Buenas compañero. Try to make more restoration videos. Forget the toxic comments 😉. I liked this video and indeed there is no need to speak while you are doing a good job. I would like to see more restoration fountain pen videos made by you. Just one remark. I usually put the shellac between the ink sac and the section and then outside the sac. Is just another theory. Un saludo desde Lisboa/Portugal 👍
Thanks! I put the shellac there because it create a good sealed point and works for me. I'll try yours. I have some other pens for restoration, but have no time to record all. Greetings.
Olá! Adorei o vídeo e a música. Cumprimentos
'morning, Mr. Matilla. Don't worry, a first video is always a gross work, with experience you'll achieve the ability of doing a neat one. True is that the music doesn't work, (is boring and I yawned more than once while watching it). So, apart from the video quality (hideous) and the music selection, your contribution can help peoble to start repairing their own Fountain Pens. I start repairing my pens thirty five years ago, when I was 27. My first repair was my Father's Sheaffer Crest (Snorkel Filler) and it went well (followed page by page "Da Book" and a Sheaffer leaflet that came from their repair department. Two things I've missed: - You don't show the cleaning and repost of the nib-collector-section assembly. - You should have checked the lenght of the pressure bar before assembling the pen. Two procedures that I do in a different way: - I always apply Shellac (there's only one, lol) all over the nozzle and then attach the sac properly, withoult leaving but a very thin and narrow layer in the outside of the sac. - I always apply a bit of shellac to the thread of the section to assure no further ink leackage. And three thumbs up: Thanks the Almighty, you don't use the sac speader thing (*****) Your use of the knife to remove the old shellac, thats how it should be done, fearlessly and boldly (****) Chalking the sac is an old school trick that the Big Four did. The versatility of the hook-ended tool that you use to clean the barrel inside (you even returned it to it's original shape?) four stars for your creativity here ****. Unfortunately, I'f I had to, I'll rate your vid with a two stars, I'm sure that you can improve your ability of making such kind of tutorials. But, nevertheless, I gave you a like that I think you deserve for your efforts. Go ahead, accept the critics and don't mind the haters. Sincerely, Sheafferer
Thanks for the comment! I made a new one without music, but talking in Spanish. I don't know how well subtitles will work. The original pressure bar was broken I didn't realiced. I cut the video searching one in my collection to change it. Greetings.
Muchas gracias.
Well, after putting the bar as in the video, you only need to press the button on their hole, making sure the bar`s top fits in the button hole. I skip this part on the video because the bar I used was shorter and needed to find another one. Greetings.
Much too much drawn out ,fiddling about ,not tidy, wrong choice of music,(my opinion) like every thing else, practice makes perfect, best wishes. RS London boy.
Really sorry. I tried watching this but I just couldn’t. The camera work is terrible and the music is inappropriate. The lack of a voiceover is also a minus. Good luck.
Sorry for that. The camera was at full manual and was hard to focus when distance to object changed. The music is becaouse I'm not confortable with my level of English speaking, and there really isn't much to say during the restoration. Greetings.

Algunas imágenes no se ven...
No se ve si el fleje va dentro del botón .
Es demasiado lento!!
PERO MUY EXPLICATIVO.

Do you sell the repaired pens Sir.kindly reply.
Thanks
When I repair a pen, sometimes I sell it and sometimes I keep it.
Greetings, Enol.
@@enolmatilla thanks for your reply. How may I contact you. Can you share your email?
What is the shellac you use?
I use the shellac from ThePenDragon, in UK.
Try to avoid autofocus - we television cameramen never use either autofocus or autoexposure.
Thank's for the advise, but It's manual focus. You can see the vibration while focusing.
Greetings.
Beautiful Ink. Name?
It's a Wancher Tenmoku Ink.

@@enolmatilla The music made a nice change compared to the usual RUclips crap!
Unwatchable. Sorry.
Useless video!
