@@Mr_Tusspot3030 its both. it means when you are saved by God's grace you are in a state of grace. it's another way of saying saved. you can lose your salvation when you commit a mortal sin and that will lose you your state of grace and have you in a state of sin. if you die in a state of sin you go to the fire nation.
But-but-but…my favorite “free grace” RUclips preacher told me this verse is just talking about physical or temporal mercy, not mercy in regards to my eternal salvation. Otherwise it’s just “works-based salvation” and we’re not saved by works! 😉

There is no Philippians 12:2? If you mean Philippians 1:22 it's the following Philippians 1:21-24: 21 For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain. 22 But if I live in the flesh, this is the fruit of my labour: yet what I shall choose I wot not. 23 For I am in a strait betwixt two, having a desire to depart, and to be with Christ; which is far better. 24 Nevertheless to abide in the flesh is more needful for you. it has 0 to do with salvation. Rather, Paul writes in Romans 3:23-28: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? It is excluded. By what law? of works? Nay: but by the law of faith. 28 Therefore we conclude that a man is justified by faith without the deeds of the law. Come to your own conclusion.

Hey friend, Jesus said in John 19:30 "it is finished". The law was fulfilled, your free gift of salvation was given. John 3:16-18 KJV 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17 For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved. 18 He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God. John 10:28-29 KJV 28 And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand. 29 My Father, which gave them me, is greater than all; and no man is able to pluck them out of my Father's hand. This is one of the best explanations of how the "once saved always saved" mentality is unbiblical, and wrong. Thank you for enlightening us with your thorough explanation.

While my channel isn’t specifically geared towards Catholicism, I do have a few videos from Churches, Cathedrals, and Shrines that I have visited. My friend, your free gift of salvation was finished on the cross when Jesus Christ died for all of our sins after walking this earth in blameless perfection. Jesus fulfilled the law. John 19:30 KJV 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Now there is work to be done, but it has nothing to do with our salvation. God wants us to work the great commission, of spreading the Gospel, and wants us to be his disciples and follow after him. Here is the Gospel John 3:16-18 KJV 16 For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. Acts 16:31 KJV 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house. Ephesians 1:13-14 KJV 13 In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise, 14 Which is the earnest of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, unto the praise of his glory.
Then why did Jesus say, “It is finished” as His last words before He died? His sacrifice on the cross was and is enough for our salvation. Not of our works, but by grace through faith are we saved.
@@elizabethc6958 protestant nonsense just like sola scriptural .Luther actually reworded the Bible and deleted books to support his heresy and Protestants are heretics .Faith without works is dead and Paul says to work for your salvation with fear and trembling .If anybody had faith it was Paul .I believe when Jesus said it is finished He was referring to the old covenant with the Jews .Do not quote me on that
@@elizabethc6958 John 19:28: _After this, Jesus knew that everything had now been completed and, so that the scripture should be completely fulfilled, he said: 'I AM THIRSTY.'_ -- The Old Covenant is fulfilled. Jesus ushers in the New Covenant from the cross. Rom. 7:6 - we are now discharged from the “law,” that is “works of the law.” We now serve God in faith working in love. - Rom. 10:4 - Christ is the end of the “law.” We are now justified by faith in Christ, not faith in the law. *"His sacrifice on the cross was and is enough for our salvation."* -- Heb. 9:12 - Christ’s sacrifice secured our redemption, but redemption is not the same thing as salvation. *"Not of our works, but by grace through faith are we saved."* -- Eph. 2:8-9 - we have been saved by grace through faith, not because of “works,” lest anyone boast. These verses refer to the “works” of the Mosaic law or any works performed in a legalistic sense, where we view God as a debtor to us, and not as our heavenly Father. Paul is teaching us that, with the coming of Christ, we are now saved by grace through faith, not by Mosaic or legal works. This is why Paul refers to “works of ourselves” and so we can’t “boast.” Paul says the same thing about “works” Rom. 4:2,4 - if Abraham was justified by “works,” he would have something to “boast” about. Here, the wages are not counted as grace, but debt. “Boasting” does not attribute works to God, but to oneself. Eph. 2:10 - Right after (Eph. 2:8-9) Paul’s teaching on “works” referring to Mosaic law, Paul says we are created in Christ for “good works” - a clear distinction between “works of law” (Mosaic law/legal payment) and “good works” (law of Christ/reward of grace).
@@elizabethc6958 You’re confusing the finished Work of Jesus, who perfectly fulfilled the law and made an atoning sacrifice for the sins of the world by His death, with the response of the sinner who must repent, believe, and WORK OUT his salvation with fear and trembling. In other words, the objective ACCOMPLISHMENT of the Atonement is not the same as the subjective APPLICATION of the same to the sinner.
Truly, truly, I say to you, unless you eat the flesh of the Son of man and drink his blood, you have no life in you; he who eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life, and I will raise him up at the last day. As the living Father sent me, and I live because of the Father, so he who eats me will live because of me.". Things seemed to be going pretty well. That is until Jesus said “For my flesh is meat indeed, and my blood is drink indeed. He that eateth my flesh and drinketh my blood, dwelleth in me, and I in him.” This was too much for many of his disciples and “From that time many of his disciples went back, and walked no more with him.” Jesus turns to the 12 and asks, “Will ye also go away? Vs 61, Jesus did not back down, for He said, "Does this offend you?" it offends protestants. They devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching and to fellowship, to the breaking of bread and to prayer. Jn 20:21, "As the Father has sent Me, I also send you." Jn 17:18, "Even as thou hast sent Me into the world, so I have sent them into the world." Jn 17:22-23, "And the glory that thou hast given Me, I have given to Matt. 28, 18-20: And Jesus came and spake unto them, saying, All power is given unto me in heaven and in earth. Go ye, therefore. and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost: Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen. Jesus says to the crowd, "He who believes and is baptized will be saved." But in reference to the same people, Jesus immediately follows with "He who does not believe will be condemned." This demonstrates that one can be baptized and still not be a believer. This disproves the Protestant argument that one must be a believer to be baptized. There is nothing in the Bible about a "believer's baptism." "Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior," or "Ask Jesus into your heart" isn't the biblical answer. It’s important to be saved from hell, damnation, and the stain of original sin, but what are we saved for? We are saved for union with Christ. Our salvation began when we were born again through baptism and God’s own Divine Life was restored in our souls, making us like Adam and Eve were in the Garden before the Original (first) Sin. As we go through life, we are united with Christ through the Sacraments he left as gifts for us, especially through Penance (forgiveness of our sins committed since Baptism) and the Eucharist (partaking of God’s own Life, His own Divine Nature, 2 Peter 1:4) - until that day when we are truly united with Him in heaven. Scripture teaches that one’s final salvation depends on the state of the soul at death. As Jesus himself tells us, "He who endures to the end will be saved" (Matt. 24:13; cf. 25:31-46). One who dies in the state of friendship with God (the state of grace) will go to heaven. The one who dies in a state of rebellion against God (the state of mortal sin) will go to hell. (For the teaching on venial (non-deadly) and mortal (deadly) sins, see 1 John 5:16-17) What I must do to be saved: *I must be baptized with water and the Spirit. Mark 16:16, John 3:3-5, Titus 3:5, I Peter 3:20-21. (Exceptions: [1] If I desire Baptism but die before I can be baptized with water and the Spirit, God accepts my desire to be baptized, and [2] If I am killed (martyred) because of my faith, but I have not had the opportunity to be baptized, God accepts my death as my baptism, called the Baptism of Blood). * I must do the will of God the Father. Matthew 7:21 * I must keep the Commandments of God. Matthew 5:19-20, Matthew 7:21, Matthew 19:17, 1 Timothy 6:14, and others. * I must accept the Cross (suffering). Matthew 10:38, Matthew 16:24-25, Mark 8:34, Luke 9:23, Luke 14:27. Phil 1:29, and others. * I must be a member of God's true church. Acts 2:46-47. * I must confess my sins. What else must I do? Catechism #432 The name "Jesus" signifies that the very name of God is present in the person of his Son, made man for the universal and definitive redemption from sins. It is the divine name that alone brings salvation, and henceforth all can invoke his name, for Jesus united himself to all men through his Incarnation, so that "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."😘😘
As a Protestant Christian, I appreciate the appeal to Scripture as basis for your doctrines. With that in mind, I do not believe that Acts 2:46-47 support your statement of "I must be a member of God's true church". When you say that, I'm assuming that you are referring to either the Catholic Church or one of the Orthodox churches who claim to be the "one true church". As a Protestant, I believe that there is one true Church, because there is one body of Christ which is the Church. However, I do not believe that the one true Church is a singular institution of man, like the RCC or the Orthodox churches. I believe that members of the one true Church (the body of Christ) can be found throughout many different institutions of man. If you believe that membership in a singular human institution is necessary for salvation, I would like to see a verse or passage from Scripture which supports that view instead of Acts 2:46-47, because I do not believe that is what that passage teaches. I am trying to be sincere, not quarrelsome. Please show me the truth if I'm wrong.
Wow! Gods hand is in this video. I am currently taking a Bible study at my Roman Catholic Church focusing on Salvation. We need to know our salvation is an ongoing process because we are human, imperfect and fallible. We make mistakes /sins because we are not perfect, God gives us time and opportunity to become fit for heaven. I wish I could play this video at our next class because I fear there may be error in what we are being taught.
They say they don't follow "traditions of men" yet they made a ton of it. They say they hate "rituals" but made tons of them. They say "we only follow the bible" but then follow unbiblical doctrines. They say "faith alone" saves but they themselves left the fullness of faith. They say "make Jesus your personal Lord and Savior" but to a true christian, He's not just his personal Lord and Savior, He's also my family's Lord and Savior, He's also my neighbor's Lord and Savior, He's also my nation's Lord and Savior, He is everyone's Lord and Savior; He is The Lord and Savior.
This is brilliant, and I will use it in the future: *Christ gave us a Church. The Catholic Church. He didn't write the book. The Church gave us the book. And since the Church has been there from the beginning, it knows what the true meaning of scripture is.*

God alone makes the call on who is saved. The Catholic Church teaches that salvation comes through Jesus alone (Acts 4:12), since he is the “one mediator between God and man” (1 Tm 2:5-6). 🙏

Another point to mention is (around timestamp 12:00) many Protestants say that infant baptism is not in the Bible and therefore should not be done and that a person should wait until the age of reason, however, with strict Sola Scriptura, neither is baptism at the age of reason in the Bible. Only adults are explicitly mentioned as having been baptized in Scripture, while all children are implicitly mentioned.
Yes Acts 2 38-39 St Peter includes children. What gets me about Protestants is their inconsistency such as insisting on immersion when the bible is silent! @@CJS326 Matthew 5:25-26 1 Corinthians 3:11-15 Purgatory is a place where the souls of people who die in a state of friendship with God (they are saved) yet are still imperfectly purified go in order to be fully prepared for Heaven. Think of it this way: in this life, we are attached to so many things ie family, position, property, etc. Being separated from those things is painful. Every time you sin, whether mortally or venially, you created an attachment to that sin. Breaking those attachments are likewise very painful which is why so many, even after repenting of and being forgiving for those sins, put off breaking that attachment through prayer and penance. In Heaven, you'll be attached to, that is, you'll love God alone for His sake and everyone else for God's sake. All those attachments must be broken. God in His Mercy provides the fire to burn that all away like dross. Hence, Purgatory. Still, the goal for the Catholic is to pursue God for His own sake and Christian perfection in this life and so go straight to Heaven. "Don't aim for Purgatory. You might miss." That's very difficult and requires the grace and assistance of God.
Saint Luke 9:26-36 Whoever is ashamed of me and of my words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of when he comes in his glory and in the glory of the Father and of the holy angels. Truly I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.” About eight days after he said this, he took Peter, John, and James and went up the mountain to pray. While he was praying his face changed in appearance and his clothing became dazzling white. And behold, two men were conversing with him, Moses and Elijah, who appeared in glory and spoke of his exodus that he was going to accomplish in Jerusalem. Peter and his companions had been overcome by sleep, but becoming fully awake, they saw his glory and the two men standing with him. As they were about to part from him, Peter said to Jesus, “Master, it is good that we are here; let us make three tents, one for you, one for Moses, and one for Elijah.” But he did not know what he was saying. While he was still speaking, a cloud came and cast a shadow over them, and they became frightened when they entered the cloud. Then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my chosen Son; listen to him.” After the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. They fell silent and did not at that time tell anyone what they had seen.
This is a good place to post what I believe the book of James is saying in a single statement. Let me know what you think. 'Faith without works is dead and will not save you'.
The question might be asked: are protestants and evangelicals saved if they believe once saved ever saved. One needs to repent and be baptized and live a new life
OSAS is not biblical. St Paul Phil 2:12 works out his salvation with fear & trembling, via grace from the sacraments especially the Real Presence in the Eucharist Jn 6 51, Faith & good works James 2 20-24 & Mt 25 31-46
Think you can explain the significance of the Red heifer/cow in Christianity/Catholicism and how it connects to Revelation or at least a series breaking down the riddles/meanings of Revelation?
It is impossible to have a "personal relationship" with INK on PAPER (solascriptura) In order tio have a personal relationship with Jesus you need the actual living person of Jesus, who has been manifesting his LIVING PRESENCE for 2000 years in the church that he established by means of both heavenly visitations to the saints of his church as well as Eucharistic miracles, where the bread and wine visably change to his flesh and blood, backing up the words that he spoke at the last supper as he held the bread up to heaven: ...."This is my body which will be given up for you" ...and again as he held up the chalice: "This is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant" etc Ink on a [age is not personal and ink is not the same substance as his blood. All protestants have is a stolen book and ink on paper
God is omnipresent, and if you are saved then you have his spirit dwelling inside of you. John was in total isolation on the island of Patmos when he was shown Revelation. Gathering with other believers is a good thing, but it's not a requirement for salvation. John 14:18-20 KJV 18 I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. 19 Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. 20 At that day ye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you.

Holy Scripture teaches we must cooperate with God's saving grace and repent and bear fruit and forgive others and love one another and persevere to the end to be saved, for even if one has ALL FAITH, but does not LOVE, IT IS USELESS! Why listen to fallible Protestant Pastors, when we have the infallible Holy Scriptures? Are Protestants saved,? Saint Luke 18:13 And the publican, standing afar off, would not so much as lift up his eyes towards heaven; but struck his breast, saying: O God, be merciful to me a sinner.
Only god knows on our last breath if we are saved. It is true we are saved through baptism are being saved ie phillipians 2:12 but on the last breath god has decided, and there is your answer, it comes from him after we die he will judge us as saved or not. If saved we go to heaven with/ or without purification. The question is meant to get us thinking I guess which is a good thing, unless abused eg some asking will, almost condemn Catholics just for being catholic…. That’s nuts!
Always ask God to keep you, strive to live as Jesus did morally and righteous and only God and Jesus can save you therefore their MERCY is the only salvation.
Where in the Bible did Jesus give us the Rosary and made Mary the queen of heaven? How about Purgatory, where was Jesus clear on this teaching and why the apostles never mentioned it?
Not everything is in the bible Jn 21:25 & in any event, it wasn’t mass printed until the 15th century & even then, very few people could read proving that sola Scriptura is unworkable 2 Peter 1 20-21 Everything that the CC teaches is biblical Purgatory The concept of Purgatory does exist in Scripture which is very clear when it says, “But nothing unclean shall enter [heaven]” (Rev. 21:27). Hab. 1:13 says, “You [God]… are of purer eyes than to behold evil and cannot look on wrong…” How many of us will be perfectly sanctified at the time of our deaths? I dare say most of us will be in need of further purification in order to enter the gates of heaven after we die, if, please God, we die in a state of grace. Purgatory can be supported by II Maccabees 12:39-46, we discover Judas Maccabeus and members of his Jewish military forces collecting the bodies of some fallen comrades who had been killed in battle. When they discovered these men were carrying “sacred tokens of the idols of Jamnia, which the law forbids the Jews to wear” (vs. 40), Judas and his companions discerned they had died as a punishment for sin. Therefore, Judas and his men “turned to prayer beseeching that the sin which had been committed might be wholly blotted out… He also took up a collection… and sent it to Jerusalem to provide for a sin offering. In doing this he acted very well and honorably… Therefore he made atonement for the dead, that they might be delivered from their sin.” This may be why Luther removed Macabees from his bible & was tempted to do the same with the book of James Luke 12 35-48 servants rewarded/punished in varying ways O For some Protestants to say that all sin is sin and to not differentiate between mortal sin like adultery and venial sin like stealing a dollar is illogical & a poor understanding Confession is in the bible Jn 20:23
So does this mean baptized protestants who commit mortal sins are going to hell since they don't confess their sins to a priest? Or does confessing their sins to God and confessing their faith like in the apostle's creed save them from mortal sins after baptism?
@@imisschristendom5293 To expand a bit, although this is univocally correct ultimately, we also understand that protestants do not delineate sin in the way we do, ie., mortal/venial because of their understand of sola fide/sola scriptura. That being said, if their faith and reason gets them to a point of understanding (that perfect contrition would denote, and what true Catholics understand), then purgatory will ensure their salvation...since they have died with the purest of intention without the fullness of the truth. Basically, they will become Catholic through their suffering in Purgatory, at which point (if they make it there), they are already saved. Excellent topic, video and explanations as always, thank you I Miss Christendom!!
Friend, I urge you to turn to Gospel of Jesus Christ for your salvation, and not the works of the flesh. Acts 16:29-31 KJV 29 Then he called for a light, and sprang in, and came trembling, and fell down before Paul and Silas, 30 And brought them out, and said, Sirs, what must I do to be saved? 31 And they said, Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved, and thy house.
2 men went to the temple to pray. One of them knew he was a sinner and wept, and he spent his time repenting of HIS OWN SINS. But the other dude spent his time judging and condemning others while he patted himself on the back for being a "righteous" man. The bible tells us that only one of these men left justified. Care to guess which one?
Great video! Why do protesting Protestants not get it, it is so simple! They must be very disobedient & stubborn to defy Jesus Jn 3:5 & regard baptism as optional or symbolic!
I often wonder how can an adulterous, alcoholic, lying Evangelical Christian thinks he/she will go to Heaven, if they die unrepentant? Jesus explains why they will not, in Matthew 15:18-20, Revelation 21:8 and 22:15. The apostle Paul gives us the rest of the reasons in Ephesians 5:3-7, Colossians 3:5-6, Galatians 5:19-21, and I Corinthians 6:9-11.
well you see Clive.... that's the issue with osas doctrine. That would mean that even the btk killer goes to heaven because he did an "altar call" as a kid
If they didn’t believe in Christ then they weren’t saved. No matter how big the sin is, sin is still sin and we all deserve to be punished whether or not we do good works. Our works are filthy rags and trusting in that is not going to save us. Christ paid for all sins on the cross so anyone who believes in him will have everlasting life (John 3:16) Romans 6:23 says that salvation is a gift from God; we don’t work for gifts.
@@kraftyval2162 I also think that one issue is that people also quote Ephesians 2;8-9 and then stop. There's also a verse 10 which has to do with the same subject. Many folks confuse Salvation, which is by faith and can't be earned by us, with a related concept called Sanctification. When a believer grows in faith and knowledge there is an increase in Sanctifying grace which is reflected in how a Christian believer lives from day to day
Even the worst sinner can repent and be forgiven But once saved always saved means that a person cannot abuse Gods mercy to such an extent that God owes him forgiveness

@@IAMMRPATRICKBORNAGAIN 110% RIGHT! Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin. 21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets; 22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference: 23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God; 24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus: 25 Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God; 26 To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus. 27 Where is boasting then? Let’s be honest. If you do not know that you are saved it is because you are not. I am not trying to be cruel or mean, but simply honest. It would be the worst kind of negligence if I encouraged you to believe you were saved if actually you were not. Unsaved people roam the earth thinking they are right with God, but are not. This reality may be driving your honest question about how to know if you are saved. This question is the greatest question one could ask, because the answer is understanding the gospel that saves. Many people remain unconvinced about their own salvation because of a fear they have left something undone, did not say something right, are not worthy enough, or have not done the right thing to be accepted by God. Perhaps this is you! You want to do right, and want to be saved, but do not know for certain how to know. What you need to know is the gospel of Christ. Do You Know the Gospel? At this point you may object because you claim to already know the gospel. But your question betrays you. The gospel that saves provides the knowledge of salvation. If you do not know you are saved, then you do not know the gospel that saves. If you claim to know the gospel and still do not know if you are saved you have been told the wrong gospel. Perhaps you have been told salvation comes by… - Believing Jesus is the Son of God. - Loving the Lord. - Following Jesus. - Accepting Jesus. - Being born again. - Keeping the commandments. - Loving your neighbor. - Praying the sinner’s prayer. - Repentance and confessing your sins. - Confessing the Lord with your mouth. - Asking Jesus to come into your heart. - Making him Lord of your life. - Maintaining a personal relationship with Jesus. - Naming the name of Christ. - Being filled with the Holy Spirit; or feeling his presence? If so, you were told wrong. Your doubts testify to the inadequacy of any of these “gospels” to bring the knowledge of salvation. Have you loved the Lord enough? Don’t the devils also believe Jesus is the Son of God (Jam 2:19)? How do you know Jesus accepted your invitation into your heart? Is salvation really by uttering a name? Though what you heard may have had an element of Biblical truth in it, you are still left wondering how you know you are saved even after knowing or believing these “gospels”. This is because they do not describe the gospel that saves. Proof of Salvation The Bible gives proof to every saved person to know they are saved: the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation (Rom 1:16). If we test your proof of salvation against the gospel of Christ, we can know if you are saved or not. (I do not pretend to be the judge of your soul, but using God’s word to evaluate your salvation is prudent.) So, what is the proof of your salvation? If you say you have none, or that no one can know for certain, then you do not have salvation. If you say proof is in the good way you live your life, then you have not heard the truth. If you say proof is found in the promises of God to Israel, then you are taking what is not yours. God made promises to the nation of Israel, but there were many people in Israel who died in their sins at God’s hand of judgment and not salvation. How do you know you are part of the promises? If you say proof is in what you have done or not done, said or not said, then you are not saved. Without proof on what basis can you know that you are saved? There is none! Do you see now that you are not saved at all, and rather than needing to be convinced by Scripture that you are, you need to have the power of God unto salvation open your eyes to the truth of the gospel? What is the Gospel that Saves Now the question is seen in a new light. It is no longer the question of a saved person lacking confidence. It is the cry of an unsaved person lacking proof of salvation. Sinners cannot save themselves or make themselves worthy enough for God to save them. Salvation is not for the righteous or the good, but for the unrighteous and the ungodly. The truth is that there is none righteous, and all have fallen short of God’s glorious standard. Salvation of sinners is accomplished through the cross of the Lord Jesus Christ. God manifest in the flesh died innocently in the place of sinners shedding his blood as a sacrifice for sins. He rose from the dead three days later defeating the power of death and offering his finished work as the means of salvation to all men. Salvation is not proven by our own efforts, but in the righteousness of God in Christ when he died for our sins, rose from the dead, and offers salvation freely to sinners who need it. Proof of salvation is found in the gospel of Christ. God was in Christ reconciling the world to himself by the cross. “To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” - Romans 3:25 We will be saved “if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” - Romans 4:24-25 This is the gospel of Christ; it is the preaching of the cross. Christ is God, and he did everything necessary to save men through his death and resurrection. His work is the proof of salvation. If his work is the proof of your salvation, then you have peace with God and eternal life. You are no longer trying to provide proof. God has provided it by his grace in Christ. “Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” - Romans 5:1 “…the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” - Romans 6:23 How Do I Know? I know that I am saved because Christ died for my sins, rose from the dead, and offers salvation freely to all who believe in him. I’ve seen him save other people who believe the gospel of Christ. He will save you, when you believe it (Eph 1:13; Rom 3:22). Stop trusting your life, your prayers, your works, your good deeds, your feelings, trust the finished work of Christ and know that you are saved.
According to the catholic church, through the guidance of the holy spirit, this is called the sin of presumption and its actually a sign that you probably wont be saved. After all why work on virtue if your already saved. You commited a sin? No biggie, your saved. Yeah, there but by the grace of God go I
@@imisschristendom5293 Base your faith on the finished work of Christ on the cross, not by your own goodness. We work to be good because we are already saved and want to show our love to God for his sacrifice. It isn’t a license to sin.
@@For3nity I know I am saved because I have accepted Jesus’ finished work on the cross. He suffered, died and rose again to save us all. Yes, you need grace received through the sacraments that Jesus instituted especially the Real Presence in the Eucharist Jn 6 51, Faith & good works James 2 20-24 & Mt 25 31-46 that Protestants find challenging s it also contradicts faith alone which is heretical
I don't believe in confessing my sins to a man, and I don't believe you can go to heaven without salvation and baptism. But baptism only makes sense when you get baptized as an adult who understands what it means to be baptized. someone show me where in scripture it explains a baby being baptized means salvation. God gave us free will and salvation is supposed to be a free will too. my understanding though! I was brought up in Catholic but I never regret living and I have my many good reasons.
Confession is in the bible Jn 20 23 The bible does not exclude infant baptism & in fact Peter in Acts 2 39 includes children. What is the downside to baptising babies which according to Jesus Jn 3:5 is necessary for salvation. Research the early church practice of infant baptism. 2 minutes in and this guy is already wrong. Read the word of God! you cannot stay in a “state of grace” to be saved like some people are saying in the comments. Christ paid the price for your sins one and for all. your traditions do not hold up to the word of God.
The word likens our relationship to God as a loving Father and child through our Saviour Jesus Christ. Does your child have to verbally announce they are your child every day, otherwise they cease to be? I know some believers dont hold fast to their faith, but you're going way too far the other way by saying only Catholics are saved. I do not go to a Catholic Church but I know I am saved and hear from the Holy Spirit, I read the Word and I do my best to be fruitful. You're saying that Jesus saving me is a lie?
KNOW THIS HARD DOGMA (There Is No Salvation Outside Of The Traditional Catholic Church.) There is Only One God There is Only One Truth There is Only One Church And The Gates Of Hell Will Not Prevail Against It.
The thief on the cross was not baptised but he WAS born again n saved. Try n figure this out. So baptism alone will not save. Try to digest this first before u conclude tht baptism saves. The bible says no unclean thing can enter heaven. Now let's analyse the lives of baptised catholics to ascertain if they can inherit heaven. Just look around at your catholic friends n relatives incl your priests. All of them will be guilty of at least 1 of these sins. First all catholics don't read n obey the bible. Next, fornication adultery porn lying dishonesty bribes anger grudges lewdness revelry drunkenness smoking etc. N of course pedophilia and sodomy among the Catholic priests. Do u honestly think such baptised catholics can enter heaven. Certainly not. Yes u are right; just saying the sinners prayer will not save u. Do u know what else will. Seek the Holy Spirit
@@imisschristendom5293 how is it tht u ignored those baptised but still in sin. N pls find me 1 catholic who can tell u tht he is living right even according to the catechism. It's just a state tht without God, whatever this means. So it's a licence to sin. This is catholicism. Btw can u also show proof tht mary was conceived sinless. Opps. Not 1 man on earth can prove this, n surely not the vatican. N it would appear foolish to the apostles to believe in the Immaculate Conception n assumption of Mary or to teach such lies n trash

It's strange tht Catholics just cannot see this. Go research n come back
Are Catholics Saved? Not exactly Sure since are saved through faith in Jesus Only (Romans 1:16) but I do know according to the scriptures NO Good Works, Saints, Mary or Tradition gets you eternal life nor entrance in Heaven.

CC teaches biblically that salvation comes via grace received in the sacraments, especially the Real Presence in the Eucharist, Faith & good works James 2 20-24 & Mt 25 31-46 both of which destroy faith alone which is unbiblical
Thank you Jesus of Nazareth for the Protestant Reformation as the Catholic Pope declared Priest can bless same Sex unions and Marriage an actual contradiction to the word of God and to Jehovah himself and to the teachings of the Lord Jesus Christ
Don’t be conceited, popes as humans make mistakes, but His One True church that has existed, in spite of sinful men, for 2000 yrs, proof of its divine origin
There is enough Gospel in Catholic church to have saved Christians. Yet, rituals and works salvations, praying to the Saints etc. might allow too many to be false Christians. You can't earn salvation. You have to receive it. Jailer asked Paul, what must I do to be saved. He said, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Christ died once, He didn't die over and over, Mass bread is just bread. The blood was what paid the redemption work. Baptism is just water.
The consecrated Host is not bread; it is truly the flesh of Christ. This has been proved scientifically by analysis of hosts that visibly bleed and turn into human flesh. Laboratories around the world, who knew nothing about the miracles, have confirmed that these hosts are human heart tissue. If you don't have enough faith to believe Our Lord when He says: "this is my body", believe what science tells us.
No. No. Salvation is not a 1 time thing. Christians don't believe this though some uninformed christians do. U cannot enter heaven in sin. Period. So future sins will prevent entering heaven unless repented of
Do you ask others to pray for you? Catholics don’t pray or worship Mary, they ask her to intercede. Just like if we asked our family to pray for us. Except Mary and the Saints are closer to God than us.
The answers are in, sola scriptura, catholics dont beleive in that, "the bible" #1 - John 3:3-7. #2- Acts 4:12 again catholics beleive in salvation through the catholic church, #3 - praying to idols, the dead, and to Mary, #4 confessing to a man not Christ, just a few of of the heresies of the catholic church. They just skirt by revelation 22:18-19 like they do about the 2nd commandment!
You are the one disobeying revelation 22:18-19 because you add the word "alone" to everything (Bible *alone* faith *alone*). But you ignore 2 thessolonians 2:15
@@louisvega-oe2sc yep and I've read Hebrews 11 also and that proves catholic doctrine about the saints. Also add Revelation chapter 5 where it talks about angels, elders and LIVING creatures. There's no such thing as "dead saints" buddy. They are very much ALIVE
@resetsetmefree478 is the entire bible written by man? Did these men write according to their edicts? Where were these men, before they were chosen of God? Did I choose God or any other man, first? Was not God the creator, and and not man? Was Jesus not the one who established the foundations before the creation? Where were you or I or the church before god? If you you're going to boast about catholicism, which is like the two forked serpent, having two different masters: who created it, and where is its glory? Did you not understand, that it is not by might, or by power, but by the Spirit of the living God that there is a church, which happens to be born of the Spirit of God, and not by catholicism?
The Roman Catholic "gospel" is a false gospel because it does NOT look to the righteousness of Jesus Christ ALONE as the ONLY GROUND upon which a sinner can stand before God the Father and NOT be condemned to hell. Rome REJECTS both the doctrine of justification by faith ALONE as well as the doctrine of the imputed righteousness of Christ as the ONLY righteousness a believing sinner needs in order to be right with God. I was born and raised a Roman Catholic and when God opened my eyes to the biblical gospel of salvation by grace through faith in the 100% finished work of Christ I never looked back! It's ALL OF GRACE, FROM BEGINNING TO END! Sovereign Grace!
@christsavesreadromans1096 did you even bother to look at the context of the scripture you quoted? If you did, you would see that it does not say anything like that at all.
Sola Scriptura rebutted 2 Peter 1 20-21 the bible can’t interpret itself Sola fide rebutted James 2 20-24 Protestantism heretical Rom 16 17-18 Thus if one uses the language of the Bible, one would say that “a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law . . . not by faith alone . . . for faith apart from works is dead . . . but faith working through love” (Rom. 3:28, Jas. 2:24, 26, Gal. 5:6). When Protestants claim the unbiblical Faith alone mantra, they typically ignore Mt 25 31-45 with its emphasis on good works! Usual selective biblical cherry picking! No organisation, such as Protestantism can survive without hierarchy & a unifying authoritative interpreter, the fruits being confusion, division & scandal of 000’s of sects, resulting from personal interpretation, which is not of Jesus who willed unity Jn 17 11-21 No Protestant has ever been able to explain why personal interpretation, if guided by the Holy Spirit has resulted in 000’s sects proving that either the Holy Spirit is wrong or more likely, Protestantism! There are none so blind as those with a darkened intellect which the Holy Spirit obviously isn’t enlightening! Have you ever considered the damage caused to society by relativism, caused by there being many “truths” which have resulted in contraception, which until 1930, all denominations prohibited until the Anglican broke away in 1930, abortion, IVF, divorce, SSM, LGBGT, transgenderism etc. Protestantism has a lot to answer for! But
Salvation is a work in progress according to St Paul Phil 2:12. Grace from the sacraments, Faith & good works Mt 25 31-46 that Protestants wish that Luther had deleted because it undermines OSAS!
There are two ways to Heaven. 1) Perfect without sin. (Romans 3:23 says that is impossible for all have fallen short). 2) Forgiven (Ephesians 2:8-9 by Grace not by good works lest any man may boast). Roman Catholics believe in good works, hence a punishment after confession. But Jesus paid the price for all time. That is why He said "It is finished". If we have to earn salvation it would not be Grace and a free gift of God. I struggle with the Roman Catholic faith. They pray to Mary and the Saints. Jesus taught us to pray to Our Father in Heaven. It is not so much there is a statue of Mary, but that devout followers bow to it and/or kiss the feet that concern me. It looks like idol worship. The RC bible containing 73 books (the Protestant bible contains only 66 books) also deletes the second commandment given to Moses in Exodus 20. We are instructed not to make a graven image and bow to it. Revelation 22:19 warns about deleting scripture in case our name is erased from the Book of life. Roman Catholics believe in purgatory which is not biblical either. So how many prayers must I do to change God's mind and get someone in Help to
1. Catholics don't believe in having to do good works as a punishment after confession. Catholics also don't believe in earning salvation. We believe that when someone confesses and is forgiven of his or her sins, he or she is completely absolved. However, we are urged to do penance for the sake of our souls - it's not mandatory. 2. We "pray" to Mary and the saints in the same way you would "pray" to a fellow believer in Christ to ask him or her to pray for you. The word "pray" in this context derives from the Old English "prithee," which means "to make a formal request." Jesus did not teach we can't ask other Christians to pray for us. 3. I think your concerns about bowing or kissing the feet of statues certainly make sense! It's not a common thing among most Catholics, but even still, it's done as a matter of respect, not worship. Worship requires a disposition of the heart and an understanding of the mind; it's why martial artists aren't worshiping each other when they bow to one another or why men don't worship women when they get on one knee and propose. 4. Catholics do not "delete" any of the Ten Commandments. This is an unfortunate lie spread by many popular Protestants, but you can check a Catholic Bible yourself to see that they're all in there. When Protestantism began in the 16th Century, they began to number the commandments differently via new translations, and the Protestant numbering is problematic for a number of reasons I won't get into here. One of the problems is precisely the understanding of graven images. The Protestant numbering implies that making images of any kind, not just statues, is a sin, and that bowing is a separate sin, where the earlier number groups them in a way that maintains the original understanding that making images is not a sin and bowing is not a sin, but idolatry is a sin. 5. The 73-book canon includes seven books that would've been used in Jesus's day, and were accepted by all Christians, including non-Catholics, for a long time. Luther seemed to question the Deuterocanon, but he also questioned the books of James and Revelation, and seemed to have a 65-book canon. The 66 book canon only became popular when the British and Foreign Bible Society cut out the Deuterocanon to save printing costs, as Luther had moved the books to the back. So if anyone "deleted" scripture, it would be Protestants in removing seven (plus) books from the Bible. To be fair, that passage in Revelation refers to Revelation, not a finished Bible. 6. Purgatory is biblical. As the Protestant C.S. Lewis notes, we are sinners in this life. The Bible says no sin can enter happen. So that thing that happens between the two to change us can be called purgatory.
Respect or worship is a fine point. But the Catholic bible (with 73 books) deletes the second commandment given to Moses in Exodus 20. This prohibits graven images and bowing to them. Why delete ? Revelation 22:19 makes it clear what is at risk removing words from scripture.
@@edukaeshn You are putting a limitation on God with your statement. The word of God was going to be preserved onto this generation, regardless. It does. So, if it wasn't the Catholic/Orthodox church, guided by the Holy Spirit, that compiled the 27 books of the NT in the 5th century, just 75 years AFTER the council of Nicaea which began the Trinitarian doctrine, and then with the guidance of the Holy Spirit, and preserved these scriptures by laboriously hand copying them over and over throughout the centuries before the invention of the printing press, the “rule of faith” for many, please tell us, show us, who did? John 19:30 KJV
30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.
Now there is work to be done, but it has nothing to do with our salvation. God wants us to work the great commission, of spreading the Gospel, and wants us to be his disciples and follow after him.
Here is the Gospel
John 3:16-18 KJV

There is nothing in the Bible about a "believer's baptism."
"Accept Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior," or "Ask Jesus into your heart" isn't the biblical answer.
(For the teaching on venial (non-deadly) and mortal (deadly) sins, see 1 John 5:16-17)
What I must do to be saved:
*I must be baptized with water and the Spirit. Mark 16:16, John 3:3-5, Titus 3:5, I Peter 3:20-21. #432 The name "Jesus" signifies that the very name of God is present in the person of his Son, made man for the universal and definitive redemption from sins. It is the divine name that alone brings salvation, and henceforth all can invoke his name, for Jesus united himself to all men through his Incarnation, so that "there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved."😘😘
Amazing!
Fubdamentalist protestants / evangelicals should spend more time examining their own lives and less time scrutinizing other people.

ill make this brief: we ARE saved, in the PROCESS of being saved AND HOPE to be saved.
I am saved, I am being saved, and I hope to be saved.
Salvation is ontological not just a moral change. We are saved when we are baptized, being saved now, and we hope to be saved in the future. God bless
Jesus I love you. All I have is yours. Yours I am yours I want to be. Do with me whatever you will.
I thought this was another well done video. Particularly the criticism of the Protestant view of salvation. My favorite Roman Catholic channel by far.
The catholic church made the bible I suppose the bible is catholic tradition too
This is sooooooooooooooooooo helpful! It is clear and you teach very well
This is brilliant, and I will use it in the future:
*Christ gave us a Church.

How do you immerse those who are bedridden & the question occurs to me about how St Peter baptised 3000 in Jerusalem where there are no rivers or lakes Acts 2:41. However the topic that really annoys is why do some Protestants think that baptism is optional or symbolic when Jesus says be baptised for salvation Jn 3:5

14 If any man's work abide which he hath built thereupon, he shall receive a reward.
15 If any man's work shall be burned, he shall suffer loss: but he himself shall be saved; yet so as by fire.
This passage is talking about the result of works, and how we are judged when we are called up to God. They will be tried by fire before God. Anything that stands (good works) will bring rewards. Anything that burns up (bad, or no works) will result in the eternal loss of rewards, but it will not result in a loss of salvation. Matthew 5:25-26
1 Corinthians 3:11-15
Purgatory is a place where the souls of people who die in a state of friendship with God (they are saved) yet are still imperfectly purified go in order to be fully prepared for Heaven.

Truly I say to you, there are some standing here who will not taste death until they see the kingdom of God.”
About eight days after he said this, he took Peter, John, and James and went up the mountain to pray.
While he was praying his face changed in appearance and his clothing became dazzling white.
And behold, two men were conversing with him, Moses and Elijah,
who appeared in glory and spoke of his exodus that he was going to accomplish in Jerusalem.
Then from the cloud came a voice that said, “This is my chosen Son; listen to him.”
After the voice had spoken, Jesus was found alone. They fell silent and did not at that time tell anyone what they had seen.
This is a good place to post what I believe the book of James is saying in a single statement. Let me know what you think.
'Faith without works is dead and will not save you'.

It is impossible to have a "personal relationship" with INK on PAPER (solascriptura)
In order tio have a personal relationship with Jesus you need the actual living person of Jesus, who has been manifesting his LIVING PRESENCE for 2000 years in the church that he established by means of both heavenly visitations to the saints of his church as well as Eucharistic miracles, where the bread and wine visably change to his flesh and blood, backing up the words that he spoke at the last supper as he held the bread up to heaven: ...."This is my body which will be given up for you" ...and again as he held up the chalice: "This is the cup of my blood, the blood of the new and everlasting covenant" etc
Ink on a [age is not personal and ink is not the same substance as his blood.

Not everything is in the bible Jn 21:25 & in any event, it wasn’t mass printed until the 15th century & even then, very few people could read proving that sola Scriptura is unworkable 2 Peter 1 20-21 Everything that the CC teaches is biblical
Purgatory
The concept of Purgatory does exist in Scripture which is very clear when it says, “But nothing unclean shall enter [heaven]” (Rev. 21:27). In doing this he acted very well and honorably… Therefore he made atonement for the dead, that they might be delivered from their sin.” This may be why Luther removed Macabees from his bible & was tempted to do the same with the book of James
Luke 12 35-48 servants rewarded/punished in varying ways
O For some Protestants to say that all sin is sin and to not differentiate between mortal sin like adultery and venial sin like stealing a dollar is illogical & a poor understanding
Confession is in the bible Jn 20:23
So does this mean baptized protestants who commit mortal sins are going to hell since they don't confess their sins to a priest? Or does confessing their sins to God and confessing their faith like in the apostle's creed save them from mortal sins after baptism?
They would have to havebperfect contrition

@@IAMMRPATRICKBORNAGAIN 110% RIGHT! Therefore by the deeds of the law there shall no flesh be justified in his sight: for by the law is the knowledge of sin.
21 But now the righteousness of God without the law is manifested, being witnessed by the law and the prophets;
22 Even the righteousness of God which is by faith of Jesus Christ unto all and upon all them that believe: for there is no difference:
23 For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
24 Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:

Pride
Perhaps you have been told salvation comes by…
- Believing Jesus is the Son of God.
Proof of Salvation
The Bible gives proof to every saved person to know they are saved: the gospel of Christ is the power of God unto salvation (Rom 1:16).
If we test your proof of salvation against the gospel of Christ, we can know if you are saved or not. (I do not pretend to be the judge of your soul, but using God’s word to evaluate your salvation is prudent.)
So, what is the proof of your salvation?
What is the Gospel that Saves
Now the question is seen in a new light.
“To declare, I say, at this time his righteousness: that he might be just, and the justifier of him which believeth in Jesus.” - Romans 3:25
We will be saved “if we believe on him that raised up Jesus our Lord from the dead; Who was delivered for our offences, and was raised again for our justification.” - Romans 4:24-25
This is the gospel of Christ; it is the preaching of the cross. Christ is God, and he did everything necessary to save men through his death and resurrection. His work is the proof of salvation.
If his work is the proof of your salvation, then you have peace with God and eternal life. You are no longer trying to provide proof. God has provided it by his grace in Christ.
“Therefore being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ:” - Romans 5:1
“…the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” - Romans 6:23
How Do I Know?

God Saves
God ALONE
Not Evangelical Christians
There is enough Gospel in Catholic church to have saved Christians. Yet, rituals and works salvations, praying to the Saints etc. might allow too many to be false Christians. You can't earn salvation. You have to receive it. Jailer asked Paul, what must I do to be saved. He said, Believe in the Lord Jesus Christ and you shall be saved. Christ died once, He didn't die over and over, Mass bread is just bread. The blood was what paid the redemption work. Baptism is just water.
Mass bread is just bread until it is consecrated. Baptism is water and Spirit.
Clean up the spelling! Altar vs Alter, e.g. Great video though!
I know, I know
No. No. Salvation is not a 1 time thing. Christians don't believe this though some uninformed christians do. U cannot enter heaven in sin. Period. So future sins will prevent entering heaven unless repented of
I thought Christ paid for all our sins. Why did he die then if salvation depends on us turning from our sins?
I guess one of the biggest dangers is to put Mary or Saints above the Lord Jesus. He is the only way to the Father.
Actually, our blessed Mother Mary and the saints lift us to God and enforce our bond and devotion to God.
Catholics do not put Mary and the saints above Jesus Christ. Jesus Christ is far superior to Mary and the saints.
@@elleanna5869 Could you please provide the scripture for that? Thank you.
@@elleanna5869provide some scriptures then.
Do you ask others to pray for you? Catholics don’t pray or worship Mary, they ask her to intercede. Just like if we asked our family to pray for us. Except Mary and the Saints are closer to God than us.
This question is a no brainer no there not read your Bible then look at their actions have you listen to your pope? Guess not
The answers are in, sola scriptura, catholics dont beleive in that, "the bible" #1 - John 3:3-7.
Are you a Moslem You reject images and won't bow down to them but then bow down to Mecca
You are the one disobeying revelation 22:18-19 because you add the word "alone" to everything (Bible *alone* faith *alone*). But you ignore 2 thessolonians 2:15
@@resetsetmefree478 did you read the next verse? How about, Hebrews 11? There's plenty more where that came from, in the Word of God!
Jesus spoke on Salvation, Justification, and righteousness.........see Luke 18: 4, 19: 9 & Matt. 3: 15.
How could you turn your back on Jesus in the Eucharist and believe you are saved?
I prefer to listen to Jesus's Words on the subject. @christsavesreadromans1096
@christsavesreadromans1096 did you even bother to look at the context of the scripture you quoted? If you did, you would see that it does not say anything like that at all.
Sola Scriptura rebutted 2 Peter 1 20-21 the bible can’t interpret itself
Sola fide rebutted James 2 20-24
Protestantism heretical Rom 16 17-18
Thus if one uses the language of the Bible, one would say that “a man is justified by faith apart from works of the Law . . . not by faith alone . . . for faith apart from works is dead . . . but faith working through love” (Rom. 3:28, Jas. 2:24, 26, Gal. 5:6). When Protestants claim the unbiblical Faith alone mantra, they typically ignore Mt 25 31-45 with its emphasis on good works! Usual selective biblical cherry picking!
No organisation, such as Protestantism can survive without hierarchy & a unifying authoritative interpreter, the fruits being confusion, division & scandal of 000’s of sects, resulting from personal interpretation, which is not of Jesus who willed unity Jn 17 11-21
No Protestant has ever been able to explain why personal interpretation, if guided by the Holy Spirit has resulted in 000’s sects proving that either the Holy Spirit is wrong or more likely, Protestantism!
But
Is anyone saved? You can say that you are. But I can say I’m president of my own country. So many atrocities have been committed because of religion
So many atrocities have been committed because of a rejection of the One True Catholic and Apostolic Church.
So how many prayers must I do to change God's mind and get someone in Help to
.....Hell to Heaven ? The bible says after death comes judgement. So after death is too late.
Penance is still something followers do. It is not Grace if it has to be earned. Paul does cover that in his letters.
Jesus taught us how to pray. Disagree violently that He did not exclude. Have you not read the Lord your God is a jealous God.
Respect or worship is a fine point. But the Catholic bible (with 73 books) deletes the second commandment given to Moses in Exodus 20. This prohibits graven images and bowing to them. Why delete ? Revelation 22:19 makes it clear what is at risk removing words from scripture.

Purgatory does not exist
It does. And the same source that tell us it does told you which books belong in your Bible…
History shows us that Jesus didn't leave us a bible, the apostles didn't tell us which books belong in the bible, the church fathers never agreed on the 27 books of the NT through the 4th century, not only did they not agree but their list of would-be NT canons were GROWING during this time.
