I just started a repairing business in my country and your videos helped me so much. I repaired 3 computer motherboard and one smartphone so far. Thnx for posting such helpful contents.
I think that sweets here we call facturas, there are many types, usually eaten in breakfast or with mate!, it’s very common here to give that kind of food as a gift for a good attention or favors. As you can see I’m from Argentina too, and been learning a lot with your vids. Thank you very much!
saludos desde argentina, yo también miro sus videos y los sigo hace bastante! así somos los argentinos muy agradecidos! gracias por el contenido del canal, y por mencionar a este compañero que esta en su país!
As I go back and look at these older videos, I see things that handicapped you that are made easy now with the new techniques and tools. But, to make pads out of wire, I would have put the wire on a piece of metal like an anvil and then hammered it to flatten it out to make a more receptive pad. Now you have those premanufactured pads with wire attached that is so much more useable. Good show for troubleshooting here. Thank YOU!
You know so much in this field. It is impressive! I'm just beginning to get into this field as a hobby. I bought what I know is a good multimeter (Fluke 117 Model). But, as I'm very new to this, and picking this up because I want a hobby, what do I set the meter to in order to detect shorts? I know that this is a very elementary question. But you have to start somewhere.
The filters send the image to TV, not to get image at portable mode, if you change the ic video gonna work, if the filters or only one doesn't work the Switch will never send it to TV, i learned a new way to fix it, thanks and ill share with you some tricks i know about this console, 2 years repairing switch and still surprise me
Superb!!! I really enjoy your competency and how you make quick survey to deal with problems. Boss I have an important question for you. Please l would like to know the kinds of FILTERS and CAPACITORS that are perfectly suitable for each device. For example; you replaced the damaged filters with 2.0 filters in this video. Do all phones use the same filters and capacitors? Or do iPhones have different filters and capacitors from Android phones? Also,do all laptops use same kind of filters and capacitors? Please kindly give me a list of devices and their respective types of filters and capacitors they use. Example: 1. iPhones (all versions/models) 2. Laptops (all versions) 3. Tablets and iPads(all versions) 4. Xbox Etc....... I will be much appreciated if you can educate me on this subject. Have a productive day 😘.
Your Big Boss does a lot of work in the entire repair but I have hardly seen him utter even a single word during the whole video. There would be repairs which he would be handling himself. Request Big Boss to make a video and post it once please 🙂
Really enjoying your channel. I have a question if you or anyone else doesn't mind sharing. You do a lot of short circuit testing with a multimeter on the capacitors. 1. Are all capacitors on the motherboard meant to have one side grounded to a single ground point? I've got some capacitors that are not grounded on both sides. 2. What does it mean when you test for continuity on both sides of a capacitor and the meter shows continuity? 3. Why does it seem like most problems are to do with the capacitors or IC chips? What about resistors and other components? 4. Last question was my touch screen isn't working on my Switch, but after replacing it, it still doesn't work. Is there an IC that controls this? I have found about 6 capacitors that are grounded on both sides on the front and back of the motherboard, don't know if I should replacement them and don't know how to find the values of them either. Any help would be appreciated. :)
I just recently joined your channel, i'm been watching for days non stop, great content, i'm learning a lot from you, can you share the model number of the arm and the mount of your camera?
For testing purposes or if you don't have the filters you could just run a wire to connect the solder pads. It shouldn't make a big difference in the final result and the console would still work.
Hello, how are you? I recently repaired a Nintendo Switch with the same problem, I changed the P13USB and a filter that was in cut and problem solved, however when connecting to the dock it does not give the TV image, if the usb connector is ok and all the pins have continuity with the board, what problem could it be ? I would really appreciate if you could help me, I really like your videos, I'm from Chile.
It's a very common problem. The video chip gets blown when a charger that is too powerful (or often any non Nintendo official charger) is plugged in. I have the same fault in my switch board but I really need to buy a microscope because running a wire to that filter (I have a missing pad) is really difficult because of how tiny the pads are under that chip
I get how a low quality replacement adapter might cause issues, but how is a more powerful charger blowing the video chip? Do you mean a charger that supplies more voltage than the device requires?
Normally u do a full physical inspection before attempting repair. In this case u said u have replaced the chip but how do u skipped the inspection before that??
Does it matter that the meter is in diode mode when checking for shorts or is it that you are just looking for a tone? I ask as my meter only has tone in ohms mode. Thanks for the videos.
Hi, I bought a used Nintendo switch that has an overheating issue. The previous owner told me that he tried to change the fan but it didn't work and, sure enough, the new fan he installed doesn't spin at all. He suggested that probably problem with fan diod What do you think ? Is it a motherboard issue ? Am I out of luck ? Thank you.
Hi from Puerto Rico love the channel. Have a switch that charges fine but does not show video on dock . Dock is perfect have other switch and works fine. What chip could couse issue ?apreciate the help if possible.
How do you make solder wicking look so easy? When I use it on charge port pin holes it never seems to clear them completely. What am I doing wrong, more flux maybe? Solder had been mixed with low melt earlier before using hot air to remove it. Keep up the good work!
Higher quality flux/solder maybe? Just get a test board and experiment with different consumables, even with different temps and techniques. Find out first hand, no answer will beat that personal experience with your own setup ;)
Hi! I think my fuse is blown. There ist no Peep. Do you know how much Amp this fuse is? Please upload a Video for fix the fuse, which you shown in this Video.
The first resistor, right up from the charging port, you stated it was a zero ohm resistor. I have been having all types of issues trying to find one because I was told it’s a fusable resistor. Can you give the values on a replacement one because I don’t have a donor board.
where are you putting the positive lead to make this test with diode mode? i thought you needed to put both leads on both ends of the diode/fuse to take a reading :o
Hi, my fuse above the charge port is not continuest doesn’t make the sound when I test both ends. Do I just need to replace that teeny tiny part or it’s about part I should replace. Thanks
I buyed with 80$ a PS4 with SU-30645-8 error because the seller can't update ,it starts only in Safe Mode, i download from PSN the full firmware and tried with usb exacly ...root PS4...UPDATE ...PS4UPDATE.PUP , cleaned from dust , change the thermal paste, formatt the HDD, initialized, rebuild data base, but the same error asking the 7.02 firmware or later. I read on the internet that someone have this problem and find a Ram module broken. You have this problem until now with one of the broken ps4 ?
@@nibster13 the problem starts from one of the ram memories, it has 16 pieces on the motherboard. They must be changed one by one and then checked which one is defective. I paid about $ 70 ... $ 80 at a console repair shop.

If the noise filter you replaced is a pass through then could you have just put a jumper wire there then covered it with uv protect?

Hi. What would happen if a trace is lifted in the usb under side, is there a fix for it? How would you fix it?
