This boss is so good! This chessbox dynamic in a fight is something that could be effectively translated as a boss fight in other games. Interesting take on the bosses as always
I'm so glad you liked it. I was worried the "Chess" part of the boss fight would slow it down too much, but after playing it a few times it's honestly just right.
A suggestion for a new mechanic is excess data: you accidently hack TOO MUCH data and you need to put back that code BACK into the ai otherwise a fail safe inside the robot activates where it notices a data breach and self destructs, killing you with no way to avoid it.
That’s a really cool mechanic! I love ramping up the difficulty.
You should do an item for a boss fight that's al and it can help you damage the boss

Comment on the defrag attack:
Could make it "reorganize" stuff to be annoying, like teleporting the bombs and such to Unpleasant Locations, aka near you (plus moving null pointers around).
Oh, also if you can change death message text (without a datapack), I got distracted writing lines for that.
Defragged: "[Player]'s cells were sorted by size."
Firewall Purge: "[Player] was mistaken for a virus."
Recycle Bomb: "[Player] fell into a file being deleted."
Nulled: "[Player] found a bug in the AI."
I LOVE these custom death messages. And yeah I totally agree on the defrag mechanics change since real disk defragmentation doesn’t actually delete anything. Thanks so much for the comment!

I have 3 ideas for the binary redistribution minigame:
1.Cut & pasters - two 'connected' blocks which, when a binary element hits the cutter, teleports it to the paster
2.Trash bin - a tinted glass which destroys the binary element on touch
3.Decoder - some of the binary elements could be "encoded", and can't be put into the slot. Thats where the decoder comes in. It decodes the encoded binary element, making it usable again
And also, this boss looks(and almost 100% is) wonderful, and I can't wait to play it! You're really talented

I really like how it isnt a entity and is just blocks for the boss. It makes it feel more like a platformer like the first sonic the hegdehog boss fight rather that a dark souls type thing. Very cool👍

An rgb block that changes its color every time the code is reflected would be a cool mechanic.

I think a thing for a dark ver of a quest would be to sacrifice something to rule the start places and has a secret boss fight of somebody trying to defeat u for doing this thus they are the final fight of dark path

I know it's probably a bit too late to suggest this, but... how about you go full Undertale and make a neutral path? Maybe you play both sides, so that you always come out on top, or you strike out on your own and do whatever, upsetting both parties in the process... would be really cool to see how you would go about doing something like this :)

Have you considered doing any bosses that are less mini game-ish and more melee 'pve'. If not for a boss could be cool to see something like that for some stronger enemies. You would be able to get quite detailed with scoreboards.

I have an idea for a new story part: an evil robot is trying to destroy everything and you have to do some mini dungeons to find parts from which you build your own robot to defeat the evil robot and the evil way would be to use the parts from the dungeons to improve the evil robot

What if you made a wave-based Minigame where you had to defend a point from enemies, with 2 minibosses and a boss to take out every 5 waves with a total 15 waves
By every 5 waves for 2 miniboss and a boss I mean first the minibosses in waves 5 and 10 then the boss on wave 15

One of my ideas was there’s a nearby town holding a powerful artifact golden sword that is capable of helping a lot against the antagonists but is currently in a stasis chamber. The chamber is on lockdown and enemies are pouring into the area so you need to defend it while the operator troubleshoots the lockdown protocols
Avid what are you doing in that boxing arena? You said you were gonna do something about that like a YEAR ago!

You can add a color reversion block. As an example, if you have white binary numbers and you send them into color reversion block, their color will reverse and change to white.

An idea for the re-programming game: Multiple floors >:) As a harder challenge, the code could travel up and down as well as forwards, backwards, left and right.
That’s an awesome idea. A third dimension to these puzzles would be really fun and it’d fit into the existing commands pretty seamlessly.

Good question! I've never played Minecraft story mode, but people tell me AL is similar to a character there. Hopefully that answers your question!

@@theworfer27 I don't know how it works on java, but on bedrock you can specify the entity dealing damage with the damage command to cause knockback, hitting the player away from the entity.

Light blocks are your friend here! You can get them using the /give command.
And do you just put them everywhere?
I make a lot of custom weapons using command blocks only, its fun to limit myself to learn more about it. I find it too unminecrafty to install data packs on worlds, I just put the command blocks in a chest, save the nbt and store it in a saved hotbar. But I just don't feel the motivation to make custom bosses, how do you keep getting the inspiration?
Honestly, having an amazing community has kept me going. You should totally join my discord. We have some of the best command blockers and adventure map makers out there. You could share your builds there and maybe get that motivation you’re looking for!

What mod do you use to make the command block gui look much cleaner? Also, how did you do the sounds?
I use Better Command Block UI! And I do most of the sounds in editing, but they could be added with a resource pack pretty easily.
