I prefer to play the song without a Capo but hey, I dig your style. You must be one of the few guitarists who show a couple of different ways to do the strumming. You even say something along the lines of play around with the strumming and "express yourself". Yes! This is what art is all about. Make shit up! Have fun! Sure, being accurate can be crowd pleasing but don't limit yourself. TY for the free lesson. :)

Hi. You can get a very nice capo pretty cheap. I got my favorite for $10.00 and I've used it every day for 3 years. It is great for adjusting the key for your own voice. I have a nickel Dunlop that works on both my steel 6-string and my nylon string with a wider neck, and it is very simple to use. Save your hockey tape, and the finish on your guitar neck. ;-)
Hey Cali G - it looks like a G7th Performance capo. There are no springs involved. It just squeeze locks into place and you release the tension with a small lever. A bit pricey ($40 and up / way up!) but worth it. I use one exclusively on my Taylor because it has a flatter neck (most Kysers and Shubbs are rounded). Works great!!! You can even get your name engraved on the piece across the fretboard. Hope this is helpful. Look them up at g7th.com Ciao!
