Grabbed a pair of these in February, I have 179s but only weigh 150. I absolutely love these skis, they just bast through the pow when it's tracked up a bit.
Great review! Got any advice on length? (171 vs 179) I'm 5'10" and on the lighter side at 138 lbs. Advanced-intermediate, but not a super powerful skier. I like skis that make tight, nimble turns in trees and crud, but I worry the 171's might feel unstable or hooky with the 15m radius. I like Liberty Origin 96's in the 176 cm...
Depends on where you mount them too. The factor recommended is like -8 from center, so if you prefer the bumps, and arnt super aggressive then go for the 171s, but the 179 would probably be a better choice and mounting them at +2 from reccomended for a ski you can grow into and be more stable especially at 5.10. I am 5.10 and I ski the 185s
@@justinmtbiking Update in case it helps anyone: I went with the 179's mounted at -5.5 cm from center (about +2cm from recommended). Absolutely love them! These are by far the most fun and nimble skis I've ever tried. They're super playful, but somehow still damped enough to be very predictable. Initiating turns is pretty effortless even though I sized up.
So funny i see this review I was looking for a new all-mountain ski narrowed it down to 3: Dynastar MFREE 99s Ripstick Black edition DPS Koala 103 But I'm so sure I will go with the Dynastars now! love the content great review!
Great review, i have seen about 6 others reviewed the same ski's but yours is far the best, keep up 👍. Do you know if there are any differences for the 2023-4 ? Thanks !!!
Hmmm. Good question! The revolt 104 is a solid ski. I was impressed. I think the revolt has a little more surfy nature, but can still turn, but there is a LOT more rocker. Both great skis, but the revolt might be more freestyle than the mfree.
Excellent review brother thanks for the solid content.
You’re welcome! Thanks for your support!
Great Video, how does the swing weight feel on them? For like doing shiftys and spins?
All good, it’s all about where you mount them and what you are comfortable with.
Tempting…

Yea dude they are quite good!
I weight about 150 as well and I just got 179s. Do they ski too short or can they still hold an edge?
That is probably the perfect size for you!@@erik1tennant
@@erik1tennant They hold an edge at 50mph all day for me. I was worried they'd feel short but haven't noticed at all on the hill.
Thank you both for the replies. The rocker was my biggest concern on the length but I’m happy to hear they should work.

Thanks for the advice! I think you've talked me into the 179's.

@@JonahBJones super glad that you have enjoyed the 179! It’s a great ski and I’m glad that you got the taller length! Thanks for the support

Thanks man! I appreciate your support!
I do not know the differences between the new year and last years. Sorry!
What a great review! Curious, what did you think of the Volkl Revolt 104 compared to these?

Deciding between these and the atomic bent 100s which would you recommend?
Depends what you want. Bent cheaters are softer and a more smeary ski. These have more edge hold and stability
Excellent Info!
This review was really well done! I just bought a pair the other day, super stoked to try them out.
Thank you so much! I’m just here to help everyone out. Hope the Ski is everything you think it will be.
Great review
Thanks!
FAT! Good review.
