I don't think epic would put enough time and effort to make an additional style to every battlepass skin. I think they should have an obtained date instead or special banners to go with the battlepass you had originally bought.

As someone who got all the battle pass skins in the marvel season, I think it's unfair to not allow people to get their favorite skins. I also think it would be dumb to lock the alternative styles. (excluding gold, silver, hollow, ext.) They should also bring back the emotes. I think they should just give people who Already own them some V bucks and be on their way. And in the case of chapter 2 season 2 skins, give everyone who owns the skins both the ghost and shadow variants.
Bought the marvel pass but couldn’t finish it
I own all of the chapter 1 battlepasses and I honestly think this would be awesome. I don't see it happening (except for MAYBE collab skins) because of how much controversy it would cause, but personally I don't care that much about the exclusivity or rarity of my skins and would rather see people use the skins they truly love instead of only liking them for the rarity or "coolness" factor

As og player, i agree for let old bp return once and for all, epic games need to study a way to bring them back without getting mad the people that care about their exclusive outfits.

@@Mizdl I assume it can be a limited time for completing old battle passes. To be honest in my case, the season where Indiana Jones was released, I got the skin (happy about it), sadly, I stopped playing once I got it, and didn't know there was a page 2 for his items, in which I missed. I think Epic should just release the challenges back for those characters too.
They should make for example, if you have a old battle pass but you didn’t got tier 100 and only got to tier 87 they should make it so that you can buy the tiers just so you get that old tier 100 in your locker
I think that iconic skins like Midas, Meowscles, Peely, and maybe the marvel skins should be brought back to the item shop at a price like 2000 or something so then ogs dont really have a reason to be mad because they only spent 950

I feel like locking all edit styles would be dumb. Some base skins in the battlepass really suck compared to the maxed out one. Drift's first style kinds sucks imo, but I love his final style. If they brought old passes back, I think they should give a bonus style to og owners, but keep everything the same. I also wish og emotes would come back too.

but every one has to remember that the mako glider has been in the shop multiple times and it’s technically a battle pass glider so i think they could do it
battlepasses should just be a discount for that season that you can get by leveling up and should be sold for their real price in the item shop

I personally think they should let you be able to buy which battle pass of the seasons/chapters you want. Which however, you should grind for that if you wish to obtain the skin you really want. Just like you do now which your battle points.
So that ways, this wouldn't devalue the whole purpose of working for the skins. Instead of just, blatantly buying them on the item shop. I feel that would make others furious if thats the case.
But for the sake of grinding for those battle pass skins. I feel this would be a nice approach. As said, this would encourage players to play fortnite more and be invested.
Or in this case... (probably not the best scenario) the old battle passes will be on a time limit until a certain month to grind out for the skins.
Those are my biggest thoughts if Epic is willing to make this a drastic change for the game. So this can still be fair for everyone.
As an og that has all of the chap 1 battle passes, I think that they should come back and be available to buy and upgrade, I don't care if they're rare or not, people should just have fun

@@Holfend exactly. im an og and while I do think it is fun to flex about being an og in lobbies and creative maps with the emotes, i do think that they are better off doing the halo inf battlepass system where you can choose the old battlepass however I think it would be better that they only go back to chapter 2 season 1 for battlepasses since we didnt have any crossover skins in chapter 1 battlepasses

if fortnite returned battle passes but there has to be a style for every skin that returns that only the people who bought the battle pass in it's release can get.
Make it a pack for new people that dont have the skons and after you spend 30$ you do challenges if you already have alot of the skins like me it would be free challenges depending on skins with bonus xp and an extra og unlock style
In the end, those are just unused files if it stays as it is so I'm with the people who wants Battle Pass skins to return

It's gonna happen. If Epic (like any other company) can make more money for dropping a battle pass skin, they're gonna do it. We paid 950 vbucks for 5+ skins and they can sell each one of these for 1200+ vbucks. IT'S GONNA HAPPEN 😃
Absolutely, it would increase the sales of skins that people want to buy.
I am of the opinion that maybe they should sell the whole battle passes as a Whole with a few differences to keep the OGs from feeling like they wasted time
A. Give the skins an OG varient like what they did when they put Skull Trooper back in the shop, that way old players can still prove that they're OGs
B. The Extra passes from past tier 100 are still exclusive to OGs. For example with the current season, if you buy it in a few years, you wouldn't get surfing bird or golden Peter Griffin, those are Still OG skins, but you can still get Peter Griffin
C. Don't give the V-bucks rewards, you basically used to get Battle passes for free when you finished them
D. Make them more expensive possibly, like somewhere between 1500-2000 V-bucks. If you want that Pass, make sure you really want it
E. Give players who bought new ones a year or two of exclusivity

Yea, making the battle pass stuff exclusive for a year is probably the best solution. I mean i don't really get why anyone would be mad if they did it like that.
setting aside the obvious problems that arise from bringing back the ch1 bps, i think it'd be cool if during the og season they brought back the ability to buy 1 bp from chapters 2-5. other than that the collab skins should absolutely come back, its stupid that they were ever exclusive to begin with.
Imo anything Season 2-3 or older should come back. The main reason is that not every platform had the chance to get the skins. Switch players couldn’t get the S3 BP and Mobile players couldn’t get S2. Not fair imo
I have a lot of original exclusive things from early on and I am also missing a few that I wish I got. I hope everyone can have the chance to enjoy the skins I have that they dont, and that I can have a chance to enjoy the ones I am missing. They should definitely bring this back and I don't think its too far out, epic definitely would
They 100% should do this and they can sell items such as black knight with his shield and give the og owners a new style just like the skull trooper and imagine how much money epic would be making if they re release these old items. They do tend to listen to the community a lot and a bunch of people are focused on this subject so hopefully they do sell these items 🤞
A bit late to this video but, an idea I thought of is for example let’s say u want the original Spider-Man, they could put him in the shop as a bundle and when u purchase it, u get his base style, pickaxe, and backbling, then u get quests attached to him so the quests can be like level up this many times so that people who buy still have to work to do and buying battle pass levels would not count on those level up quests and each one that u complete gives u one of his rewards like his glider, gun wrap, and the final two rewards would be his black suit and white suit. And the ogs will still exclusively own the super styles. That way people will be happy to own these things and ogs can keep some exclusivity to the skin.
Emotes on the other hand I don’t know, I can honestly go without the emotes I missed. But the main point is that it’s crazy to think how many such iconic characters are locked away forever.

I have an idea. You can buy a supplementary battle pass that is active as long as you can get rewards from it. All xp you earn for your main pass goes toward this second pass, but you can only have one supplementary pass active at one time, but it never ends. For example, supposed I got the C2S2 pass to unlock the all gold styles for all the characters. If you paid the price of this supplementary pass (I think 3,500 vbucks is reasonable) you work on it until it is done, then buy another one if you can afford it. It should cost a lot, but not so much that no one buys it.
I wouldn't mind. Fortnite is no longer just a BR with Save the World, it's an expanding platform. A platform that will keep getting new players that will be wanting some of the old stuff that they can't get anymore. Exclusivity is losing its value anyway I feel, just at some of the comments alone I get that impression.
I’m honestly really sad about all the good battle pass stuff because it’s nice to have some rare items, but I really want the floss dance and peely but they are locked behind battle passes. I just don’t like the idea of buying accounts either. Nothing works out in the end.
I have an idea... Epic said they bring back the Chapter 1 map soon, because the Fortnite OG season was so successful. So what if there is coming a special mode with Chapter 1, where you can get the whole battle basses from its chapter (chronologically) in a kind of campaign. And the other past chapters also will coming. Chapter 5 Season 5 will be one month of "Fortnite OG 2.0" with Chapter 2, Chapter 6 Season 5 will be the same with Chapter 3 and so on. And a couple of months later every Chapter will come out in this special mode, where you can farm each items of its past battle passes.
If that happens I can finally get some BP skins that I didn't finish grinding out
when og season returns they should make battle pass tickets, so when you buy it it allows you to revisit that battle pass

3:30 I do think they should do this exept for chapter 1 tier 1 skins (the ones that ramp up) this is because those skins are unbelivably bad if you don't have their edit styles. For example no one would buy catalyst or Zenith if it weren't for their cool last stages

I think people who got the battle passes but never finished some of them should be able to finish them, it could even give battle stars more use instead of gaining tons of them that you can never spend.

Tbh I think they should bring back the old battle pass skins but maybe just the base skins with the base edit styles just leave out the super styles, (if you leave the game over a skin your just sad)
I think it would be quite dumb to not include edit styles to skins being brought back. Skins like Dire and Hybrid, their entire design is built on edit styles that are their whole character you know? Having base Dire but removing the ability to make him a werewolf just defeats the purpose of the skin. It would be silly to exclude their edit styles but certainly keep the super styles exclusive since those took extra grinding to get. Personally I really wouldn’t mind.
Exclusives have never been a big deal to me at all and I wouldn’t care if my skins were able to be purchased by someone else. You play the game cause you enjoy it and if you play it solely just to collect the skins then why even bother

I suppose give people that originally bought those battle passes an exclusive style each. I owned pretty much every chapter 1 battle pass apart from season 8, 9 and X as during those seasons I made a new account and got my first battle pass on that in chapter 2 season 1. My first battle pass overall was the one from chapter 1 season 2
They have released og Fortnite and have confirmed that they will bring it back and I think they should make a battle pass in that season of all the popular skins of chapter 1 such as black knight omega, luxe, etc. and imagine the profit that Fortnite could make by selling them of their rarity of 2,000 vbucks . People will buy those items for that price even thought it was only 950 for that skin and more.

as someone that has every bp completed, I really don't care if they rerelease everything. You still own it, simple answer I know but it's not like I'll lose the stuff lol.
i think they should give og owners an exclusive edit style as well with the extra edit styles they didnt get if they didnt finish it.
My opinion: Let every seaon be a similar amount of time from this point onwards, from this point onwards, you pick your own battle pass for the season from previous seasons or the newest one, Previous battle passes price can vary depending on how recent they were.
For that whole season, you're given that battle pass of your choice to work for, you work up your stuff and keep it. After you complete that battle pass, you get to select an incomplete battle pass from a previous season to finish up if you couldn't before. And then the cycle continues.
New season starts.
Pick up a battle pass (for V-bucks of course)
Complete battle pass, finish up old ones.
Dedicated players can get their new stuff while keeping their old stuff and keeping it somewhat special, New players can get the old stuff they like slowly.
It’s good in the short run but long term would effect the BP sales. BP exclusiveness really sell it. Not many players will buy previous BP because it’s expensive. It’s good how things work now. If you missed the BP it’s your fault. Epic Games not gonna kill business model because you miss it. Pretty sure fan base is bigger than Reddit,RUclips and twitter. Many players prefer exclusive BP.
It’s not always your fault, my mom didn’t let me play fortnite in the early days even tho I knew about the game. Also when I finally COULD get it back in c1s6 i lost my account with my og skins anyway and I really wanna make up for what I lost and also enjoy stuff I missed if you think about it logically it’s just not that deep and they should come back
They should just make it to where people who bought the battle pass but didn’t complete them have them, or people who gained tiers without buying the bp.
the inherent flaw with the battle pass system is that not being consistent about the exclusivity means that everyone who treated battle passes as a limited-time effort are essentially robbed of their time and devalues the skins that are part of those battle passes. people with season 1, 2, 3, etc skins should be able to say those skins are something they earned and be able to proudly show them off as an exclusive and valuable item. making them available again completely devalues these items and will make them like any other skin that everyone and their mom owns. its a stupid idea. if you dont want FOMO, dont design a battle pass system. simple. let OGs keep their skins. the only reason they're desirable is because people can't get them.

I get the whole exclusivity thing...but at this point, it doesn't really matter. What Epic should do is just release battlepasses for owners who already had them and let them choose which ones to complete (as a mini battlepass.)
I think that brawl stars did a good job with exclusivness of skins. So basically they made it that brawl pass skins are exclusive for 1 year and then they can be bought. They keep some stuff from brawl passes fully exclusive but skins do return. They also made recolors of fully exclusive skins, same model but different colors, so i dont know

They should make it so you can buy the most popular skins in the item shop but make it so you can also re-earn past battle passes you've purchased but didn't finish (i didn't finish S3, S4, S5, S9, SX, C2S2, feels bad man)
They should only let people finish old battle passes they bought, like i bought ch1s6 bp and was like tier 55 when it ended, so i'd get a option to choose the battle pass and finish it since i already bought it

I would love to have a chance to grind the 6 levels I needed for Midas, The 10 levels I needed for Kondor, or even grind the Marvel season.

Yes i think they should occasionally put og skins back in the shop for a day here and there. Like no one is asking for them to be repeatedly put in or left in for long periods of time. But at least give new players a chance to get them...

Requirements: level 300, cost 950 + 50 each season has past after it, 50% off if you've existed during that season, 75% off if you owned it previously and battle pass must be eligible and can only level one at a time.

I think battle passes should I'm an OG and i would love if they returned to fortnite
my solution is:
make an exclusive version of the tier 100 skin (so epic doesn't have to make an extra version of each character in the pass) of each pass for anyone who completed them in the original release and also an additional cosmetic for everyone who bought them on original release
about the edit styles thing, what about skins like drift that are meant to be evolved with challenges? would you just be left barebones with a worse overall version of it?
I Just made a video on this but if we can't buy/sell/trade/auction off skins then why dose it matter if the skin is rare? I mean the skins don't offer any competitive advantage and you can't buy/sell accounts so to me why dose it matter if a new player gets a old battle pass skin?
I would say they could do what they did with skull trooper, giving all og owners a new variant that cant be unlocked when bought.

Nah I think battlepass stuff shouldn't come back. But they should make it where if you purchased a past battle pass you can still complete it. Since you paid for it and didn't get everything.

Except it's the same argument, everybody tells newer players suck but you missed out the same applies here you want the "exclusive" and "rare" skins you missed out on but you don't want other players too

Absolutely they should come back. With their bonus styles for sure. The only things that should never come back are the Super Styles. They actually take a while to get, and are kinda grindy.
It is far more effort to unlock the Super Styles than it is to unlock the skin itself, and I automatically "respect" a rare Super Style about 100x more than seeing an old skin. Example: I see Rick Sanchez, Slime Rick, or Agent Peely all the time. I've only seen Gold Agent Peely once and Prismatic Rick once *ever*.
Additionally, like other games, FN should definitely sell old battle passes with all rewards and bonus rewards excluding Super Styles. Then, when you press "Battle Pass" you can choose whether to make your gameplay XP contribute towards the current battle pass, an older one. Halo Infinite and Dead By Daylight work like that. It's awesome. You never feel like your time is wasted and it means if there's a shitty pass currently, instead of skipping the season, you can instead play through an old one.
This problem only gets increasingly annoying as more time goes, and for the 9 year old sweats that hold their skins with such import that they don't want to share, then just have the only passes available for purchase to be ones that are 5 years or older, so that way there is a 5 year grace period of FOMO for missing out to teach you to not miss next time.
Currently Battle pass skins have value because they don't come back, and become more valuable as seasons go on.
I think all the battle passes should be available for purchase but requiring the completion of all newer battle passes.
This way after completing the current battle pass you would continue/begin leveling up the most recent unfinished battle pass
there are emotes that do kinda have remakes like the floss with windmill floss and no sweat
I quit playing when i found i wouldn't be able to get certain skins. Then i bought a few accounts & i haven't put it down.
Id me more than happy to delete all my purchased accounts if i could obtain these skins legitimately.
I understand collab skins would be harder to do because of licensing purposes but skins that epic created themselves, like drift, peely, ECT, shouldn't be an issue.
something that would be cool is that og battle passes could return if you buy the season battle pas and an extra, and the og players that buy that extra could own a exclusive og style, just like the ghoul trooper and skull trooper

Personally I started playing about a year and a half ago. Missed out on all the iconic characters which is pretty sad. Not to mention the emotes I would be overjoyed if they came back. I would even pay double than what their rarity would be just to be able to have some of the og skins like Peely.
I have thought that there might be a chance with the new style of OG that they could bring back some of the old skins and have it themed. I wouldn’t care at all if they gave original owners something added to it.

as someone who didn’t complete season 3 chapter 1 battle pass but completed all the other battle passes from chapter 1.
I think you should be able to get them, BUT you must;
-1: pay (a lot)
-2: grind for it, like getting 30/40 kills in 1 game

I think we should be able to buy battle passes in the seasons we played in but weren’t able to get
They need it make it to where if you’ve already bought that battle pass but didn’t finish it, you can go back and fully max it out, like if you bought that battle pass and got to level 50 you can finish it out that would be unique
I want the skins to come back, but as an item shop skin? That is actually lame, I want the full battle pass plus bonus rewards and all to return. On top of that, the previous chapters/seasons, with OG apparently returning as a permanent mode why wouldn't the other chapters not come back? Maybe have a mode that rotates previous chapters and during a certain time frame you can buy pass(es) for the chapter and with high XP gain. Altered idea/less in depth from my original one.
nah I am really proud of owning black knight but I would trade that pride any day for the chance at getting older battle passes. Besides it is just a cosmetic after all.
