This is one of the greatest things I've ever seen. Like seriously, what the hell happened to bands like this? There needs to be a rock band that kicks this much ass again.
@1:03 I mean really. Who struts like this anymore? Who gets out there and get's a groove on. I hope Rock is in just a hibernation. And when it awakes..Oh! look out!!
they didnt miss a beat at all, thats the power of rock n roll man it puts you in a sort of high that you dont want to lose, I used to play for an acdc tribute kinda band back home where im from and i know what its like playing these songs this tight
This is what rock and roll was like in my day no fuckin cell phones, no big screens, no pyro- tech, no gimmicks, held in small venues up close and personal, you could smell the sweat.and even get some on ya. Long Live Rock n Roll and AC/DC was the top notch group of Bangers hands down.
There never be anyone like bon again..... impossible....he would still be rocking at 73 yrs old....people realizing just how great he was....40 yrs later he is still huge.....rocknroll exemplified!!!
3:06 Fantastic look (and listen) at Malcolm's rhythm technique. I'm so sad at what's become of him and the band. But I'm happy to have seen Malcolm play live many times and to see Phil's return on the kit for ballbreaker.
ThatsNotGravy, unique technique of guitar playing. I think it is the best rhythm guitar player in the world. it's my opinion. he seemed to live metranom
We used to watch them on the national broadcaster ABC on countdown in Australia, whatever song came on that Sunday night all the kids would be singing at school the next day.
I love the way Malcolm's and Cliff's guitar is turned up a notch, all gigs should be this way. Malcolm is [or was :(] THE man in AC/DC bit Cliff should have sued the producer for 'bad mastering' ;)
one of the very first gigs I ever went to.. with a couple of schoolmates and their older brothers... had several great bands at Essex Students Union in those days...
the first AC/DC vinyl bootleg I ever bought was called "Trip Wires" and was an awesome recording of this show...bought that back in the mid 80's for 15 bucks...I still got it
They did that crowd walk when they opened for Ritchie Blackmore in 1976 in Munich. Bon with Angus walking right beside me through the audience. In these days nobody knew them in Germany, they left a first impressive mark on that tour.
It’s hard to believe that Bon Scott once played for a band called, The Valentines before he found his niche with AC/DC. All the members complemented each other to become one of the greatest rock bands of the twentieth century.
That looks like Essex University. I was there in 1978 but I don’t remember AC/DC appearing. However I did see them supporting The Who at Wembley Stadium. I think that was in the summer of 1979.
I remember Angus saying in some guitar magazine interview in the late 80s or early 90s that his brother was a better guitar player than Eddie Van Halen - who had insulted them in the press, I think. At the time I thought, "Well, that's a brotherly piece of chivalry, but don't be ridiculous." Now I realize he was right.
With no disrespect towards young bros Rudd and cliff or Brian Johnson the band changed so much after bon passed the band has never been the same to me I am 47 years old and every time I hear gone shooting it takes me back to my youth r I p scott
+monk ford Agree with you 100% They had so much of a rockin' bluesy sound in them days.I'm 52 and was very fortunate to catch them in Belfast on the Highway To Hell tour in '79,brilliant is an understatement.Devastated when Bon died, caught them again in 82' in Dublin, totally different sound all together and even then Johnson destroyed Bon's songs.
I can’t dance - I drink and fuck. That said… I can’t help but boogie to this every time! The gold standard of rock boogie - always have been, always will be.
truly incredible!!!!still shockingly not my favourite version tho, paris 1979 is other worldly incredible!!! it blows my mind that bon is walking through the crowd with angus on his shoulders and most people there wasn't paying any mind to them!!to have seen them at one of these small venues back then!!!!!!

No special effects..... just kick ass music
Well, there was the smoke from Angus's satchel. Kind of special effects for 1978 at least. 🙂

For me, this is performance is the definition of rock and roll.
Airbourne is one of them
Or Bigfoot
Nashville Pussy in their prime - say, late ‘90s - was as good as this, if not better. Think AC/DC meets full bore punk rock played 100 miles an hour.
This is absolutely my favorite live version of Rocker. The whole band sounds super tight.
they didnt miss a beat at all, thats the power of rock n roll man it puts you in a sort of high that you dont want to lose, I used to play for an acdc tribute kinda band back home where im from and i know what its like playing these songs this tight
@@santiagovictor2004,
I agree 👍
Yep: Best ROCK band ever. No question.
Like the stage setup, just a wall of amplifiers and drums, no thrills or pompus crap. Rock n roll in it's purest form by these guys
The band is 5 feet from the crowd...the live performance of a lifetime, hopefully they weren't too high to remember
Being so close to such a r'n'r band will never happen again ... how lucky were those who attended the show ! Memories for life
My god he literally epitomises the rockin rolling man I don't think anyone else could pull it off.
There never be anyone like bon again..... impossible....he would still be rocking at 73 yrs old....people realizing just how great he was....40 yrs later he is still huge.....rocknroll exemplified!!!
I did not imagine there were wireless systems in 1978, it was probably a kind of hi-tech for the time ...
Man, I wish I could have seen AC/DC with Bon Scott!
3:06 Fantastic look (and listen) at Malcolm's rhythm technique. I'm so sad at what's become of him and the band. But I'm happy to have seen Malcolm play live many times and to see Phil's return on the kit for ballbreaker.

The dude at 3:43 appreciates the rhythm technique 💯
@@Abszurdista-fatalista LOL Nice! OG headbanger 1978. Gotta love England!
wish I was a smidge older to have seen them in 77-79 era.....awesome band. R.I.P. Malcolm
We used to watch them on the national broadcaster ABC on countdown in Australia, whatever song came on that Sunday night all the kids would be singing at school the next day.
Thank you BBC for recording and releasing this concert!
I love the way Malcolm's and Cliff's guitar is turned up a notch, all gigs should be this way. Malcolm is [or was :(] THE man in AC/DC bit Cliff should have sued the producer for 'bad mastering' ;)
Seeing AC/DC with Bon has been one of the top thrills of my life. Memories for a lifetime. 🎉😊

Es gibt wenige Lieder mit Brian Jonsen die mir gefallen. Aber alle Lieder mit Bon Scott sind für mich am besten.
Would love to have this on backtracks for rhythm guitar and bass guitar
WAOOOOO...Cliff William is just amazing ! He's a machine...
A Rock'n'roll machine !
3:44 my man with the afro knows how to enjoy an ACDC concert.
2024 still the best. Hits hard still same impact it had back then .

Sad them twice with Bon. Just the most energetic show you could ever see. Saw em once with Brian. Back in Black. Had fun but missed Bon big time!
Being carried out into the crowd by Bon and not missing a note! Top class band.
They did that crowd walk when they opened for Ritchie Blackmore in 1976 in Munich. Bon with Angus walking right beside me through the audience. In these days nobody knew them in Germany, they left a first impressive mark on that tour.
and still going .......incredible ,never happen again
This is how I will always remember Acca Dacca
Nothing else is even close!!
He tenido muchos videos de los ac/dc pero el primero que tuve fue en vhs let there be rock, brutal cuando se rompe esa cuerda............
.
Love how Bon grins in the second verse. He is so in his element and loving it!!!!!RIP Bon!
Its good to see an audience without a phone above their heads.
It was the real AC⚡DC...
The DEFINITION of rock n roll!!!
The governors off rock still lets go simply the best lads
Thank you so much
Their Dynamics were already in place in the 70’s.
often imitated but never replicated
Great camera work for the time.
Really captured the frenetic and amazing guitar playing.

Bon would've loved the 80s... Rip

Really just a one trick pony but no one has done it better for so long. They had that sound nailed by this time. It would only get bigger/louder.
