I’ve got a small sample of the new Oud Ispahan, and it’s certainly no slouch either. If it was more animalic back then, I’m honestly glad that they’ve reformulated it now, because it’s more wearable now.
Terenzi Gold Rose Oudh is like a high quality version of Montale Black Oud... They do smell almost the same but the quality i can easily detect it to my nose.

My absolute favorite rose and oud fragrance right now is Jo Malone London Velvet Rose & Oud. I am obsessed! It’s well balanced, sensual, and warm. When I feel like something a little sweeter or smokier, I layer it over JML’s Myrrh & Tonka 😊
Just got my nose on MFK Oud Silk Mood Extrait....and what a fantastic top tier scent. I found the magic is smelling it in the air after settling on skin. You just want to keep getting wiffs of it, and it has great longevity and more wearable than some of the others. I have to get a bottle!
MFK Oud Satin Mood Extrait is a bit too powdery for me, I prefer the EDP. I must say as I know some people do not rate Jo Malone but the Velvet Rose and Oud Cologne intense is one of my favourite Rose / Oud combinations. It sits perfectly between MFK Oud Satin Mood and Lancôme Oud Bouquet.

ZGO Perfumery threw a sample of Nicolai's Rose Oud in my big sample order. Who knew that the free sample would be the one I'd end up getting a bottle of. Excellent, Sebastian. Thank you. My favourite that I own is Zegna's Indonesian Oud. Pretty skanky rose/oud combo, but is beastmode in terms of both longevity and projection. And definitely trains your nose to appreciate the heavier end of the oud spectrum offered by the likes of The Desert Gems collection.
Thanks Sebastián, just bought a bottle of Maison Lancome Oud Bouquet earlier this week and all I can say this is a GREAT fragrance, lasted a full day and on clothes still lingering in my car.
I was almost disappointed that The Night wasn't on the list. Unfortunately, it's absurd cost really does prevent it from being a practical fragrance. I was surprised to see Akaster on this list since that gem gets lost in the onslaught of PDM scents.
Only having smelled a clone of the night, I'm glad you said "animalic rose" and not oud bc I've noticed that more rose fragrances have an underlying funk than oud fragrances. Don't get me wrong some ouds are "funky" but mainly I've perceive oud as woody. Thx for the content
Thank you for doing this video. Can't get enough of this combination. But gravitate more torwards the non IFRA compliance fragrances that use higher concentration of rose and natural oud oils like Sultan Pasha's Ensar Rose, Ghaliyah Rosarie from Elixir Attar, Malik Al Taif and Ottoman Empire from Areej Le Doré, Al-Jazzab feom Agar Aura to name a few. Will try to get samples from some of the ones you've mentioned. 😁
I hadn’t experienced rose and our until very recently when I got a candle from Asda, it’s delicious. After I’ve burned my candle I rub the melted wax onto my hands and then dread having to wash my hands later on as the scent stays strong on my hands for a good while. I’ve now decided to try and find a fragrance in my price range that I can use daily

I just picked up Levantium by Penhaligon - oud and rose with a squeeze of peach in the mix. Also got Lauder Wood Mystique which is pleasantly mild and sweet oud and rose combo. Suggest Grossmith Saffron Rose too - love it! Cheers!
My favourite combo! Unfortunately Oud Satin Mood does not sit well with me, it's got a detergent vibe to it, something astringent that I find unpleasant. I do enjoy Jo Malone Velvet Roses and Oud for a office-friendly or every day signature scent in this vein. Good vid!
I wonder if you could replace Oud Satin Mood with 'Rose Ishtar' by Rania J? It has a surprising and uncommon focus on the musk within this musky rose composition. Unsure if there's oud in there but it does have that feel. It may sit much better on your skin, so if you can find a sample or stockist, definitely try it. Gorgeous. Not a strong enough performer on my skin but that's because my skin eats fragrance-- it sounds like the softness would suit you perfectly though.
I have and love the Oud Silk Mood EDP. I have yet to try the extrait. I didn’t like the MFK Oud Extrait (I prefer the EDP) so I’ve been afraid to try the Silk extrait.

Looool Alexandria II was one of my first and biggest crushes in Xerjoff's lineup. At first it seems kinda light and airy, but then it slowly reveals itself. Never too much, but always present, lasting for hours and continuosly reappearing and showing different facets. Not one of those barniard-y ouds, but it's not all that casual at the same time. Conjures the image of a modern Middle Eastern man for me! Mysterious, intense, stylish, gentlemanly... Feels like a good scarf in the middle of a cold winter afternoon. Just... Love it! (In case it wasn't pretty apparent already... Lools) Please do try it when you can! I've tried many of these but few reach the stratospheric levels of Fragrance du Bois Oud Noir Intense - the James Bond of Rose Ouds....shocking elegance and danger on a spring evening - nothing like it anywhere. FDB was so happy with me they sent me a free bottle!
I tested Oud Ispahan yesterday. My god it is amazing. Usually, I dislike Rose Oud fragrances but Oud Ispahan is different. Very pleasant and great performance.
MFK Oud Satin Mood Extrait is phenomenal you need to have it. I dislike Oud’s normally but yes it’s so strong it last over 24hours on skin. It’s a must buy.
Always love your Rose vids ! I have 3 bottles of Rose D'arabie . . . I can't get enough ! On my skin it works year round (except in the heat of Summer). It blooms best on me in the Spring. Oud Ispahan does smell light compared to the older formulation but still performs extremely well. I get solid 10+ hours

The best Rose oud combo I’ve come across is Xerjoff, Rose Gold and its layering companion Amber gold.
You gotta try ATH: Luna, onyx, and oud. They have great rose and combo in each with different things in the mix.

I heard from a fellow reviewer that Chris Collins Oud Galore is pretty close to Maison Francis Kurkdjian Oud Silk Mood Eau de Parfum.
Can't afford any on the list so I stick with Banana Republic Oud Mosaic.
Roja Parfums Amber Aoud, Fragrance Du Bois Sahraa, Boadicea the Victorious Ardent, Roja Parfums Sultanate of Oman.

The one working the best for me in this hot humid tropical climate Indonesia is MFK Oud Silk Mood both edp and extrait. Oud Satin Mood is too cloying.
My Favorites are Oud Ispahan from, Dior Prive and Rose d Arabie from Armani Prive. And Oud Alif from Shay and Blue is great too.

I've tried many of these but few reach the stratospheric levels of Fragrance du Bois Oud Noir Intense - the James Bond of Rose Ouds....shocking elegance and danger on a spring evening - nothing like it anywhere. FDB was so happy with me they sent me a free bottle!
Fragrance du bois parisian oud is a fantastic rose/oud if you don’t like heavy rose 🙌🏻❤️

I tested Oud Ispahan yesterday. My god it is amazing. Usually, I dislike Rose Oud fragrances but Oud Ispahan is different. Very pleasant and great performance.
MFK Oud Satin Mood Extrait is phenomenal you need to have it. I dislike Oud’s normally but yes it’s so strong it last over 24hours on skin. It’s a must buy.

I have 3 bottles of Rose D'arabie . . . I can't get enough ! On my skin it works year round (except in the heat of Summer). It blooms best on me in the Spring. It's my sexiest fragrance in my 200+ bottle collection.
I love Black Aoud on those cold winter days . . . It really makes a statement !

I have know idea why I'm hooked on "Oud Rose" fragrances. I just purchased a powerhouse combination of oud rose ... MFK Oud Satin Mood exdp. I own Dior Oud Ispahan, Bond New York Oud, Kilian Musk Oud, tfk Arabian and Kuwait , Arabian Oud Layal, Xerjoff Alexander III, Armani Rose d Armbre, (body oil) Somali Rose.
I love Gold Rose Oudh. Best one in the collection from your video.

Absolutely gutted they’ve discontinued the Cashmere Oud… I’ve been trying extremely hard to source from the UK without any luck.
You have a great taste and a great collection but for me there's nothing like authentic rose and oud like ensar, areej Le dore, agar aura and sultan pasha
I haven't smelled any of these but House of Matriarch makes a rose/oud/cedar perfume that's just incredible. It's called Kazimi

I am trying to find the balance of the intensity of the Rose balanced with something warm/Gourmand like because Rose is too overwhelming and doesn’t smell that great on me
My favourite is Zegna Indonesian oud; it reminds me of Gucci voice of the snake with rose
Tiziani Terenzi Gold Rose oudh I been singing it’s praises for something now as 1 of the top Rose oudh s out there ! What comes close to try Bond No9 ! New York Oud
Three that are not on the list that are my absolute favorites:
1. Oudh Infini from Dusita
2. Ottoman Empire from Areej le Dore and
3. Santal Royal from Guerlain

I have sampled Black Oud and it has some resemblance to Gold Rose Oudh.
A great one in place of Dior oud ispahan is by Franck Olivier oud touch, Beast of a fragrance.

Hi Sebastian..how would you compare Oud Satin Mood to Juliannas M.Oud. I never smelled the MFK version so I'm not sure if I truly like Juliannas or if maybe Oud just isn't for me
