Don’t hate it. It’s nice. But that SD card thing needs to be addressed. I think they can. The pull tab sticker helps.
Great informative review. Crystal clear video quality with accurate colors from the Walksnail. And they're claiming an average latency of 22ms. Not too shabby! Finally we have an excellent affordable alternative.

Are you planning to post any maximum range testing? Because I don't see any max range estimates on Caddx's product page or the specifications for this combination of Goggles L with the GT 2watt VTX.

@@akenedy goggles L and a 1200mw vtx has been to 20km. I've been to 11km with the GL and a 1s vtx.
I think I will go this route if I jump in digital, but good analog is fine for now! Thx DC

Hi Justin, Great video and review of the walksnail system. I finally purchased the walksnail module and camera/vtx so I can use my skyzone 03O, but if I didn't already have googles, I would like to get the walksnail googles. Thanks for the video and info on these system.

Great coverage of this system Justin, I was going to get the L’s but figured I’d be better served with the X for adjustable diopters. I’m in the process of switching from DJI to Walksnail. Just flew my GT using the Goggles X for the first time last weekend and I was really impressed with what I was seeing in the goggles. I agree it’s really good. I’m thinking of swapping out the camera for the Moonlight version to get better quality video, built in EIS option and closer to O3 quality.
Get the 4K caddx I watch a video comparison and it’s just as good djis o3
@@YOKokob I have one I’m installing in a 7” build. If it’s as good as you and others say and have shown, I’ll buy the camera to use with the GT as well.

If you have chance for elrs protocol.. meteor85 analog or meteor75 analog with radiomaster pocket master as a combo with cheap google could be better.. the radiomaster pocket controller is a beast and you can also use it for simulator comfortably.. if you got that combo try that on simulator first.. get at least more than 10 hours of flying

I fly fixed wing. What would you recommend? My analog would be hard to use during my EC 1500 hula hoop target drop competition. I'd like to see an affordable head tracking like horizon hobby had back in the teens.

I use Walksnail Avatar HD Pro cam/vtx with Walksnail Goggles X on a 2.1 meter glider, and the video quality at 1080p/60fps is excellent with it set to only 500mw xmit power, while flying generally up to 600 meters from the goggles. That particular combo doesn't go up to 4K resolution, but that's fine because I hate jockeying around 4K video files and I hate people viewing my vids on 15 yr old desktops and 10 yr old TV's and asking me why my video glitches so much! Anyway.... yeah... fixed wing.... Walksnail stuff rocks!

I forgot to add. The GT does not come with the spring load/release at all, not sure why but it’s a weird design. Mine came with some little clear stickers to put on SD cards so you have something to grab for pulling out the SD card.
I wonder why they went this route? Especially knowing the units would be in all kinds of inverted, upside down, fast flying.
@@Thunderbyrd. it’s a weird choice for sure but for me I wouldn’t put one of these in something to freestyle fly. I put mine in a wing for long range flights and planning on a 2nd one for a long range quad.
I put a zip tie around mine for keeping it in. But it’s hard as hell to get out.

@@dronecampsyeah you have to install one of those clear pull tab stickers that came in the kit on your card.
tbh i hope openipc is picking up some momentum now that runcam has hardware for it. not good enough yet, but at least open.. the elrs of digital video?

@@dronecamps I started flying analog two months ago. I think analog is fine. Been at many multiGP races. I want HDZero at some point, and would love an open source DJI-like video link. :)
@@smika710 I started 3 months ago with analog. Once I got more confident I put a 4K action cam to capture flight footage. I'm interested in Walksnail because it would be lighter than analog+action cam combo.
@@kmieciu4ever I do not want to pay more than an analog vtx for laggy video feeds. I have a DJI Action 2, it was less than 100$ so I flew it day one with my 5in quads, but who cares. Action camera footage is so boring to me. I don't care to see someone else's local park, field, or school like that. I only care about the dvr of other pilots, what they saw/flew through. Upscale,De-noise,Sharpen,& stab your dvr footage, and it looks damn good.
Question it is possible to use this goggles with dji Air 3?
No they won’t work with Dji

What's the range?
Avatar gt has been tested to 50+km but I doubt those particular goggles would work that far due to the antenna situation and not being able to change them.
@@jamesstewart9970 I've seen a video from a guy from Greece that flew 21 km with Googles L. The patch antennas are really good!

No, there was a time where they were trying to, but it got scrapped. US empire really hates a chinese company making the best drone and equipment.
