It could also be a bit of a spiff from the 300 movie in the end when the narrator (can't remember his name) says remember us, remember why we died, no simpler an order a king can give.
Reminds me of the Disney Recess series, in one episode as part of a goverment experiment they remove recess and give the children test after test, thinking it would improve their scores and can't understand why it gets worse and worse, then the goverment gets the ingenious idea to alocate some time in the middle of the school day where the children are being let outside to do their own thing, truly an inovative thing, first time anyone have ever thought of that.
That sabaton reference being a captains last words for his last stand is awesome, they must have been outnumbered 40 to 1 but still they chose to resist and bite.
@@RomanvonUngernSternbergnrmfvus Why wouldn't we? Fastest way to enter atmosphere and great for shock and awe. Build em well enough, and you got an orbital bombardment as well!

yeah! i really would have loved to hear about a part three of that "recess = war training" storyline. Imagine the look on the aliens faces when we tell them that our "deathworld" is so energy rich that most animals have developed ways to burn off that energy in a fashion that allows them to train for life or death encounters.
What kind of world doesn't have predators on it, even considering talking about a lack of food, and a need to reduce calorie intake, it sounds like a peaceful life
Name an Ozzie animal that can hunt and eat a kangaroo. Humans and dingoes and that's all that's left. And dingoes go for easier prey unless really hard up.
It doesn't mean they don't or didn't have predators. Hiding and resting when possible is also a workable survival strategy, and a preferable one if you're saving calories.
They have a album called the “last stand” and it is one of their greatest album. I swear that ship must have been crewed by polish hands and that drop ship was either smoking snakes or devil dogs. if you like history and power metal I can’t recommend them enough, military bands have even played their songs pretty often.
I don't recall the title, but that third story did seem like it mirrored another story that Agro read. In it, an intelligence officer is observing a Xeno force to learn about them, and is running through sewers and such to escape them after they discover he is there. He is waiting on extraction to get his intel back to headquarters when some space marine types that seemed straight out of Alien or Starship Troopers land, and one by one by a dozen start dying to get him and his precious intel safely offplanet. I think that's the part about "300 soldiers died".

Are the aliens trying to cancel recess forever? This sounds like something Captain Underpants would be fighting.

I was gonna say it sounds like the recess movie

A bit late but the name of the song is based off of a supposed motto they had, *Resiste Et Mords*, Resist and Bite in English.
1st story: “he he, aliens confused about recess.”
2nd story: “he he, aliens learning about recess.”
3rd story: *War, Sacrifice, Extinction*
I love that everyone agrees that humans *WILL* have drop pods and that is as awesome as it is correct.
