Australia got hold of older brother albums at 10 in house like the red cover called Slade alive cranked volume stamp your feet blew my mind well alright...... every body this brought it all back 45 years later thanks.
Thanks so much for posting this video. I'll watch it again and again. In August 1975, I saw Slade in New York and they were the loudest and most fun rock band ever. Never forget that night.
Slade were really good live, in the early eighties. Saw them live several times including Donington, we’ll bring the house down!!! And they certainly did!!👍🎸🤠🤓
These guys with Noddy Holder could really wake up an audience It was said that they were louder than than the Who. I really love it when Noddy rolls his tongue. there's simply no one better.
My first wife looked and sounded like Noddy. Same hair and face shape, without the big sideburns. Haven't seen her since 2006. She's in prison for attempted murder now.
Una SUPER BANDA EXTRAORDINARIA, saludos desde Sudamérica Perú, esta y otras canciones de este grupo tenían que tocarlas en las fiestas y eran para generar el alboroto total
Noddy had the voice that John Lennon would have loved to have. My band Hosanna opened for them in 1970 at the Temple in London, a truly great band that knew how to rock out !!
@Brain Drain My claim to fame is when they played Torquay in the mid seventies the hotel they were due to stay in cancelled the booking last minute as they were afraid the fans my swamp it. Our neighbours brother was the road manager so Jim Lee and Dave Hill stayed at our house that night. I was 14 and not really that bothered at the time but they were truly nice guys and absolutely charmed my mother. Theirs is the only autograph I've ever got. The next night I was invited to the show in Plymouth and went back to the hotel with them after the show. Phil Liinnot was also there as Thin Lizzy opened for them. I'm more impressed now at 61 than I was then
@Brain Drain Thanks. I was fairly indifferent at the time although I obviously had a great time but the arrogance of youth. But looking back i realise how lucky I was. And as I said they were all genuinely nice blokes. But it was a new experience for me as a small town boy, being in a posh Plymouth hotel room with all these famous guys, they called a taxi and gave him a wad of cash to go and buy Chinese food,I'd never even eaten Chinese before. It's making me smile remembering it.
They were most underrated in America for whatever reason, I don't know. Rather than the '70's blues-based bands & the untalented Heavy Metal bands of the '80's, They really knew how to get fans both into their songs & as Noddy had said many times,,, "Enjoy Yourselves"......
great rocking band had ozzy osbourne in 1980 not pulled out of reading rock and the promoters picked slade to play it resurrected there failing carreer.and later they played donnigton classic slade
Noddy said that the audience went "Merry Christmas!" and that song wasn't on the set list but they played it because the audience wanted them to play it and when they did all the metal heads sang along and tore the roof off.
That voice! Him and Bon Scott. Makes me smile every time.
