@@confusedjay717thinking about it… honestly it seems doable for the head to live. The head has technology beyond a grand servant if we really think about it. The power class is a little unfair, I mean just on top my head he could utilize time itself, infinite energy, clones, the multiverse (mirrors), etc. The City is inherently unfair considering its in a time of post technological singularity and somehow society didnt implode on itself. I wouldnt be surprised if The Head just rejected petty things like “dying”.
The city has all this shit and is still weaker than some of other fiction power wise because PM knows how to not make a character or an association stupidly overpowered

@Diavolo Jaegar No, warp isn't instaneous, on it's own, you also get the 2000Y/10S ratio. That's why the previous W corp died off, they couldn't find a way to make it usefull. Then the new W corp replaced the old one, getting it's warp singularity and combinning it with it's own singularity : the recombinning stuff. But it still turned out to not be enough to make it usefull, so they made a contract with T corp. The box installed in every train prevent decay and death, by preventing time from truly advancing, allowing them to get the excess time, preventing passengers from dying and the train from breaking down.
@@leopoldbullot8016 I just want to bring forth something. Warp trains dont take 2000 years to reach their destination. It took 2000 to get to the point where the townspeople raid the Library. After that the train keeps going for a bit before the puppets get sent to the Library and finally Puppeteer and Blood Red Night leave. We dont know how much time passes between that and the train reaching its destination, so the total amount could be way more. It would be awesome to have this being a real like 3-5min long proper ost, and we actually have to fight like just a normal Claw, which probably will still kick our butts in whichever game it shows up in.
The Head has had a different OST in both the games they've shown up; both bangers in their own right. I'm sure whenever we see them next we'll get a completely different track that tops the previous yet again. PM almost seems obsessed with one upping themselves
This is about as happy an ending PM could give us while still having the room to make the third game, so I respect this. The Librarians are all safe and sound, Binah decided to cast her lot with the Library despite having a reasonably easy way out to betray Angela, Roland and Angela both went through their worst issues... it seems that the third game will see them all as stronger, more adjusted people, ready for anything the Head and the Fixers would throw at them.
We won't see them anymore at least not as playable characters. A bit sad because I really liked this cast and this battle system, I'm wary of a first person dungeon crawler with a different cast even.

The curtain closes, but it shall open again, and when it does, will it be on a scene known or unknown? But, so too have the potential strength of distortions. The Pianist was a high WAW-rating, remember? I wonder if anyone will ever distort aboard a warp train, perhaps? They were weakened due to fighting the Reverberation Ensemble...that and Gebura wasn't at her strongest, when she was Kali, she carved her way through a number of abnormalities, TWO claws and with one arm, she and Garion killed each other.
An Arbiter and The Claw are decent threats in Lobcorp but you can just Paradise Lost them to death in an easy 1v1 as long as you don't care about Abnos escaping / others dying
Roland fought the Reverb for a week straight, Binah barely got her powers back and Gebura is the furthest thing from top condition. Now I'm not downplaying these 3, they are probably the strongest characters that we know of in this universe right now.
I read somewhere that the City became what it is after a war against sentient machines, with the Head taking over and establishing the law that no sentient machines would be built. With the sheer power their minions have, their uncaring attitude to the rest of humanity, and their only major interventions happening when a major change in all the misery the City wallows in, what kind of person must they be? Yet why does the Head's usually uncaring attitude changes completely when sentient machines are on the line? When Argalia and his cronies ravage the City nothing happens. Why does he send an Arbiter to destroy Angela, the sole real AI in the City? What if he isn't allowing these machines to even appear not because he wants to keep the City "human", but for another ghastly motive? What if the Head itself is nothing but one of these machines? Their orders of the destruction of all sentient machinery aren't to maintain purity. It's to cull the competition.
That's very interesting actually. I don't remember reading this but when you put it this way, it makes a lot of sense. Hell, a machine culling the population makes more sense than mankind genociding all machines. I'd like to see where this goes actually. Do you know where this is mentioned? Because now you have my interest. (Here I was wondering what kind of idiot the guy who leads The Head might be lmfao)

I like, despite how this is actually the enemies’ theme, it sounds so heroic and uplifting, as if driving forward that The Head is great, and we are the ones at fault (which isn’t entirely wrong, causing the potential collapse of at least 2 other Wings, 3 Associations, and 2 Fingers). Really further drives the point that most city denizens approve of and support The Head, which makes us, in this case, an enemy of The City itself. Also what’s with Arbiters being very gentle in the way they speak, is it meant to convey a ‘you did well, now rest’ type feeling?
It does feel like, 'congratulations for winning this little game here, now it is time to move on'. I mean, Arbiters are called like that for a reason after all....
This is more of conveying a glorious final fight; though this battle is unwinnable (because Pmoon knows that violence itself, let alone of a few, doesn't magically cure the systematic problems) it is a battle between the system and people who have trascended the endless cycle of violence, hatred and suffering that the system has brought to them. Roland, Angela and the sephirah have achieved their enlightment and forgiven each other (tree of life symbolism and all that) and can finally face correctly their overlords oppressors; what the game is trying to convey is that only after facing one's self, achieving our own awakening, and understanding how we contribute the corruption and pain of it all, the system can be faced head-on.

@@WiseViper39Thats your headcanon. The Head explicitly wanted Angela dead, if not then expelled along with the library. They clearly failed the former and thus went with the later. The Beholder is clearly a support and information role, never once has a beholder been seen in a combat station. Like the attack on the outskirts lab, Lobotomy Corp, and library, arbiters and claws are the combatants. Beholders are meant to monitor taxes and gather information after all.
it just occur to me that the head can intervene anytime, like ANYTIME since the library causes so much chaos and distortion everywhere in the city, yet they remained silent somehow. angela, no everyone might assume that they needed just to observe more about the library by sending wings in one by one to investigate and see the result, but not on my book. and this is where my opinion started: The head somehow benefited from library. it just comes weird to me that they only and ONLY take action against library when angela comes out back into her robotic form, not the perfected human form she was before she let go of everything, heck they even let her be for another 13 YEARS if she decided to kill roland in one of the bad ending. it lead me to believe that the abnormality that the library causes make more of the citizen to have more power either by distortion/E.G.O/ even singularity that the city can control (presumably A corp singularities to control mind or smth). however since angela let loose of the very benefited part that the head needed, they sees the library has lost its purpose, giving them reason to yeet her and the library out with AI law shit or smth.
Someone had pointed out that The Library contributed heavily to the cycle of suffering that The City and The Head seem to thrive on, seen in how they allow and even justify the Distortion Phenomena, Sweepers and even worse things. At the end of the game, when the light is returned however that changes, both Angela and Roland reject and break the cycle of violence and death that plagues every District and Wing, thus prompting The Head to act against a choice that 'only a Human could made' and 'Far from one that a inhabitant of The City would make', thus they become in itself, an Impurity of the City that must be removed for it has no place in it, Impuritas Civitatis. This notably doesn't Happen in Angela's Bad Ending, where The Library continues even stronger, with more death and destruction, only ending when a Bookhunter---Not an Arbiter/Claw---Kills Angela.
After more than 1 year i finnaly see the ending. I started my first french stream end of march, starting LOR as my main game and finished Library of Ruina today. It was an amazing game. I may make a mod with a special orignal character of mine...but anyways, let's enjoy the warm light.
A year late but, i'm more curious about the claw's ranks, it actually felt fascinating to me. Claws are already powerful enough, but having ranks or position is really interesting, which is the strongest of claw? What other roles of claws can there be? I sincerely hope they explore that more.
The strongest claw is The Claw, obviously. It is explained that the legal side of the city is controlled by three people, each of who control one of the three ruling corporations. The Head, who controls A Corp and has agents called Arbiters. The Eye, who controls B Corp, and has agents called Beholders. And The Claw, who controls C Corp, and has agents called Claws. Since the top claw is also called a Claw, I think it is likely that the strongest claw gets to control C Corp, and get to be called The Claw. (Although the text might refer to claws in general, meaning that the claws don't have a single leader)
@@nikolaysitnikov796 I think the strongest non-head claws are the executioner claws like the one that we see here (not the one in Lobotomy Corp) but there may be stronger, idk
@@thegoldenraysoftheglorious1180 Potentially. With new evidence, I think that the Head is not a triumvirate, but a dictatorship, with the government split into three branches all controlled by the Head. After all, they are just the enforcers of the Head's will. On the topic of why the Head makes the decisions it does: I believe that the Head's main goal is the continued existence of the City. They believe that a purely capitalistic system is best for remaining stable over the years. Every Star & Wing meets its end someday, but the City will continue chugging along as it always have. So, the Head keeps an army of Arbiters and Claws in order to remove anyone who dares disturb the eternal cycle of the City. The Head knew that there must be a limit to the deadliness of wars or the population will be destroyed, so it made residences off-limits to crime. It knew that monopolies would never die and free their spot for someone new, so they created strict patent laws. It knew that non-human intelligences could see through this faster than a human, so it banned them. That's why the Head never fights against the Distortions or the Stars of the City. Because their existence will let others rise and continue the cycle. However, Angela refused to become human and become part of the cycle, so the Head labelled her an Impurity and evicted her.
@@thegoldenraysoftheglorious1180i mean maybe it is because in lobotomy they are being nuked by, like seven ALEPH agents, each having like 1/20 power of The red mist(Who have killed a lot of Abnormalities breaching, killed TWO claws AND gave An Arbiter fatal blow). @@Clivetdoom you are joking baral is just one of the claw that's all. and also director never said about the 12 fixers they're just member of Charles' Office
This was the fight that really showed the difference in strength between not only the librarians and the head, but also the difference between EVERYTHING we've seen so far and gebura, as well as the nuggets and abnormalities. A current color fixer, a weakened color fixer, and a weakened arbiter couldn't do anything but delay a claw and arbiter. The ALEPH nuggets (despite being untrained) could deathball a claw and arbiter, as well as being able to deathball ALEPH Abnormalities (while they're weakened by the qliphoth deterrence). Gebura could solo two claws, an arbiter, and every (still deterred) abnormality breaching at the same time (which MUST include nothing there since she wields mimicry). So all in all: ALEPH EGO is insanely powerful, Gebura really is "The Strongest", and the undeterred abnormalities must be even stronger.
Roland isn't exactly a current color fixer, he lost his original body when he his body got wrecked by Angela in the beginning, so we don't know if he retained his augments or not, ALSO he just finished fighting off Argalia as well. Roland was also stripped of his Colour status before the events of the game. There's no way he's in any condition to take them on even with a weakened Gebura and Binah. The Claw was only a conjured one and apparently not an Executioner Claw like Baral, so lower ranked. Mind you, it took the entire force of L.Corps pretty much BEST AGENTS to take them on. Not sure what you mean by untrained as I'm pretty sure that a lot of the best E.G.O. Gear had stat requirements. Gebura had Mimicry ever since it was given to her by Carmen after they managed to extract it from Nothing There. Gebura did take down two Claws and every Abnormality but actually lost to Garion. She only won because Garion got cocky when Gebura asked for a honourable death and surprise attacked her when she got close.
@@anri8986 Sorry, as a reply to your edit: Roland being as strong as a colour fixer is assumed owing to the fact that he can fight Blue Reverberation one on one. He also said in the story quite early on that he didn't actually have any augments if I remember correctly. He is weakened owing to the fact that he was just in a fight, but that was limited only to his health: His attacks were the same strength as always, and they weren't strong enough to deflect most attacks. Even if Roland was at the strongest we see him as the Black Silence, he wouldn't have been able to win one on one against Baral. The Claw being a conjured one, as it was an ordeal, actually means it was probably stronger than Baral, being an abnormality that's unaffected by Qliptoth deterrence. Agents being untrained is actually just what it says on the tin: They literally have no combat training, according to the manual. Gebura did lose, killing Garion only because she never shuts up, which if Zena is anything to go by might be a trait most arbiters have, so it'd probably work twice :P
@@TehCoopaTroopa Considering how the Red Mist and Arbiter are weaker during their boss fights in Lobotomy, it doesn't make any real sense to say that the Claw would somehow be stronger. Not to mention, it's a lower grade Claw to begin with. And sure, the Agents are untrained. I don't think you can really say they have no combat experience by the time their stats are leveled up to 5 or so and they're wielding EGOs. They're pretty much battle hardened veterans that had to survive being thrown into the deep end at that point.
@@generic120 Text in-game describes all of the ordeals as abnormalities that cannot be controlled, that only appear when the qliphoth deterrence fails. Following that logic, and by the fact that the qliphoth deterrence failing coincides with their appearance, it would make sense to assume that the fixers and the claw from the ordeals of white aren't actually humans sent by the head, but instead an abnormality like the rest of the ordeals. If this is true, and they are actually abnormalities without qliphoth deterrence, they would almost certainly be stronger than their original counterpart. The agents being battle hardened stats wise is true except for one exception: they never actually get stronger. While their health, sanity, and speed increase, their actual damage does not: a level 5 agent with the default weapon would deal the same amount of damage as a brand new agent, who has never had any form of combat experience. On top of that, actual combat in LC doesn't offer any growth to any stats, so while they're experienced at interacting with abnormalities and grow to prove it, their experience doesn't go any further than that. Both LC and LoR point out as well that when using EGO the wielder isn't consciously acting, its the EGO controlling them. In reality instead of giving them EGO to fight with, we've given the EGO people to puppet.

If I had to guess, every second is 1000 years, which if true would mean taking a W Train means 10000 years.

@@kit7951 Except this the City so none of that matters, get folded by the system idiots (being the Librarians) no seriously, the Head was just toying with the Library, pretty sure it’s implied that Zena and Baral weren’t trying and Luda didn’t even fight, and I’m willing to bet that if she had/used Dieci tech, she’d be right there with Zena

it just occur to me that the head can intervene anytime, like ANYTIME since the library causes so much chaos and distortion everywhere in the city, yet they remained silent somehow. angela, no everyone might assume that they needed just to observe more about the library by sending wings in one by one to investigate and see the result, but not on my book. and this is where my opinion started:
The head somehow benefited from library. it just comes weird to me that they only and ONLY take action against library when angela comes out back into her robotic form, not the perfected human form she was before she let go of everything, heck they even let her be for another 13 YEARS if she decided to kill roland in one of the bad ending. it lead me to believe that the abnormality that the library causes make more of the citizen to have more power either by distortion/E.G.O/ even singularity that the city can control (presumably A corp singularities to control mind or smth). however since angela let loose of the very benefited part that the head needed, they sees the library has lost its purpose, giving them reason to yeet her and the library out with AI law shit or smth.

I think baral is just like that one claw that was unfortunate enough to be sent into lobotomy corporation during the midnight.

People wanted a head reception.
We could not beat these three at all and they wanted to fight the head that is stronger than all 3 of them combined.
It would've been different if we weren't weakened post-Ensemble gauntlet, tbh
To be fair they came after dealing with the uninvited guests, then a color challenging the whole library after, then previous uninvited guests distorting. Nobody was in a condition to fight, even the claw guy said that upfront to Roland. But they still held their own against an arbiter and claw despite already being severely fatigued.
All we had is severely weakened Orlando, Binah and Geburah, no passives, no abno pages, no ego pages, no deckbuilding
But still if they were weakened from post ensemble and black silence and again ensemble and the only people that were able to fight against the arbiter and claw were binah roland and gebura then how would they even stand a chance against the head
@@aisir3725 I think it makes sense though. As angela put it earlier, she was letting go of a lot of things, as in her abilities. And we lost the keypages because we let them go. So we wouldn't have any cards to use... Kinda.

Frankly, despite how strong the Arbiter and the Claw was they were not invulnerable. I'm sure with the right setup we could defeat them with our current strength. The problem is that we returned all of the light back. Therefore, this battle is unrealistic to win. But I am sure we will meet with these guys again and then the fight will not be so one-sided.
I have only one question, are we going to play again as Angela and Roland? Or will we will play as the organization that the Purple Tear creates?
who knows?
but even if we did win against the one Arbiter and Claw... Head is just going to be like "send more lol"

It’s cheery because they know they can’t be beaten
@@lastaeon174 Or in their eyes, they're the protagonist.
Perhaps it is actually true that in a sense they were the protagonist, and the Head actually originated from a bright and idealistic group of people, but eventually devolved into this.
I mean they did have a whole speech about how Angela, becoming the person that she is, is what an ideal human should be, but since she's a machine, they have to send her to Brazil
Still can't beat how cheery Distorted Ensemble's theme is.
It has a much more complex emotion than that. It's arrogance. They have a total advantage over the Library at this moment; and trying to push the message that you aren't going to win against them.

This theme is amazing, but...the fact that it only plays for literally 1 Scene (as Baral will seem to always push Roland to the threshold for Gebura to show up on Scene 1 because Serum W go brrrrrrrrr) kinda sucks.
There isn't a treshold. In the past it used to play for 2 scene because Gebura was scripted to come on the start of turn 3.
Now she is scripted to be here at the start of the second scene. So the theme get pushed for just 1 turn.
And to be honest the theme switch make no sense. It's trying to show you, that you can push though this. But in truth I think making the head team stay it would show that even with The Black Silence, The Red mist and An old arbiter. You are no match and you are just holding on to stop them from killing angela before the library is moved out.

@@anri8986 Yeah, but what I meant was that since she was wielding mimicry then Nothing There had to already exist
