Killers look for 3 things in a victim; loneliness, weakness, and ease of accessibility. A haunted house may in fact have the accessibility, but not so much the others. The best place for a serial killer is actually an old peoples home.
It's kinda interesting how modern technology makes horror movies more and more difficult and problematic. I mean amusement parks are full cameras. So are city's. It's hard to have a fancy serieal killer with grand tactics when there are definitely cameras that will see them. As well as phones making it either to call for help. Most horror movies just ignore these problems or brush them off, but it would be cool to see a horror movie that actually took all this into account
I remember there was a period where you could tell the screenwriters didn't know what to do about cell phones. They used to have the perfect excuse for someone being helpless: they're not near a phone. That's why you had to have the killer cut the phone cord, or something like that. But when people started getting cell phones, audiences quickly grew frustrated with that trapped mentality and say, "I would just use my cell phone." So, they had to figure out how to trap the victim WITH a cell phone. "Battery died" is usually the solution.
@@martinsorenson1055 it’s always the dead battery, left it somewhere, it broke in the middle of the movie, or the problem every genre of movie likes to use no service

The easiest solution is to have security checking the actors and the customers in the hallways to make sure people are ok. Yeah sure it might break immersion but your safety is always a better alternative to being hurt because you wanted to feel a little more immersed. Also who leaves actual dangerous tools and weapons just lying around in a scare theme park?
Generally, these places have areas where immersion is high and have areas where immersion can be broken a lot more. Not only do they have actual dangerous tools and weapons, apparently they were letting people get drunk in the place?
@@highlightermarca-texto3281 Yup, there's not a single theme park or haunted house event as big as this one in the movie that would have any sharp metallic objects, like the pick, the guillotine, or the axe. The premise of the movie was idiotic.
Ehh, its not as uncommon as you might think. I've personally used metal shovels, baseball bats, real chainsaws (sans chains) heavy lengths of chain, a dulled hatchet... metal sparks when you hit concrete, and adds to the scare factor. Trick is to swing at the ground a few feet in front of people. Folk jump backwards and if you're already swinging to miss, you'll be fine.
@@eansba88- That sounds like a quote from someone before they lose the end of their foot because “we use real shovels to get good scare factor” or whatever. No offense though

"Other employees won't easily know who is or isn't an employee" Actually it's one of the jobs where the employees are most likely to know. The staff usually consists mostly of people who have worked there every year for several years, and they all work together to rehearse stuff that they then act out repeatedly over and over again, so they know what costumes other employees have, where their stations are, what their lines are, etc. They tend to know each other well from working together a long time, plus a lot of people look into the job and/or get hired due to knowing friends who already work there. They also tend to be hyper-vigilant about not overstepping their bounds with customers since at best it can result in getting attacked or the customer fainting/having a health crisis/hurting themselves in a panic, or at worst could result in a lawsuit, so they'll probably notice when someone else isn't acting appropriately lol. I knew someone who worked at a haunted house, and if it wasn't seasonal I totally would have wanted to try working at one. A seasonal job didn't work for my situation though, and where I live there aren't any permanent haunted houses.
You should go! Haunted houses are a hoot... more fun than being a customer is being an employee. The pay sucks, and you will get punched at least once a season, but maaan is it the most stress relieving job. Only one I've ever worked I could scream "im gunna gut you like a fucking fish" at a customer and not get fired. Tried that at a Dennys... didn't work out for me. ;)
OMG!! No joke, when I was 17, me and my best friend, were at a city fair (not a theme park) and we both weigh 85-90lbs, but we got in a caged Ferris wheel that knocks us in a circle, EVERY single time they would stop it and twirl us as hard as possible. I was so mad (like an idiot, I threatened them…) we were supposed to be let go quite a few times but instead they’d spin us again. After almost 45 minutes of that, we were finally let go. Way too tired to fight or scream, we left (already past curfew). The next day we were black and blue from head to toe with bruises. Welp, guess I should have never screamed at them🤷🏼♀️ at least, not until I was out of the cage. But, I remember how ppl were laughing, thinking it was funny, it wasn’t. There’s strange and mean people out there, but it taught me very specific things. I’ll definitely never be in a situation that I’m not prepared for. (I haven’t thought about that in awhile, until I saw the part about the girl being trapped on the roller coaster and how everyone thought it was part of the show)
At an amusement park my sister and her boyfriend decided they were gonna ride this weird spinny ride together and nobody wanted to ride with me. So here I am in my carts thing by myself and the operator decides he wanted to mess with me for being alone, and spins and jerks the ride. I almost fell out, from over 20 feet up. I'm crying and holding on for my life and other riders are telling him to stop. He eventually let me off and I sat outside the ride sobbing and my sister and her boyfriend had a blast and didn't even realize I almost died. Good times

Honestly the concept of this horror movie is really good and a genuine possibility in the real world. Haunted houses and Halloween in general is the best cover for murders you can get because everyone dismisses it initially as fake until it's too late to run, so you can forgive people not running immediately unless they're true scaredy cats.
All the things you mentioned about how dangerous a haunted house can be is often why many of the ones I have been to go the extra mile for security, dark corners are good places to hide cameras, everyone who is a part of it is confirmed when they enter, and only they enter, etc. Of course only speaking for the haunted houses I've either visited or been a part of, of course, but yeah the safety of everyone involved was paramount.
I actually really liked this movie on Netflix because it could be a real situation and I loved that it was at a haunted house place. Also because the actor Taylor was my favorite on scream tv they're so good lol.
You'd be surprised how far they go with those horror experiences. I went to one that ended where you were chased at the end by a guy with a chainsaw. Of course, it was just a prop and there was no chain on the saw, but we spoke to the actor later in the night and it was indeed a real chainsaw, just with no chain. The revving sound was enough to make you run, though XD
I completely forgot this movie existed. I remember a group of friends and I had seen the ad for it while we were watching _The Nun_ and we'd been laughing so damned hard that we actually had one dude shout at us across the theatre to "shut the fuck up."
See if I knew I was getting staked by a masked man in a scare festival. I would have tried to lose him in a big crowd, and then find the nearest exit and leave. It's not worth the potential danger to stay.
If the phone message sounds about the same time as you sent it. thinking you are being stalked and the stalker is using the phone you could sound bomb it by pressing a character and sending the message 10-15 times in a few seconds then you will know.

As someone who works as an armed security guard (going on to 6 years now)...irl we would take these claims seriously. If a person or a group came up to me while working security at this park and claimed that someone was stalking/harassing them and someone in their group went missing, we'd take these claims seriously. I'd get in contact with both the park management as well as my fellow security guards (all guards in these jobs would usually have walkie talkies due to some being mobile and others stationary) and inform them of the situation. Park Management would look into the situation of the potential employee taking things too far and the other security guards would be on the lookout for the Other, while the group of friends would be held at a security office until the situation was resolved. On top of this, since the first girl the Other killed went missing, there is a chance that their group would have reported their friend missing, now making these multiple cases of reported missing persons in the park on top of this stalker case...so steps would definitely be taken. The security guard that ignored their claim is doing a bad job and flopped big time...
Good to see content finally not having my phone the last 2 months would’ve thought there would be more videos but that’s not it(if anyone cares I just finished my OST training for the army) and as always keep these videos coming if you would
Worked at a haunted house for 7ish years, even in a linear house, with only one path forward and back, its easy to split a party. I liked "playing prop" (pretending to be a dummy) and waiting for a group to walk halfway past me before jumping at the middle people. Folk always assume the front and back get all the scares, so hitting a group in the middle sends both sides fleeing in opposite directions.
I don't know if the stomach stab the killer got did much. There's so much we don't know about him. For all we know he may be a doctor when he's not killing people. Your earlier comment about planting weapons beforehand may explain how the real ax was so readily available. Also he may be a volunteer for the park which means that if they're are cameras, which I doubt given this place, he may know where the blind spots are.

In this case we see how the killer benefits from the crowd thinking that the victims are part of the act. You could also use this to your advantage by shouting something like “First person to take off that person’s (points to killer) mask wins $10,000”. That should get at least several people going for the mask. Though it could also do nothing, it’s certainly better than panicking.

It’s always fun seeing him play both sides, especially for stuff like 30 Days of Night and I Am Legend.
Killers look for 3 things in a victim; loneliness, weakness, and ease of accessibility.
A haunted house may in fact have the accessibility, but not so much the others. The best place for a serial killer is actually an old peoples home.
2 ways to survive:
1. Avoid clear OSHA violation death traps.
2. Always double tap.
@@Menace_To_Society-_- I have a particular hatred for the "no reception" bullshit. I hit truly "dead" areas very seldomly (usually in areas PURPOSELY covered by reception blockers). And the best part? You don't even need reception to dial emergency services!!
Yeah no way a theme park would leave a sharpened axe laying in the middle of an attraction where anyone could pick it up.
This THIS is why I don't do haunted houses. Everyone is in a mask and if someone decides that tonight is the night to live out their Scream fantasy everyone is fucked.

You'd think the park would have implied a "safe word" for guests so there is no confusion in case of real emergencies.
Any combination of "implied" and "no confusion" is asking for trouble though.

As somone who has never went to a haunted theme park, I can confirm this is true.
Which part?
@@erinw.9256 The part where bad stuff happens.
Good times

I just want to congratulate you for the ad breaks, they're always so smooth.
Honestly the concept of this horror movie is really good and a genuine possibility in the real world. Haunted houses and Halloween in general is the best cover for murders you can get because everyone dismisses it initially as fake until it's too late to run, so you can forgive people not running immediately unless they're true scaredy cats.
i love it when he insults the characters for their stupidity and incompetence

My favorite part of these videos is the sponsors during the good part of the video
yeah buddy thanks for posting new video, i wanna see how it goes
