Maybe a bit late, but I think the bad reputation of cans comes from the part that people used to drink beers straight out of cans for ages. Because of that, your beer won't develop a good head like when you pour it and also wont releases gasses and even more important: you taste the metal from the can when taking a sip. For IPA's, Lagers etc. the can is great because there cant get light through it instead of the bottle. But some beers have bottle fermentation and you wont get that with cans. For that, brown glass is the best color (least amount of light get through it).
John, thanks for that insight! Interesting how it goes away when pouring into a glass, maybe it's the smell of the can you taste? I experience that too sometimes. -ECW
Pour it in a glass then you´ll have a nice brew. When drinking from the bottle or can the beer doesn´t get a chance too breath. Remember....Tap Beer comes from a Steel Keg, and who doesn´t love a good tapped brew
When I use to drink it depended on my mood. If I wanted to feel like a high roller it was a bottle. If I didn't give shit which was most days then can it was.
I always prefer beer in a bottle. I think that in comparison with the jar, the taste in the bottle is more saturated, the carbonation in the cans is lower. Compare Pilsner Urquell in a jar and a bottle, the difference is big, and about 10 of my friends think so
I'm a Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale connoisseur, last year it came in cans and I can taste the difference. There is a slight metallic after taste, and aluminum is associated with major health problems. Everything tastes better in glass containers-Mayo-soda-Mrs. Butterworth etc. Lol. No comparison...
Out of the can it tastes bad! Poured into a glass from a can is amazing!!! For casual drinking bottled is the best! Unless draft is an option of course.
I totally agree! If session drinking at home,I’ll purchase cans and pour it into my favorite glass. If drinking straight from the container, bottled beer hands down!
I just dont like drinking beer out of a can, idc if it’s technically the better version. However cans are easier to dispose and require less space on a desk than a bottle
Light will degrade beer very quickly, and cans are better in blocking light, so cans are technically the better choice to store beer. But for the experience, a bottle looks and handles much nicer than a can. I'll call it a draw.

Moral of the story: Pour that CAN into a GLASS! Bottle fermentation is also a great point though, many people forget about that.
From can to glass,Absolutely!
Bottled beats canned alot. The aroma is stronger, the taste is better and it's more refreshing. I've drank both side by side for years
Drinking from a can gives you a metallic feel. Drinking from a bottle does not. Once you pour them into glasses, they're pretty much the same.

Always pour. Can or Bottle.

Cans are better. They block 100 percent of light, which affects the taste.

Isn't it weird how that works? Draft is king.

I drink beer in can if I am at home relaxing. While bottles are for socializing.
Interesting...what's the reason behind that?
Did she get more tipsy towards the end?😄

Both very good points. I suppose it depends on what you prioritize. The debate continues!
leather pouch. obviously.
Oooh good option! I prefer a tightly woven reed basket layered with clay for my beer, but I’m keen to give your method a go!
Canned Beer!
Mop
Canned beer 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤡
A method of distributing beer, yes.
Canned beer is physiologically distaseful!
It tastes better
