- We live in a society that dreads growing older, and worships the idea of youth to a ridiculous extent (we only have to think about some of the awful plastic surgery people put themselves through!) This little chat is about learning to embrace our Inner Crone, coming to terms with what is an amazing period in our lives, nothing to be feared but a challenge to be relished. I'm 44 in a few hours, and I'm truly feeling like I am embracing early onset crone phase! It's been lovely not caring about being "hot" or "sexy" anymore. All that energy that was spent on worrying about looks is now spent on learning and thinking and appreciating things I never stopped to look at. It's so freeing to just BE. 💖

All the phases have their place in the wheel, but I absolutely love the freedom of the Crone and the certainty of simply being. Growing older means you've walked a path, met people, learned things, seen multiple examples of same thing different day, etc. You gain wider perspective. I wish women and me would fear age less and embrace it. Popular culture may not value age, but it is priceless!
Thank you for expanding on our Crone phase. Most emphasis is put on the younger phases of a woman's life. Embracing the Crone should be celebrated. I'm learning!
The internet, and the real world, could use more talks like this. There's not much sense of the value of being older in popular culture, especially if you're a woman. I grew up among people who thought a teenage girl was in her prime. If it's all downhill from the moment you're attractive to boys, what's the point of growing older? My relatives grow meaner instead of wiser as they age, and now I'm seeing why. They can't see what older people have to offer.
+Winonah D. Thank you! I think far more women need to embrace the crone aspect of their lives rather than fighting it. I find as I get older that life changes yes, but there is a freedom that the Crone brings which is often missed! Blessings, Tylluan :-)
I love watching your videos Tylluan ,you are so wise and honest. I am in my mid 50s now going quite grey.People ask me when Im going to dye my hair.... I reply never. I have earnt every one of those hairs and as for my wrinkles they are representing my life journey. As for sharing ,you have prompted me to look at this differently. I now intend to share my life experiences with younger ones as in the past have tended to keep those close to me. Thank you for this video as it rang so true .
I absolutely love listening to you speak on the craft. I could listen to your wisdom for hours. I'm only 45 but I am ready to embrace my crone. I worked in geriatrics for years and my favorite part was listening to their stories and wisdom they impart to younger generations.

Thank you Tylluan, great to see you back on RUclips. I agree with all you say and although I am far from wise I have learned wisdom with age (well some at least!). My favourite saying on the subject is ' Do not complain that you are old, be grateful you reached old age'. I am grateful, even if there are bits that don't work so well LOL!

At 47 years old and 5 grandchildren in I have found that I have changed so much. I mean when I think about myself I always see me as a young teenage girl. But I dont think so much the same. Ive hung up most of the protest and rebellion, and resistance. Ive learned to settle into stillness and surrendering to the self. I dont feel old untill i get out of bed and try to walk... Bahhhhhahahahsha!!! Seems as tho as soon as I stopped and recognised my shadow as a part of myself I was catapulted into this crone stage. And as my monthly moon hasslowed to an almost never happining ordeal i realize tho Ill always be a mom Ill bear no more children. And yet Im more patient and relaxed around the children. I no longer like the fussing and petty fuding and your right. I get terribly upset at folks who dont do as they say or are wishy washy. I find that I see everything magically. Like every sunrise and set looks like the first and only one iill ever see. And out in nature everything is vibrant and magical looking. Alive and full of wonder. Im just now in transition but I am in a phase that to ask a question Im also fining the answer there. And my absolute whole perspective has changed! This is a subject i would like to talk about learn and hear more about. Blessed be to you for your kinship and sharing.
+Amanda Manning - I'm so glad you enjoy the chats. I think everyone responds differently to the menopause... a lot of people swear by Evening Primrose, others by Black Cohosh. I hesitate to personally recommend them however since it wasn't a problem I ever had. Blessings, TYlluan :-)

Crones are well hidden in modern society - but no less powerful for that! It's a great adventure!

Maca Root! Along with a Progesterin cream (health stores), Estrogen cream may help at this transition time. Black Cohosh AND eat 1 small sweet potato daily. The supplement of DHEA, (25mg, more or less )seems to balance my testosterone...and yes, we need that in balance too, ladies! Essential oil spray with Clary Sage, Lavender, Peppermint in witch hazel base; keep in glass sprayer in fridge: Aahhh! Instant relief of a flash! After hysterectomy menopausal symptoms can hit very hard, vs. gradual, natural menopause. Blessings~

Thank YOU, Mrs. P., altho I'm not a Pagan, Witch, Wiccan, I'm sure my great-great ancestors from your part of the world, had your understandings & wisdoms.As a crystal-healer, I'm thankful that not all information regarding energy, herbs, stones for healings were not completely lost during the ages. One last tip for the menopausal: 100% cotton clothing whenever possible. Trust me! Mrs P,, I feel like you're a neighbor I have a cup of tea with...Love your videos~

We are all neighbours really, I firmly believe that and am so glad that the internet can finally start bringing us together. And I'm with you all the way on cotton clothing, especially underwear.
