When I was 4, all I could say was cars.
The 2nd movie is wild, it’s completely different but the 3rd one is great so you should definitely continue with this series! And Seb you watched the American version of the film, if you’d watched the UK version, Lightning’s agent is voiced by Jeremy Clarkson!

Two things you missed: the two McQueen's fans Mia and Tia have pop up headlights and flash him (another adult joke) and the Ferrari at the end of the movie is actually a cameo of Michael Schumacher himself
The second movie feels more like a spinoff rather than a sequel because of how different it is, but it's still a great movie nonetheless
Now the third one feels like an actual sequel, and it's amazing, so I'd honestly recommend to watch them all
I saw this one in theaters with my mom when I was ten but never saw any of those following flicks might have to give them a watch!
Maybe it's just because i grew up with it, but I honestly love Cars 2, it's so insane and bizarre that I thoroughly enjoy it.
Cars 1 might be the better movie, but Cars 2 is my favorite of the two I've seen.

no joke this movie is just a great tribute to racing. so many iconic cameos mario andretti, darrell waltrip, richard petty, michael schumacher (the goat of f1) and in the german version you had christian danner (former f1 driver and commentator), mika häkkinen and the iconic niki lauda

The reason they say it's down to those Lightning, Chick and The King is because they are tied for the overall points gathered through the season. This was due to be the final race so the other 30 could hypothetically win this individual race, but no the season overall.
Also, yes the guy who voices Mack (John Ratsenberg) is in almost every Pixar film. He's one of the very consistent easter eggs like the Luxo Ball, Dinoco, the Pizza Planet Truck, etc.
Oh, yeah. This was a childhood favorite and I'm glad you got to experience it. And yes, there is in fact a movie called 'Planes' which takes place in the same world, but with a different main character. It's not as good as Cars in my opinion, but still one of my favs. Cars 2 and 3 are good movies, but can't really top the first one tbh.
Planes 2 is so much better though, it's such a good movie
When I had my first son, my mom gave me some great advice. She said, "never show your child a movie or tv show that you couldn't stand to watch 100 times a day." Cars was one of those repeat views in our house. And I still love it now, even though my eldest is 15. Lol.

I cannot count how many times I've watched this movie, I went to the cinema when it was released, I was 6 years old and immediately got into it. I still watch the movie at least 4 times a month today 😅.

One of my all time favorite movies. When I got it on DVD for my 10th birthday, I would watch it over and over.
One of the most iconic disney movies ever! This is the perfect movie/example of life, how you grow up, reach your prime and then, slowly become old.
But of course cars 1 is part 1; growing up.
Cars 2; reach your prime.
Cars 3; getting old.
The interesting thing about this movie is that there are three different "after-credits" scenes depending on the movie version.
There is one that shows that town is now popular, with a number of travellers going there instead of highway (makes sense as Lightning lives there now, and he is a famous celebrity).
Another one has a scene with parodies of Pixar movies in Cars universe that Mater watches - Findng Nemo, Monsters Inc., etc.
And the one you had - with cars who did not ask for the directions being lost.

the 2nd movie is basically like a spinoff with a wacky plot
the 3rd movie is the real sequel to this and is in my opinion just as good, carries the same spirit and vibe
its basically agreed upon that you can go from 1 to 3 without feeling lost, the characters pretend the previous one didnt happen
many dont like the third tho as for many it doesnt seem like mcqueen is the same character
No cars 3 is the end of mcqueen's career, cars 2 is set in mc Queen prime where he was at his very best and cars was about him learning that there more to raceing then wining so i wont make any sense to go from a hotahot racer to a retirement in just 2 movies.

The second you start asking questions like “how do they reproduce” and “isn’t siphoning his gas the same as pumping his stomach?” you open up a world of nightmares.
for researching the movie, they met with the author who wrote the book about U.S. 66, and he took them on a tour across America. they invited him to be the voice of the Sheriff, and they animated his characteristic mustache as the grille of the car!
and towards the end: when a Michael Shumaker Ferrari shows up for tires... that's actually F-1 racer Michael Shumaker doing the voice!
I have watched this movie too many times to count. When I was younger I was obsessed with it. Watched it many times a week, and always brought out the toy cars (depicting those from the movie) and played with them as they appeared on screen. This movie is my childhood

Just found this dude like a couple of days ago and became easily one of my favorite reactors.
Mack’s voice actor is the Yeti from Monsters inc and Ham in the Toy Story franchise and has always voiced a character in every Pixar movie. Also, in the English version of this movie released in the UK, Lightning’s agent is voiced by Jeremy Clarkson.
This was my favorite movie as a kid and the other following movies. I remember being hyped for it to come to the theaters. I remember that pixar had this website where they would reveal the cars one by one before it came out. I had a lot of the cars as toys and books and comics and magazines and trading cards.
His laughs are contagious in this one! So glad you enjoyed this classic :)
Finally, he's reacting to my childhood!!! I can't even begin to tell you how many times I watched this as a kid. I even still have all of my Cars die-casts from when I was 5 and 6.

The second one is completely different to the first, but still enjoyable.

First time I watched this movie I was small obviously, never understood the message behind it till I start getting older . And watching it made me cry will everything about it ‘ the character change in McQueen , Doc finally having the courage to be his old self again and the positive message. This movie will be everyone to me ❤💯

In an early draft, Lightning and Mac get separated when they stop at a truck stop to get “diesel espresso.” This was where the “Lightning meets the fans” and the “lit” joke happened. It then cuts to Mack, hopped up on caffeine, hooking up and driving away without checking whether Lightning is in the trailer.

This is absolutely my favorite film of all time. I have literally watched this more than any other movie in my life. It based off of Nascar but Cars 2 is more like the World Endurance Championship with cars from every racing discipline. Definitely give Cars 2 and 3 a watch, love to see your reaction. There is also 2 planes films to react to as well.

Cars 2 is an alright movie, as long as you don't see it as a sequel, but just as a non cannon story with familiar characters, but cars 3 is what I hoped cars 2 would be, an actual sequel to the first one, it's amazing so you should definitely give them a watch

This movie was my childhood. Watched it in cinemas back in 2006, bought the DVD and rewatched it like 100 times since then. I had toys, clothes, bedsheets, shoes, night lamps and other kinds of Cars merchandise. Some of which I got at Disneyland Paris back in 2007. I am now almost 22 and this movie will always be my favorite ever.

The 2nd one can be a really fun watch with the right mindset but it's a different vibe than the first, the 3rd movie ties back in nicely to this one though

As well as the sequels there's a series of short films called "Mater's Tall Tales" starring Mater in all sorts of different shenanigans, including drift racing in Tokyo, and being a Daredevil.

... that was the actuall voice of the 7x F1 World Champion Michael Schumacher. Just love it. And in the 2nd and 3rd Movie, some other F1 World Champions have their own Characters 😊

Yea I feel like not many people know this is a NASCAR movie
So great and so much fun for the kids, i got my 6 y/o daughter and watched this opening night. Gotta play the games, buckets of popcorn, gummy worms and chocolate. I knew this movie was an event and it turned into a memory for us.
Number 2 isnt too good but the 3rd one is amazing, a lovely follow up to the first.
this movie was my childhood, came out when I was 4 and I‘m still enjoying it to this day.
The sequel is completely different but personally I still liked it so I hope you continue with these.
Haven’t even come around to watch the third one yet so if you eventually react to that i‘d finally get an excuse to see it aswell.

I grew up with the Pixar films. The Radiator Springs crew gave similar accents to where I live in the southern US. The contrast and changes of mannerisms and voices is absolutely hilarious. 😆 Fabulous video!
Really fun reaction as always, this movie was part of my childhood. On an unrelated note I'd recommend watching Brother Bear for a future reaction. It's an animation as well and a great movie.
Such a nostalgic movie. Watched it non-stop in elemantary school. Some scenes like the opening and the travel part are burned into my mind. The soundtrack goed hard too. Great voice cast (Owen Wilson and Paul Newman etc.). Great animation and way too underrated.
Disneys California Adventure has a life size replica of radiator springs and it’s honestly amazing. Definitely recommend for anyone who hasn’t gone

I really like these older movies from Disney, like early 2000's because not only were they entertaining but they also taught a good lesson by the end of them. It wasn't all about looking cool it was about telling a story. Like Wall-E :)
John Ratzenburger played a role in every Pixar movie from Toy Story to Onward. Onward was his last voice role before he stopped.
This movie have special place in my heart. I loved this as a kid i am 18 but i have watched this maybe when i was like 5 to 7 i dont remember but i was little when i first watched this. My favorite movie of all time for ever it will never change cause of how special this movie is for me.
I went to California adventure a few years back and they had a part of it cars themed and when I was there at the cars part I felt like I was back in New Mexico it just had the same feeling

Not so fun fact: Doc Hudson's voice actor Paul Newman had this film as the last one of his entire career, sadly he passed away two years after cars released due to lung cancer, and it turned out to be his highest grossing film of his entire career, for the time he was recording the voicelines, he would stay in the studio to talk with the directors, wich gave them enough voice content for things like videogames, short films, etc...

It's called the Dinoco 400 for a reason. The number in the name of a vehicular race is the amount of laps.
I don’t really see anyone mentioning it, but you know about Route 66, right? Because this whole thing is a reference to it. Used to be the road for crossing a lot of the US back in the day, big vacation kinda thing with lots of little stops. When Interstate 40 was constructed, some of the Mother Road became part of it and some was entirely abandoned. There’s shells of gas stations and mini zoos and all kinds of things along those forgotten stretches. Some are still in use but they don’t always look so great and they don’t get much traffic. We took a couple of small detours this summer when we moved across states and saw some of it. There’s even a stretch in Arizona with Burma Shave signs. It’s on the California side of Flagstaff, loops north and comes back. Adds 30 minutes to your drive time but it’s worth it. It’s the red ones, for anyone who goes there… we saw a couple of purple ones and thought we’d come too late because the rest of the set was missing so the message was just “violets are blue who drink and drive.” Yeah… anyway, it’s kinda sad and kinda fascinating at the same time, kinda like the Salton Sea.

2:04 based on the number of points each car had it was only possible at this point for Lightning, Chick, or The King to win the championship. If one of them wins, great. If someone else wins then they won the race and the championship contender that placed highest wins the cup. This actually happened in the 2023 NASCAR season so it’s not unheard of.
The 2nd one is more like a Mater-centered spinoff, it's an entertainment movie with less philosophical meaning (but is fun too, don't miss it) ! The 3rd is actually the real sequel and I found it as good as the 1st one
