I never knew there could be so many makers of crochet hooks. I never would have imagined the price tag with them either. What makes you decide which hook to use when you are creating? They are beautiful, and the cases are very nice. TFS
What a great question Wanda! Some choices are driven by functionality. For example, a straight hook is all you can use to make a "No Twist In Your Chain", ruclips.net/video/7SJxRnAJtqg/видео.html or I would pick a pointy-tipped hook if I will be working into a lot of tight slip stitches. Also it can depend on what "color" I am feeling that day so I pick that color of hook, and often I choose based on what hooks I haven't really used too much yet so my COACHH reviews can be as honest as possible. When I am in design mode I just use my old standbys so I can move as fast as possible. I hope that helps! Bethany
I just found your videos! I’m a crochet hook collector & I decided to try furls about three months ago, started with the streamline swirls & just fell in love, a little getting used to but once I used it for a day I was hooked, bought a whole set. But the oddesy is the one I really wanted, I am obsessed with them, my all time favorite hooks & so worth the money. Your tools are important & if the price is okay for you & it’s something that makes you happy I say why not, I love my furls!
Welcome to my ThimbleHooks family Peyton! I am happy that you are here! I just love all of my Furls as well. I haven't yet met a hook I didn't like and just love crochet! 😊 I'm not as good with potted plants though..... Have you seen my other "COACHH" episodes? I linked them below. Wow! Total hook Pr0N 😂 I own exactly one clover amour. I won it as part of a crochet kit that I won on Instagram. I really like it, I just wish the handle was a bit longer (I have big hands, the struggle is real)😂
I will collect yarn, but I don’t collect hooks. I primarily use my furls odyssey’s and streamlines and Clover Amours for amigurumi. I only work on one project at a time so I can’t justify buying more hooks. Great review Beth. Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family.
Hi oh with all that beautiful hooks how do decide which to use🤭 Are you planning on doing Tunisian tutorials I've yet to try it and what hook size would you recommend for a beginner? Have a great day🤗
I have many Tunisian tutorials and COACHHs planned Suz, just haven't gotten there yet. I always tell newbies to start with a 5mm: feels good in your hand and very versatile. Hope that helps! Bethany
