I think we should all be creative with our magic simply because we are all so different and have so many different creative interests. By being practical we can start with magic in its very simplest form - adding the extras comes later, when we really understand what we're doing and why were doing it. Glad you enjoyed it! If I am remembering correctly, you've touched on this subject before, but I wanted to ask, what advice do you have for Pagans and witches who deal with depression and other emotional issues? Particularly when it comes to lacking motivation for regular ritual and practice. I have this problem and I very rarely do anything anymore, not even simple prayer. Do you think it's a "fake it til you make it" thing? I find that if I try to force myself to meditate, pray, do affirmations or any such thing, it feels like I'm lying to myself and it kinda makes me feel worse. Any ideas? Hi Topher, I think lacking motivation is something that happens to everyone to some extent, but I also believe that the further along our path we get, the less we seem to need outward show such as ritual practice. Having said that, I'll try and do a talk on this in my next back of talks. I would suggest concentrating on getting through this dark patch in your life, and making THAT your ritual practice. every time you get some rest, that is an offering to the gods; every time you eat healthily, that is part of your ritual practice - even down to taking your meds! Remember that not everyone approaches their path in the same way, and your methods are just as valid as others'. Hope this helps and really hope you are feeling better soon. Blessings, Tylluan :-)

Well in my experience there is nothing to tell us in advance how it will turn out. And sometimes, especially if we try and rush things at the preparatory stage, it may turn out different from what we intended. So there are no promises of success in advance. Ask for what you need. So if you need energy, ask for energy. Start where you are. Don't do a love spell if what you need is energy and healing.
