thank you for reaction, hope you will check them out more
Ah, Soshi. My one true love in Kpop. Glad you enjoyed what you saw. You don't have to love "I Got A Boy" (I don't, personally) but it definitely was a major milestone for kpop industry. If you found it confusing right now, imagine how shocking it was 10 years ago when no one was doing anything like that. SNSD were the biggest girl group at their absolute peak and them taking such a risk was really something. Thankfully, they managed to pull it off and it was a success for them both domestically and internationally. I'm sure you'll get a lot of suggestions for more music to check out in the comments. Some of those songs will be more to your taste than others. Personally, I fell for SNSD's variety skills before anything. I genuinely believe they are some of the funniest idols out there with outstanding team chemistry. I also find them to be really engaging concert performers. It was definitely one of the things that stood out to me as a learned more about them. Hopefully, you'll come across those sides of theirs as well at some point. I also hope you give a chance for their solo work and Taeyeon's in particular. You were really good at pointing her out in every MV you watched. By now you saw her in SNSD, GOT and duo with Key but that barely scratches the surface of what she has to offer as a singer and as an artist. Her voice isn't just beautiful, it's very versatile too and she's really good at using it to tell stories. Her discography is full of really beautiful things.
SNSD stands for So Nyo Shi Dae (korean name) and the english translation is Girls' Generation. I Got a Boy is known for kpop's bohemian rhapsody 🤣 it gave birth to a lot of SM songs, once you get it you get it 😁
Into the New World is one of the most iconic debut songs. It’s literally the start of the girl’s generation. It’s probably still one of the most covered Girl Group songs today, I feel like almost every female idol has performed this at least once in their training or idol career. Apparently the girls practiced the song for over a year before they debuted. BTW:Girls generation is THE NATIONS GIRL GROUP. they are the most diverse girl group ever. they have the best japanese discography. they to be my ultimate bias group. They were always way ahead of their time both vocal and performance wise. Snsd r legends of k-pop I'm glad you're checking them out😄
into the new world is released in 2007 I got a boy in 2013 Lion Heart & Party in 2015, their first comeback as 8 members. and last year 2022, they recently released FOREVER 1, their reunion to celebrate their 15 anniversary 🩷 thank you for this reaction 🩷
Girls' Generation -- also known as SNSD, which is the acronym for the words that mean Girls' Generation in Korean -- debuted in 2007, so this year was their 15th anniversary. SNSD are known for having some of the best vocals and dancers in the industry. As an SM group it shouldn't be a surprise that they are such great singers and dancers. That is just what you should expect from SM groups. :D SM Entertainment is considered the vocal powerhouse of the industry and the company is known for putting a huge emphasis on finding and cultivating some of the best vocalists in Kpop. You literally can't be an SM artist without having amazing singing and dance skills. Even SM's rappers get intense training as vocalists, so all of the company's artists are amazing singers. "Into the New World" was SNSD's debut song from 2007 and it is one of the most iconic girl group debut songs of all time. This is the song that made SNSD "The Nation's girl group" right out of the gate. This is the girl group song that pretty much all female trainees are required to learn. Fun fact: SNSD is Super Junior's sister group, so both groups have similar group dynamics and styles. Former SNSD member Jessica Jung is Krystal Jung's older sister. Krystal is a member of SM's former girl group F(x), who is SHINee's sister group. F(x) is pretty much the female version of SHINee. Jessica and Krystal were one of the first -- and for a long time, only -- siblings to both be under the same Kpop company and in separate equally popular groups.
A lot of here are suggesting "The boys" and "Run devil Run" and i couldn't agree more! That's a must to watch video by them! In addition, I would want to recommend "catch me if you can" and "you think " i would be so happy l to see one of these songs in your next reaction:) overall, i enjoyed your reaction a lot, can't wait for more! Also enjoy your journey with girl's generation!
Fun fact: The MV for Girls' Generation's "I Got A Boy" was produced by Zanybros the same company that is now representing the Kpop soloist AleXa. In 2013 this video topped the charts and it beat American MVs by Justin Bieber and Miley Cyrus, etc. for video of the year at the RUclips video awards. SNSD are "the nation's girl group" and considered queens for a reason. :D They are the girl group, that most other girl groups who came after them are modeled after. Jessica, who is one of the two Korean-American members; Taeyeon who is the leader of SNSD and one of the top female vocalists in Kpop (also one of the most popular female solo artists); and Seohyun were the singers during the ballad breakdown section. As you know, SM is known for their power vocalists, so you will find amazing vocalists like this in all of SM's groups, including boy groups. This was the era when Kpop songs were created to give an equal amount of lines to every member. So, because SNSD has 9 members, this song is longer than a lot of Kpop songs, which gives them time to do a lot of different things in the song. ;P Switching up the beat in Kpop songs is just kind of part of what makes Kpop unique. Case in point, in "I Got a Boy" Jessica literally says, "Lets bring it back to 1-40," which is a reference to switching up the tempo -- changing it from that slower ballad section and bringing the song back to the faster beat. "I Got a Boy" is structured the same way as YG Entertainment's boy group BigBang's song, "Bang Bang Bang," but "Bang Bang Bang" came out in 2015, 2 years later.
0:32 This example is one of Girls' Generation / SNSD's strength😎. SNSD (especially Taeyeon) supports other groups (boys and girls) when those groups are just starting. In return, those newer groups become famous and they sometimes tell their own fandom that SNSD gave them inspiration or have encourage them at some point. Newer fans may not hear or know SNSD, but their idols does. Kpop Profile is good, but I hope you can also check and/or react to their long guide by ohwoowoo. Despite being long (1hr and 37 mins), it is well created, informative and balanced with some funny clips. Feel free to divide it into parts if you want. THANKS FOR YOUR REACTION😄. Hoping for more SNSD reaction. 💖
I bet you'll love 'Run Devil Run', It was originally Ke$ha's song but they bought it, and if you are gonna react to it, watch 'Oh!' first because those two MV's are interconnected with having opposing genres
SNSD & Girls’ Generation has been throwing international fans for a loop for a long time now, lol. SNSD is just the romanised initials of the korean name SoNyeo SiDae. all the names are used interchangeably. you’ll see SNSD, soshi (SOnyeo SIdae), girls’ generation, and GG. they had their latest comeback, FOREVER1 last year for their 15th anniversary. it was also the first time they put out music together with the members who left SM.
I took a few listens to find my footing with “I got a boy” but it grew on me so quickly! And I remember having it on repeat 😊 I would recommend ‘the boys’, ‘mr mr’, ‘run devil run’, ‘catch me if you can’ and ‘you think’ 😊
SNSD also have english version of "the boys" they joined the David Letterman Show 11 years ago with this song. Still like yesterday. recommendation SNSD mv's Mr. Mr. The boys catch me if you can you think genie mr. taxi (this is also iconic one taxii dance)
I think a lot of people react to GG/SNSD for the first time and think it's just deep diving into another group but in reality, it's deep diving into the beginnings of Kpop. And by the way, SNSD means Sonyeo Shidae which is just Girls' Generation in Kpop.
The smile you had with the first verse of INTO THE NEW WORLD speaks how 2007 kpop has less autotune in them like you could actually hear their natural voice.
SNSD were my introduction to kpop and the original Nation's Girl Group, I'm so happy to see you discover them!!! You also know Taeyeon from her feature on Key's song Hate That btw, she has featured on Taemin and Jonghyun's albums before as well! I think it was good that you waited until now to check them out given that you have a broader knowledge of the industry and can better put their impact into perspective, I hope you can watch more from them in the future! I was dying laughing hearing you talk about them looking so natural when IGAB was up next. Red hair was my bias Sunny! Sistar are the original "Summer Queens" and the definitely show some skin, I think you would enjoy their music a lot actually! Other favourite MVs for SNSD are Oh!, Mr Mr, You Think and All Night, can't wait for you to get to know them, their entire comeback album from last year is incredible, well worth adding to your list of album listens! Thank you for this!
omg so as a sone (their fans) i'd suggest watching genie, run devil run, gee, the boys, and mr. mr. at some point. i'd personally save their most recent one, forever 1, until you've seen some more of their stuff because it is truly a love letter to fans and their history and i think having some more context would be perfect for that
I was so hyped for this video love them sooo much! There really is so much to discover with SNSD and I think that you can really see how they still influence Girl Groups of today. Hope you have a great day :)
SNSD the OG of girl groups, the idols of idols, the blueprint for a girl group and one crazy talented entertaining group. That’s all there is to know simply as that.
Discovered your channel recently and I just want to say thanks for discovering SNSD! Really just a one in a million girl group that legit shaped K-pop. They have so much songs that I want to recommend but yeah, their title tracks are the best way to get started. Also, I just want to add. They're more known internationally as Girls' Generation, in Korea, they're more often referred to as SNSD (abbreviation of So Nyeo Shi Dae which literally translates to Generation of Girls, sometimes also shortened to "soshi") ITNW is one of the most influential K-pop debuts EVER! Literally every Korean knows this song, trainees use it to practice their singing + dancing, and it's even used in lots of major protests. IGAB was the first song in the industry to be called "The Bohemian Rhapsody of K-pop" just because of the amount of switch-ups and crazy stuff it has. Even today in the more experimental eras, it's hard to find a song that delivered what exactly IGAB did. SNSD put in a lot of firsts in the K-pop scene. Inspired a lot of ggs and is one of the main reasons why ggs are more common in the industry. I love them so much
The song is called "Lion Heart," which is a play on words, so Girls' Generation are really saying he has a lying heart. If you notice the Lion is dating all the members and by the end of the MV they discover that he has given all of them the exact same note and told all of them that he loves them and that they are the only one for him, etc. So now that they found out the truth that he is just a player, they are all pushing him off the train and throwing him out of the boat, pushing him out the window, etc. They want him to get away from them because he is a bad guy. He has a lying cheating heart. That's why he is a "Lion Heart." In the end, you see they find a man with a "tiger's heart", who is willing to treat them right and stand up for them, etc. Girls' Generation are all about girl power and standing up for themselves and never allowing themselves to be taken advantage of etc. SNSD songs are about being fierce women that know what they want and will not stand for anyone or anything trying to pull anything over on them. Their songs may make them look cute and girly, but really if you pay attention to the lyrics of most of their songs, you will see they are the woman that wear the pants in their relationships. LOL
Thank you for reacting to SNSD 😭💕 I'm subscribing! I think that you need to react to "Gee", "Oh!", "Run devil run" and "Genie" in that order 👀💕 Ps: The red haired girl in "Party" is Sunny😍
Really enjoyed your reaction! A life long SONE here :) You were spot on with Taeyeon, she does have that vocal power. You should check out basically their biggest song Gee! Also Genie (the song that hooked me into SNSD) my personal favourite You Think and their latest song Forever 1!
I’m so excited you’re reacting to SNSD I was just waiting for this video aha I would recommend Gee, Catch Me if You Can, The Boys, Genie, and You Think ( also maybe even a guide to get to know the members better) Also at 28:29 it’s Tiffany Thanks for reacting!
I was amazed how Sunny (the red haired one of the last mv) upgraded from cute, beautiful, to gorgeous. Hope to see more of you reacting from them! GG was the reason I came to know the existence of kpop. Back then I was just into Westlife and Avril. Then 'Oh' and 'Gee' happened. So much fun back then ai 😁
New SNSD reactor be like: "I'll be checking this group called Girls' Generation with songs like... I Got A Boy." SNSD fan (sone): Nice! Another IGAB victim 😅. This will be interesting. 🤣 ______ I Got A Boy won the first ever RUclips's Video of the Year Award and beat popular western artist. It's also considered as "Bohemian Rapsody of KPop" having like 4 to more genres in one song. And the song is a grower (at least for me). 11:58 That's right. She is Taeyeon, but fans know her as 👑King Taeyeon. 15:46 She's Sunny and the same sexy red haired lady in Party and the one dancing with the Tiger. 15:58 Correct, Hyoyeon. SNSD's main dancer and also a DJ. 30:05 It's a good thing that SM entertainment already allowed it because on their earlier days, they have another mv called 'Echo' and they're not allowed to wear bathing suit. They are already adult in Party so it's all good 😊. SNSD doesn't do a lot of sexy concept... but if they do, they will definitely nailed it. Most mistake that new reactors do is associate Girls' Generation's name with their hair color. It's not a good thing since they always change hair color and hair style with every comeback. However, it shows that you have a good technique which is associating their voice or eyes to the name. I believe that you'll quickly get to know them. Please check the SNSD guide created by ohwoowoo and I'm 80% sure that you'll quickly recognize each member. They are also one of the funniest girl group so hopefully you can check some funny compilation if your YT channel is not strictly for music reaction🙏. Looking forward to more SNSD reaction.
currently 5/8 of snsd have debuted as actresses lol. they have been leading in some really famous dramas so maybe those are where you recognize some of them from. ✨
I got a boy was notorious for being all over the place. Feeling like multiples songs in one. When it came out in 2013 it was incredible, and it was on repeat for me personally.
the songs you could check out: the boys, oh!, holiday, forever 1, genie, mr mr, all night, you think, catch me if you can (sorry, there's a lot but i just love them)
Thank u for reacting to snsd! Those times... I remembered how many times me and my sisters watched I got a boy and even copy the dance moves. I was so happy when it won a yt award 😊
SNSD is the abbreviation for their Korean name So-nyeo Shi-dae, and “Girls Generation” is more or less a direct translation of that (Sonyeo Shidae means “Era of girls”). You’ll also hear them called Soshi (short for SO-Nyeo SHI-dae) or GG (Girls Generation)
2:21 they are known as both Girls Generation and SNSD. SNSD is a romanized shortform version of their korean name Seo Nyeo Shi Dae, which translated to Girls Generation in english. In Japan they are called Shoujo Jidai, japanese translation of SNSD
Thank you RJ. I' m happy that reactors are discovering SNSD (as they should 😅).. I will not stop saying that SNSD has been there in my life..both SNSD and TWICE are my ULT in kpop ❤..and if I were to look back at my life SNSD and TWICE filled it ❤..
omg girl's generation!! they have soooo many good songs; I would love it if you kept exploring their music!! and yea, as far as showing skin -- you should react to more 2nd gen girl groups! Party is actually quite tame compared to some of the sexy concepts that were popular back then. As for GG, their most famous songs to checkout next are probably Gee, Genie, Oh! and The Boys... maybe also Mr Mr, Run Devil Run and Forever 1? From their more famous songs, I also recommend Hoot, You Think, Catch Me If You Can, Lil Touch and their subunit TaeTiSeo... plus they've got an extensive Japanese discography as well :)
Thanks for checking them out! A few facts to know: Into The New World is used in lots of political protests because of its message. It’s honestly my fave debut song of any kpop group. Lol, I Got A Boy is known for being all over the place. It is messy when you first hear it but you get it after a few listens. And now it’s one of my favorites of theirs. I love that they have different sounds/genres put together here.
Yey! Thanks for reacting to SNSD! They are mostly called So Nyeo Shi Dae in Korea. Shuojo Jidai in japan and Girls' Generation everywhere else. Hehehe. I'm glad you liked these songs. Wait 'til you get to their ballads 😉
Yessss!!!! 2nd gen girls are my life. Gonna echo some others and say Run Devil Run is a must watch but also Genie is one of the best kpop songs ever, period, literally will not and cannot disappoint.
Now time to go down the rabbit hole… please listen to The Boyz, Mr. Mr., Paparazzi, Hoot, Dancing Queen, Gee, Genie, Hoot, Oh, Catch Me if you can, run devil run, kissing you. They’ve got such amazing discography so please continue with some SNSD content or even just 2nd gen girl groups content ❤️
Girl’s Generation are iconic!!! I Got A Boy is an amazing song & it just makes me laugh & happy. It’s wild. Next time you gotta check out the absolute stunner that is Catch Me If You Can. It’s an absolute stunner! & also just a feel good vibe & banner song. Also Paparazzi & Mr Mr which are sort of both dark. When you mention skin… you should check out SISTAR (Hyolyn’s original group) who have / had the best summer songs ever. Absolute bangers every one. Shake It is iconic. Also Miss A with Bad Girl Good Girl or the truly iconic Hush. 2nd Gen Kpop was just different.
As a K-Pop fan for almost 15 years, it's fascinating to see newer fans get culture shocked on older groups! LOL. Believe me when I say if you dive more into 2nd gen groups your jaw will definitely drop!!
SNSD stands for 소녀시대 (Sonyeo Sidae) which translates to "girlhood" aka Girls' Generation. Into The New World - Yes, that was Kid leader Taeyeon. This song has been covered by EVERYONE and was used in some protests in Korea as well. I Got A Boy - lol the song started after the piano part in the beginning. Watching someone exposed to this song for the first time NEVER gets old. Lion Heart - you got it. Hyoyeon is also known as DJ Hyo. Party - Brunette at the beginning you like is Tiffany. The girl with the red hair is Sunny (Le Soo Man's niece). AS for the skin... they were considered women instead of girls in their society, so they had a LOT more freedom than they did when they were younger. Also, being THE most influential, quintessential girl group in KPop doesn't hurt either. You might want to check out SNSD-TTS as well. It's a subunit with Taeyeon, Tiffany, and Seohyun.
I loved the reaction so much. I am so happy that you decided to check out girls generation and is loving them. They have a special place in my heart since they are the first kpop group I ever found back in 2011 and they are one of my ult girl groups. They have so many great songs that you may love as well. There are the more popular ones that others have already said but I'll tell you about some that others may not know of but are just as good. The songs are called Girls (yes, they have a song with the same name as their group), Kissing You, Baby Baby, Hoot, Dancing Queen. All the songs I mentioned have mvs to them.
Thanks for a raw reaction vid, RJ! :) I Got a Boy is known as the "Bohemian Rhapsody of KPop". It starts with Sooyoung's famous "Ayo GG!" Party and Lion Heart both came out in 2015. I suggest you also check out Genie, Catch Me if You Can, You Think, and their latest comeback Forever 1 (2022). :)
It will never get old or boring looking at someone who's listening to IGAB for the first time haha
Yup... always an interesting reaction.
Always fun to watch 😂
Believe it or not, it was actually my gateway to the group and was the 2nd k-pop song I'd heard ever!! Rocked my little middle school world in 2015/16
It was one of my first songs into Kpop and it was a whole experience 🤯😵💫😍
Yes, it's so fun to watch their reactions hahaha Also, I remember that Come back stage. Oh I miss that days
I highly recommend this batch "Gee, Oh!, Run Devil Run, and The Boys" these are one of my all time favorite SNSD songs
and All Night too, I think he’ll love it

I still remember how I am so into Girl's Generation back then when I was in elementary. I got a boy is actually the first kpop song we did cover at school during this certain event, I cannot.
SNSD members are so powerful that when they go to Award shows or shows where Idols are involved, everyone stands up and bow to them.
They are just different ❤
girls' generation and snsd are pretty interchangeable! snsd is the abbreviated version of their name in korean which is "sonyeoshidae" which translates to girls' generation in english
and yes the high note in into the new world is taeyeon!
About skin you should see Genie since it goes that SNSD invented legs in kpop as well😂
Thank you for reaction, hope you will check them out more
Same here 😂.
I'm really into their variety and unfiltered comedy before becoming a true fan 😅.
Yep I love chaotic Soshi (in a fun way).
SNSD stands for So Nyo Shi Dae (korean name) and the english translation is Girls' Generation. I Got a Boy is known for kpop's bohemian rhapsody 🤣 it gave birth to a lot of SM songs, once you get it you get it 😁
Taeyeon solo career is a must now I swear
Up!!!!!!!!!!
Snsd r legends of k-pop
I'm glad you're checking them out😄
into the new world is released in 2007
I got a boy in 2013
Lion Heart & Party in 2015, their first comeback as 8 members.
and last year 2022, they recently released FOREVER 1, their reunion to celebrate their 15 anniversary 🩷
thank you for this reaction 🩷
igab is released in 2013
@@kidzoldyck edited it, thanks 🩷
It’s just so crazy to me that into the new world is older than some kpop idols, like what in the actual world
The Greatest Girl Group of all time ❤
i just love watching people reacting to i got a boy ITS AN EXPERIENCE FOR EVERYONE!
PARTY was a pre-released single to their fifth full length Korean album(double title track, Lion Heart & You Think)
I definitely recommend Run Devil Run. It was the first kpop song I ever listen to back in 2010
A lot of here are suggesting "The boys" and "Run devil Run" and i couldn't agree more! That's a must to watch video by them! In addition, I would want to recommend "catch me if you can" and "you think " i would be so happy l to see one of these songs in your next reaction:) overall, i enjoyed your reaction a lot, can't wait for more! Also enjoy your journey with girl's generation!
"jessica,I don't know why she left"
all of us are 🥲
It’s also sad how much hate she got for it and how she was pretty much blacklisted from everything.. it’s sad how people treated her after it.
The girl with the red hair in "Party" is Sunny. She's awesome on variety shows, especially with her interactions with Heechul on Knowing Bros.
Awesome reaction! Hope to see more SNSD! The black haired girl in Party is Tiffany🥰
So, because SNSD has 9 members, this song is longer than a lot of Kpop songs, which gives them time to do a lot of different things in the song. ;P
Switching up the beat in Kpop songs is just kind of part of what makes Kpop unique.
When you were talking about the simplicity of into the new world and I saw the next one was I got a boy I was like 💀
Well at least it's not the first video he reacted so only a mild confusion 😲. Imagine if it's the very first SNSD video 🤯.
Ke$ha never released it, she just recorded the demo, but the demo was posted on youtube, so that's how people know about it
SNSD & Girls’ Generation has been throwing international fans for a loop for a long time now, lol.
And I remember having it on repeat 😊
I would recommend ‘the boys’, ‘mr mr’, ‘run devil run’, ‘catch me if you can’ and ‘you think’ 😊
SNSD stands for korean word 'SoNyeoShiDae' which translates to girls generation
SNSD are one of my ult groups!
May I recommend Genie, You Think, Run Devil Run and Oh! if you do a part 2 ❤
So happy you finally found the time to listen to them ❤ you should definitely check out genie, all night, gee, the boys, & forever 1 by them!
Idk if you already figured it out but they're also called SNSD because their korean name as a group is So Nyo Shi Dae (소녀시대)
SNSD also have english version of "the boys" they joined the David Letterman Show 11 years ago with this song. Still like yesterday.
recommendation SNSD mv's
Mr. Mr.
The boys
catch me if you can
you think
genie
mr. taxi (this is also iconic one taxii dance)
I think a lot of people react to GG/SNSD for the first time and think it's just deep diving into another group but in reality, it's deep diving into the beginnings of Kpop. And by the way, SNSD means Sonyeo Shidae which is just Girls' Generation in Kpop.
The smile you had with the first verse of INTO THE NEW WORLD speaks how 2007 kpop has less autotune in them like you could actually hear their natural voice.
i love the live version so much
Taeyeon - INVU, Yoona - Summer Wind. SNSD - Run devil run, Bad girl 4k, Catch me if you can.
Im so excited for you to listen to SNSD, btw they are pretty much equally known as Girls generation (GG) and SNSD (which stands for Sonyeoshidae
We're a bit closer for Taeyeon killing Voice yall
Please bump this up!
They're more known internationally as Girls' Generation, in Korea, they're more often referred to as SNSD (abbreviation of So Nyeo Shi Dae which literally translates to Generation of Girls, sometimes also shortened to "soshi")
ITNW is one of the most influential K-pop debuts EVER!
I love them so much
SNSD stands for their korean name : so(young)nyeo(girls)si dae(generation)😊
i just love seeing people react to i got a boy for the first time 😭🤣💗
I was riding the high of Lionheart for months when it came out! It makes me feel all like, excited and happy. Giddy 😂
LOL
Thank you for reacting to SNSD 😭💕
I'm subscribing!
I think that you need to react to "Gee", "Oh!", "Run devil run" and "Genie" in that order 👀💕
Ps: The red haired girl in "Party" is Sunny😍
check their concert performance and you'll see how talented all of them
oh my GOD THANK YOU SO MUCH FOR THIS thank u 💕 I love seeing people giving them love nowadays 😭❤
Pausing Netflix to watch SNSD content! 🫶🏻
Morrrrreeee Girls Generation pleaseeeee ✨
Subscribing bec of Girls Generation!!! 🫶🏻
👍It's the correct action. 🤣
12:00 21:00 you right this Taeyeon
28:33 this Tiffany 😊
Finallly Snsd!!!😭♥️♥️♥️
Really enjoyed your reaction! A life long SONE here :)
You were spot on with Taeyeon, she does have that vocal power.
You should check out basically their biggest song Gee! Also Genie (the song that hooked me into SNSD) my personal favourite You Think and their latest song Forever 1!
When I listened to I got a boy I knew that SM was my favorite company now I'm an nctzen 😭
I’m so excited you’re reacting to SNSD I was just waiting for this video aha
I would recommend Gee, Catch Me if You Can, The Boys, Genie, and You Think ( also maybe even a guide to get to know the members better)
Also at 28:29 it’s Tiffany
Thanks for reacting!
You need to watch „You Think“ ! It’s in the same album as Lion Heart but the complete different
New SNSD reactor be like: "I'll be checking this group called Girls' Generation with songs like... I Got A Boy."
SNSD fan (sone): Nice! Another IGAB victim 😅. This will be interesting. 🤣
______
I Got A Boy won the first ever RUclips's Video of the Year Award and beat popular western artist.
SNSD = Sonyeo Sidae (So-nyuh Shi-dae) is Korean which means Generation of Girls in English
currently 5/8 of snsd have debuted as actresses lol. they have been leading in some really famous dramas so maybe those are where you recognize some of them from.
Always love to find a fellow Lionheart enthusiast! I think it's the most gorgeous MVs and concepts in K-Pop, plus the storyline is so funny!
Highly recommend their songs from before "The Boys" era, they have some great classic hits like Gee, Run Devil run, Genie for some examples
Please react to Mr. Mr. and Into the New World Ballad Version!! The vocals in these songs are perfect!
Also also (sorry for spam) they have a debut stage of Into The New Workd that is 100% LIVE vocals. So good
SNSD is the abbreviation for their Korean name So-nyeo Shi-dae, and “Girls Generation” is more or less a direct translation of that (Sonyeo Shidae means “Era of girls”). You’ll also hear them called Soshi (short for SO-Nyeo SHI-dae) or GG (Girls Generation)
SNSD is the abbreviation of SoNyoSiDae which the literal translation of Girls Generation. Hope it helps lol
From their more famous songs, I also recommend Hoot, You Think, Catch Me If You Can, Lil Touch and their subunit TaeTiSeo... plus they've got an extensive Japanese discography as well :)
yess party is sunny's era (girl with the red hair)
Thanks for checking them out!
A few facts to know:
Into The New World is used in lots of political protests because of its message.
I GOT A BOY IS THAT ICONIC SONG!
but then again... all SNSD song are so ICONIC 😫
OMG, you're so in for a rabbit hole brother. girls generation has TONs of Bops!!
I think I Got a Boy was one of the first SM (or kpop) patchwork songs.😆 I loved it when it first came out.
The OG avengers of Kpop, my fave 4eva , Girls Generation❤
SNSD is sonyeoshidae which means Girl's Generation, I think it's an abbreviation in hangeul.
Aside from bringing it back to 1:40 timeline (remove the doorbell part) that part of the song is also 140 bpm (accdg to classical musicians)
Omg yessssss SNSD the queens!
Thanks for a raw reaction vid, RJ! :)
I Got a Boy is known as the "Bohemian Rhapsody of KPop". It starts with Sooyoung's famous "Ayo GG!"
Party and Lion Heart both came out in 2015.
I suggest you also check out Genie, Catch Me if You Can, You Think, and their latest comeback Forever 1 (2022). :)
