Next time, Marianne, tell them in your charming manner, which one wants to conduct the interview, and which one wants to meet you in the parking lot for a one-on-one debate after the interview. Then when the debater wants to ask a question, tell them you are being interviewed, and you’ll debate later. Call them out immediately, and make them look shitty at their job. I left the democrat party after voting for Biden and Harris and spent 4 years going through buyers remorse. I’ve voted democrat for 32 years and have never witnessed such a large amount of failed policies under one administration. Never thought I would before 2024 but in 2024 I voted for Trump and so did many of my democrat and independent friends who voted for Biden in 2020. Sorry but democrat politicians and their failed policies are a no for me and apparently the majority of Americans agree with me given the landslide America gave Trump.
I love Marianne. They tried to paint her as kooky from the get-go here NOT mentioning her political books (and philanthropy and activism) and instead just mentioned the books with words “miracles” probably to perpetuate the “crystal lady” narrative. But Marianne plays little league with them and I never thought I’d say this, but she could actually learn something from the way Trump handles the media (minus the lies, ego and hate), but she struggles to hit back at their framing of things. Marianne was so right last election, and she should come on these shows with AUTHORITY about what needs to change, instead of cosying up and shmoozing the host saying she would seek out his advice which just doesn’t work - how does getting advice from somebody on MSNBC signal change? This is after 2 presidential campaigns of being mocked by these people endlessly, including being mocked on MSNBC about 10 days ago when she announced her run for DNC chair! Their guests smugly laughed her off. Marianne then comes on here like a little girl, and although I feel she is most serious candidate, she actually comes off a little as the “unserious candidate” they paint her as in part due to their introduction of her and the way they treat her and the short amount of time she gets to respond which is ludicrous- I see wisdom in her last statement of calling the Spielberg’s to create a story to tell for the democrats for Americans to connect to, but the way this comes off to an MSNBC audience when given only a few minutes to speak just sounds a bit pie in the sky. Simone Sanders jumped from Bernie to Biden and then to corporate media, and this opportunistic mentality is everything wrong with the Democratic Party - it’s interesting to observe how Marianne comes off in these interviews, she too often barely pushes back, makes very weak, vague, indirect attacks - when she’s often such a powerful force and speaker. And I say this as her supporter! Exactly, Marianne doesn’t seem to able to confront these corrupt corporate media anchors face to face. I love her, and think she’d be great in office, but I don’t think she’s ever fully recovered from that first debate performance which created the unserious image of her to these mainstream audiences and she’s mocked and treated as such every time.

I left the democrat party after voting for Biden and Harris and spent 4 years going through buyers remorse. I’ve voted democrat for 32 years and have never witnessed such a large amount of failed policies under one administration. Never thought I would before 2024 but in 2024 I voted for Trump and so did many of my democrat and independent friends who voted for Biden in 2020. Sorry but democrat politicians and their failed policies are a no for me and apparently the majority of Americans agree with me given the landslide America gave Trump.

I love Marianne. They tried to paint her as kooky from the get-go here NOT mentioning her political books (and philanthropy and activism) and instead just mentioned the books with words “miracles” probably to perpetuate the “crystal lady” narrative. But Marianne plays little league with them and I never thought I’d say this, but she could actually learn something from the way Trump handles the media (minus the lies, ego and hate), but she struggles to hit back at their framing of things. Marianne was so right last election, and she should come on these shows with AUTHORITY about what needs to change, instead of cosying up and shmoozing the host saying she would seek out his advice which just doesn’t work - how does getting advice from somebody on MSNBC signal change? This is after 2 presidential campaigns of being mocked by these people endlessly, including being mocked on MSNBC about 10 days ago when she announced her run for DNC chair! Their guests smugly laughed her off. Marianne then comes on here like a little girl, and although I feel she is most serious candidate, she actually comes off a little as the “unserious candidate” they paint her as in part due to their introduction of her and the way they treat her and the short amount of time she gets to respond which is ludicrous- I see wisdom in her last statement of calling the Spielberg’s to create a story to tell for the democrats for Americans to connect to, but the way this comes off to an MSNBC audience when given only a few minutes to speak just sounds a bit pie in the sky. Simone Sanders jumped from Bernie to Biden and then to corporate media, and this opportunistic mentality is everything wrong with the Democratic Party - it’s interesting to observe how Marianne comes off in these interviews, she too often barely pushes back, makes very weak, vague, indirect attacks - when she’s often such a powerful force and speaker. And I say this as her supporter! I truly wish her well, but as she always says, “sometimes love says NO”, and it seems like she just doesn’t do that enough when she’s face to face with these corrupt corporate media anchors - she has this look on her face in the beginning where she’s just thankful to be chosen to be on their declining show (that have shrinking audiences and are becoming irrelevant anyway). I agree. I love Marianne but she should answer with things like, “hire more Democratic leaders on the ground, empower them to craft messages for their own localities, follow their suggestions, make sure their ideas are implemented and the localities get their sewers, or farm subsidies, or whatever”. I’m not a politico, but whatever, she should have been more specific and answered their questions more directly. I have the utmost respect for Marianne. I hope she can be more concrete about these things. That’s the stuff of what Steele and the other anchor wanted to hear. They wereN’t against her, they were trying to draw out how she would change the structure of the DNC. How she would make it less top down. You are spot on, @MeepRamsay. I’m praying for us Dems, and hope Marianne can do it.
