- Today I have coloured in this beautiful book with Black widow pencils. I have shown how to cover some of the branches and some parts I was not too happy with. I have uploaded it as one long video rather than separating it. I really hope you enjoy watching 🤗💖 Link for the book is below

Iv been up since 4.30am because I couldn’t sleep,, I don’t have this book but I find you so calming and relaxing to listen to, I often turn to your videos and sometimes watch more than once. I look forward to you getting your new chair 😃😃 it’s even relaxing listening to your traffic noise as it is so silent here on the farm most of the time and I am alone now since my husband died, it’s just something I have to get used to as it’s not as if he can come back. Treasure the people in your life because one never knows when things will change. Hug them a little tighter and tell them you love them. Keep doing what your doing you bring pleasure to so many people you are a valued member of our internet society ❤️❤️🥰😍
I do the same! Lucy's voice is so familiar by now that part of me feels as if she lived with me, lol! Though she is a temptress and I spend much too much on books and colouring things than I should and I am afraid my husband might set up parental control on my youtube....

The tree in this page is an Ohio Buckeye tree native to Ohio in the US! That is our State tree😊

It's the same family of trees as our horse chestnut trees in Europe/UK which have conkers in the autumn too. (Edit, sorry that was my ND-ness coming out which I hadn't realised was talked about during this video, undiagnosed)

You tickled me when you said to yourself, “Wakey, wakey!” My grandson says, “Wakey, Wakey! Eggs and bakey!” when he wakes me on Saturday mornings. He also says, “What the heck!” We do love our grandkids, don’t we!
I love what you’re doing with this page! The background is absolutely perfect! Just enough color, and the right color. Watching you struggle with the fox is so like my efforts when I’m not following a tutorial. I love the way you are truly yourself through your triumphs and foibles, and everything between.
I had said that I wasn’t going to buy any more pencils this year, other than completing some sets I already have. But, you and other colorists are making me crave these Arrtx pencils. Dilemma! 😂 We do love having “all the things.”

I say "wakey, wakey" when I wake up my daughter in the mornings! She's almost 10 yrs old and it drives her crazy because she doesn't want to get up lol! Also, I just became a grandma for the first time at the end of February and I totally agree about the grandbabies! I never thought I'd be a grandma at 38 yrs old but I'm loving it! I try not to butt in and let them learn to parent on their own, but I LOVE it when my son asks me for advice about the baby! He asked me to teach his girlfriend how to properly burp the baby and that made my day! (My son just turned 20 and has never taken care of a baby before so that's why they ask for advice sometimes). But anyway, I am officially a member of the grandma club! Yay!!!
Hi Lucy love your colouring videos they are beautiful and stunning the way you fix the page when you make mistakes is a real learning for me because when I make mistakes I can fix it thank you for a great video and don't put yourself under pressure it either turns out or it doesn't it's just a picture. I have this book I used white gesso with a size 1 paint brush I painted over the black Berry's the black mushrooms the trees coming out of animals and it works a treat plus the pencils used over the top when coloured are true colours
Lucy, I have so enjoyed your “color with me” for this beautiful page. I love the way you cleared the growths our of the animals! While I love the artwork in this book, that bothers me as it bothers others. Your coloring is wonderful and I love the way you show the colors on the little cards-very helpful! Personally I haven't noticed any difference between the monarch set and the other sets. I just know that Black Widow pencils are my all time favourite xxx

That was brilliant, wasn’t it! Those branches were bizarre. Now that we know how easily it can be done, I’m ready to try it!
I just love coloring while listening to you during this video. Coloring together is much more fun! I just started another page in this coloring book and just finished that one. (The page with the weasel) I used my arrtx pencils and enjoyed coloring with them.

This turned out gorgeous! And I don't think the white Posca highlight on those berries was over kill, I think it was the perfect added touch! Just that little bit of white gave it so much more dimension! You did an amazing job! Thanks for sharing! And tell your grandson hi!
I'll definitely be playing this video back again Lucy so that I can colour along with you. I wasn't sure how I was going to be able to cover up those strangely placed branches, so thank you for explaining this so clearly. If you have Mythographic Magical Earth, I'd love to see a colour with me video on any page from that book. Any page in Rooms of Wonder, Circle of Life or Nature Mandalas would also be great.
I have been struggling a little bit with Mythographic Magical Earth and Circle of Life! I've been feeling down on myself and discouraged because no matter which page I flip to, I see something on the page that makes me feel like I can't do it! Sometimes I have a hard time identifying what certain objects are, and other times I simply just don't know what to do with it or how to go about coloring certain things! I'm good at blending and shadows, and I do fine once I get started and get into it, but choosing a page and colors is something that I have a hard time with! I completely wrecked a page in one of my precious Johanna Basford coloring books and ever since then I've had this phobia of wrecking my pages! I literally haven't colored any pages at all since I wrecked that page! Smh, ugh!
@@nicole_silvers I'm sorry to read this. I understand how you feel as I'm often intimidated by really detailed pages. I haven't been colouring for very long, but I find that starting with the background can sometimes help me to make pages seem less daunting. Attempting one element at a time and taking regular breaks also helps me and I highly recommend following colour along videos like Lucy's.
@@kaleidoscopiccolours Thank you for the kind words and helpful tips! I just started a new page in Circle of Life and so far it's going well! The only issue I'm having is identifying certain items on the page but I'll figure it out eventually lol! And I agree about watching Lucy's color along videos. I watch all of her videos, and I have some other coloring channels that I watch as well. And like you said, taking breaks helps me a lot too!

Lucy, I just got Mystic Animals by Stratton Peterson from The Works, if you have that I'd love to see you do something in that to give me inspiration as I'm a bit overwhelmed by it
Your page is so pretty! I, too, could not figure out why there were random branches coming out of those animals… it’s not the end of the world though - and your cover up techniques worked brilliantly.
My oldest grandson (age 10) has been diagnosed with autism. I want to just hug him and make everything go away. But I cant. I understand your feelings completely. It will be ok
