These lifts are so "standard" built, that there are some that still have two sets of doors, even in lifts where they don't need or use them! They are more commonly seen in Hong Kong, Australia and Singapore other than in the UK where they are based in. They are rarely seen in continental Europe; only a few of them have been found in the Netherlands, Denmark and Austria so far.

it seems like countries outside of US use Dewhurst a lot.

Meanwhile all the public elevators in Jakarta (afaik) doesn't speak our language (some doesn't even speak at all).
Because they don't give sh*t about accessibility stuffs for elevators.
