Great feedback on the video guys, I’m really happy so many of you are enjoying the series. I definitely feel very fortunate to have Scott join us for this. For those of you that feel the lingo is still a little technical for you, stick with the series, when we’re all done I think you’ll have a better understanding of some of the key aspects of the golf swing.

Actually his focus points are very easy to comprehend
I like the focus on the ribs to fire faster than the arms. Something I have been trying to accomplish, not letting my arms to race to the ball.
      Very rewarding.

It's nice to see a Tour Level Instructor's view on things, it's like being on the outside looking in. He is seeing things we might never even consider? i have already benefitted from that discussion about the left Rib Side, Tried it yesterday, it almost eliminates my slight "Over the Top Move" Education Eh. I am sure you will benefit from his instruction... Good Stuff

The bio-mechanical truths of Scott's instruction is refreshing; and kudos to the fact that he has several swing patterns he teaches (not a one size fits all). Takes a very complex athletic move, the golf swing, and makes it easy to feel the correct moves internally.

Great video and great work Ian on working so hard on these changes. I’m very impressed with Scott and his ability to teach in small increments and how he’s such a proponent of feel. And having the student feel the move or motion. It’s not talk. It’s hands on feel oriented instruction to ensure Ian is feeling correct and incorrect sequencing. It’s so simple yet a lot of teachers can’t communicate this. It’s wonderful to watch and I got a lot out of this video and the previous. Ian and I fight similar motions so this has been awesome

I really liked this episode. The way Scott explained different aspects of the swing and demonstrated with Ian was helpful in a sense that even i as a high handicapper could take something away. In fact checking the swing at the top for angle of the club and then hit from there was something i could use on my first of the year range session today. And it actually helped me hit where i was aiming rather than pull hooking.

Check lists , essential for accountants and President of the USA. For a subconscious, chain action golf swing, happening in less than 1/4 second.. not so much.
Right elbow, shoulder are controlled by the right hand(right hand swinger) One intention to keep right palm facing the sky at top of BS through impact, guarantees right elbow and right shoulder perform properly, as well as proper shallow plane.

  • @ryang1910

I would say, because I do it, and it works, is, why not just take it back to the position below Ian? Like Rahm. All that taking it up then dropping it into the slot just adds another piece of movement that has to be accurately placed in order to be consistent. Stay on the same plane back as you will be on the way down. And if you watch the video, Ian on his best shot didn't take it to above Ian. Lol. Now if that above Ian thing allows for more speed because you can freely take the club back more, and it allows more speed, just keep it in the slot and rotate back more. Rahm only takes it back 75%. He is starting his down swing from where this lesson has you make another move on the way down from 100%. If you can see it and watch the pros, they are not going above Ian then dropping it back down. Some are. But most of the best ball strikers are not. Now this could be just a trick to exaggerate a feel. Teachers do that a lot.

7:58 "Now you can even hit it". Ian's body and mind literally freezes up and cannot move. He has recoil back up, and if you look closely at his downswing the top of the grip is back pointing slightly inside the ball again the he swings through. The good shots Ian had, all had the top of the grip aligned with the ball and even slightly inside. The two times he tried to shallow the club the most, the ball went way right. I simply can not understand this advice.
