I remember watching these with my stepdaughter in black and white with different shades of gray. She lost interest in them, but not me. Thank you for having it colorized and in order in your playlist.
I'm not bloody surprised... I'm seeing it for the first time as a 45 year old man... And I feel scared & unsettled watching it.! But I'm really enjoying this show.!
New Zealand here : we never had Space Patrol, we had all the Gerry Anderson programmes, instead. I first learned of Space Patrol a couple of years ago when I came across a Space Patrol Annual in a charity shop.. My guess is it came from the UK with a British child immigrant. It seems to me that the ,Space Patrol puppeteers had a better system for making their marionettes "walk". Much better and smoother than on Fireball XL5 or Thunderbirds. Seeing the Galaspheres flying is also something that is very well done. The Space Patrol Annual did not have good illustrations of its propulsion field, though.
I never realised this was made by someone else but always thought it looked better than Supercar. I guess they copied Gerry Anderson because of his programmes being so popular but came up with a more realistic way of making the puppets move. I think I had a Space Patrol annual certainly some kind of book or comic with colour photos of the set during production. Now seeing these in colour for the first time even though uploaded a while ago youtube bot works in a mysterious way putting these on my list after watching colourised film of Titanic.
I am loving this series again, for me about 55 years later.
Great job on the colour Iain. Really brings the show to life. Been following the show since childhood. I'm now 67 years old
Brings back the innocence and carefree joy of childhood

I am Dutch, and this episode and all others of this series are awesome! I was born in 1959 and I grew up with these programs. What a wonderfull time!
I still remember being terrified by this episode! I was 5 years old.
I was six years old when this series came out. I remember feeling quite scared/unsettled when I was watching it 😂.

And
Beautiful effects considering the year. The over-the-top accents are hilarious, though.
A very, very early precursor to The Terminator perhaps ?
Thanks Iain. These old Sci Fi videos are great fun.
Also Dr. Who, there was a series about a robot revolt.
That episode was brilliant
Thank you for bringing Space Patrol back on colour. I am now 68 years old and still think it it the greatest.
Another huge thumbs up! 👍
Thanks, I'll definitely power through to the end now ;-)
@@IKP1000 Fabulous bit of public service! ⛑

Now…I need…a…Martian parrot 😄😄😉
Cosmic!
"It comes from Uranus." I don't know how he said that while keeping a straight face
😏
Maybe I just have a warped sense of humor but some of the dialogue....😆🤣
That walking, talking vegetable from Uranus? Nah. Can't have been deliberate. Can it? 😁
@@ThatsViews I seem to remember one episode where they said something like, "We've never sent a man to Uranus"
I have noticed that it is always cloudy over Space Headquarters.
That's because Space Headquarters is in London. And it's often cloudy over London! The city includes the London Post Office Tower model.
"It come from Uranus." Uhm, ok...
Is that professor Phil Collins? I remember this episode. Saw it as a kid.
I remember watching this when I came home from school but it was in black and white then. Happy days
DId any of you ever make a little Gallisphere out of a Tinker Toy spoke hub and the two little pointed pieces?
Wow❤❤❤❤
Interesting you can't see the puppet strings
Robots conquer the Hu mans...
22:51 ouch
Dispite their obvious animation those robots are still kinda spooky ...... reminds of Trudeau's cabinet!
Very clever, but it’s not how I remember it when I was a child. So a bit pointless.
Sorry.
