    Ivan! That was spectacular! Looks like we all went with you there and you are right, feeling like a tourist here 😅great ride but you dusted your fellow scooter homie in the apollo! Cudos to him! He kept up with you guys all the way until the end. Nice mean machines but Sir, you have balls of steel going that fast there not to mention the off reading part was a gotcha! Great video bro and stay safe. Glad that you enjoyed it too.🎉

      Hey Domingo, thanks for watching the video! I'm glad you enjoyed it because I feel like I'm finally starting to get a hang of filming/ editing montages along with how to edit the ride footage so it's a bit more immersive while telling the story. Lol, I felt like such a tourist on that ride. That's why I was so like "ohhhhhhh ahhhhhhh wowwwwww"😅. Kenneth and his Apollo always kill it. He kept up with the crazy group ride we did earlier this year in Manhattan! From what I hear he's upgrading soon so I'm looking forward to seeing what he gets!
      Hahaha going that kind of speed just takes practice and level of comfort with the scooter. People got to try it during the ride and they were TERRIFIED of the power in ECO mode. Next time I go on a SI group ride, I'm sacrificing my speed so that i can install offroad tires lol. I'm not falling for that again🤣

      @eyebahnrides Keep up the good work as the cinematic life suits you. Great ideas always pays off sooner or later. Yeah, I could have imagined seeing the sites too. That speed you are right about getting used to it because when I was on the Mantis, I thought I was the man going 40mph but damn, you almost hit 60mph! On a Nami! Lol 😆 awesome but stay safe bro and don't leave your fellow scooters behind lol 😆. Props to the guy in the apollo as you got my respect for keeping up. Question, was that a phantom he was riding?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад +1

      @@domingoc9721 From what I remember it was a stock Phantom he was riding. Kenneth (the phantom rider) is actually planning on upgrading soon but he was able to keep up with a quick 1 hour charge halfway through! That whole ride was about 35+miles with some pretty aggressive riding at times and really steep inclines at times!
      I know!! I wish I had turbo on the whole time because we could've gone over 60 lol. By the time I turned on the turbo, I was already at 60% battery =(. To be fair, 40 on the mantis felt like 60 on the Nami! That smaller frame and tires makes you feel the speed much more.
      Thanks man, I appreciate the vote of confidence. I'm spending alot of time learning about editing and filming so I'm glad it's paying off lol.

      Yeaaaaa mannn..... those speed runs were no joke. I'm glad my little scooter could keep up with all the beasts that were there. That custom AR and JB360's RR were absolutely bonkers. Yea, my camera actually kept getting caught on branches in the beginning. That's why @JB360 kept laughing at me lol. After the offroading debacle, I ended up lowering it a little bit. Though I did try to maintain the same angle while i was editing the 360 footage. I'm glad we had the opportunity to let the performance of our machines shine at the end, IMHO i think we were going that fast because we were all starving lol.

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  11 месяцев назад +1

      You definitely can! All you need is a selfie stick with the adapter at the end for the Max. If these aluminum ones can hold up the heavy ass insta360 cams it can do the max. Worst case you can always get a carbon fiber stick. Then you jerryrig it on to a back pack lol. What I do is I wedge it in the laptop sleeve and prop it up using the folding top of the bag. If I weren’t so cheap, I’d buy the proper backpack mount from Insta360 😅

    Great group ride! Loved the offroad part (I agree I don't either like offroading on my max) thought is was pretty funny 😂 and that last speed run was insane!😮 next to all those bikes!
    I have one question, the Max is one of the best scooters on the market and obviously keeps up with those big bikes while also beeing one of the most waterresistant scooter. So when it started to rain, were you worried about the max getting wet? Or just yourself getting wet? Or just worried about riding conditions in the rain?
    Just wondering because I ride my Max here in the forever changing Icelandic weather system alot of the times in wet conditions and its no problem for the Nami especially since I had the motors completely sealed then everything is well isolated.
    One of my favourite channels these days, keep it up my friend ❤

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад +1

      Hey Snorri, thanks for watching the video! I think the off road portion wouldve been more manageable with proper off road tires but it was a nightmare with the PMT Stradales lol. Yeaaaaa... those speed runs were insane. Everyone was quite surprised by how quick the Burn E was!
      I was worried about the riding conditions and my camera equipment getting wet. As you saw, there was quite a number of trees in the area we were riding in when the rain started coming down. We all know that water + leaves is basically like riding on ice and I was afraid of crashing. As for my camera equipment, it's rated for some water exposure. However, I don't have any water resistance because I'm running a microphone mod that leaves my camera exposed.
      On a side note, there were a few PEV's there that weren't as water resistant as the Nami so we had to pull over and seek shelter for them. It wasn't that big of a deal at the end because we were able to charge and get awesome icecream!
      Thank you for your kind words and I'm grateful for your support!

      After the whole ride, I still had about 30% battery left. Which means I could've kept going for quite a bit longer, however, I don't think my body would've held up lol. My feet were fine because the deck is wide enough where you can constantly adjust your riding posture mid position. It was mostly my leg/ knees that were giving out lol. People don't realize how involved riding a high powered scooter is. There's constant shifting of weight, squatting for stability/ braking, and bracing for acceleration. It was a hell of a work out and I was beat when I got home lol

      I'm sure they'll do a sale, they always do massive ones for the holidays! If you plan on buying online, you're welcome to use my code to get additional cash off. I think it stacks! I'm in the process of trying to become a proper affiliate with them and all the purchases from the channel help me make a stronger case!

      The the display protector actually came with this new display that I purchased directly from Michael Sha. If you reach out to him on FB he'll be able to get you the information. Just make sure you join the Nami FB group first.
      Yup! When you experience how effortlessly the scooter gets up to speed, that's when you realize it's a high performance machine and not a toy! I wear CE2 Kevlar protection and motorcycle gloves when I'm riding this aggressively. The mesh shirt that I'm wearing has the CE2 Pads in the forearm/elbow, shoulder, and back. I'm hoping to apply for a code from them in the future, but I really like their protective shirts since it doesnt make me look like a Power Ranger... The company is called Beyond Riders. If you decide to purchase one from them, just let them know you found out from my channel. Since a few subscribers purchased from them, they might agree to an affiliate code in the future!

      @@eyebahnrides I just checked their site, looks like decent stuff. Are those mesh shirts actually fairly cool? Strangely, they don't really specify what the difference is between the level 1 and level 2 protection is. Also, I need to get some riding gloves, any recommendations?

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад

      @@ssoffshore5111 the mesh is amazing while you're riding and it breathes really well. It'll still get pretty hot when you're in place or just walking around with it because it's still lined with kevlar and the pads on the back and shoulders hold a bit of heat. Based on my research during my search for armored clothing, this is what i came across for the difference between CE1 and CE2:
      CE Level 1 joint protectors: The mean value for transmitted force must be below 35 kN
      CE Level 2 joint protectors: The mean value for transmitted force must be below 20 kN.
      I will tell you that my CE2 elbow pads definitely did their job during my EUC accident because most of my weight landed on my elbows. My helmet was trashed and so was my shirt, and I walked away with only a metacarpal fracture on my right hand but my elbows and shoulders were 100% ok (just sore).
      As for gloves, these are random ones I got from Revzilla in brooklyn. Padded on the palm and have light knuckle protection. I also have Revvit summer gauntlets with heavier protection but I dont like how high they come up on my forearm. On the super73 I just used padded bike gloves.

      @@eyebahnrides Great info, thanks for the details! 20 kN is about 4500 lbs of force, 35 kN is almost 8000 lbs of force. Either seems like a fairly high level of protection... as long as you're wearing them! Do you always wear this protection when riding to work etc?

    Why didnt you take your dual battery super 73? I find it inconsiderate of the leaders of the group ride...taking off with high speeds and leaving the slower bikes behind. What if someone new doesnt know the way? i mean, if they want to go fast, why have a group ride? Just go ride fast by yourself. I mean, it's called a "group ride" for a reason.

    • @eyebahnrides
      @eyebahnrides  Год назад +1

      Hey Grouchy Dude, thanks for watching this video and welcome back to the comments section! The organizers were actually quite considerate of the stock bikes/ scooters because we took the shortest and least battery intensive route they had planned. The other option would be brutal on stock bikes/ scooters because of the long steep ascent on some of the roads. I edited out alot of the stops in order to keep the footage more fluid, but we did maintain a great pace for most of the ride and would stop often to allow the stock setups to keep up with the pack. You'll notice the single battery s73 was next to me in quite often. The only time we really opened it up is on that last Blvd we were on and it's a literal straight away. Most of the people have been on these rides before. I was one of the few that's never been on this ride lol.
      I didn't take the S73 because I drove to Staten Island and the Nami is the only thing that fit in my car. I don't have a bike hitch in the back because my sedan is small and I don't want to add unnecessary weight to parts of the car when it wasn't designed to hold that kind of weight. The last thing I want is my $,$$$ bike falling off the back and causing a massive accident on the highway lol. Also, its about 2 hour ride (20+ miles) to ride form my house to the meet and I didn't want to be spent by the time I got to the ride.
      I hope this answers the questions and my bad that the editing made it seem like we weren't inclusive on this ride.
