I ordered a Mishimoto degas bottle from RiffRaff (I know not the same thing as the radiator). They actually called me next day to let me know my order would be taking longer. They didn't say why and I never did ask, but I'm assuming because they had to order it from Mishimoto themselves before shipping it to me. They called to ask if I wanted them to ship the rest of my order and then that separate. I was ok with waiting for it all since I couldn't do much without the degas bottle anyways. I appreciated them staying ontop of letting me know what was going on. I know not totally the same issue. I've always heard great things about Clay and his crew at RiffRaff.

All the vendors operate like that, go straight to the source or buy local, me I buy local. NAPA offers a lifetime on radiators, I don’t think Mishimoto is that great for the price. Keep the 7.3 videos coming..good luck my friend..

I installed a mishimoto radiator about two years ago, and am super happy that I have not had leaks or problems. Yet. I kept my OEM and stuck it in the mishi box to make sure I have back up for just in case. When you spend $800 on a radiator, that's costs maybe $50 to $100 to make, you would expect to be taken care of of there's a genuine problem with the part. To pay extra for a legit claim is unacceptable.
The part at around 5 min in, about set the wrench down if you can't install a radiator was funny, fact and very accurate. I agree 100%. These are about the easiest trucks to work on, bar none.
Try a radiator in a 6.4. We did those very regularly at the dealer. Always leaking at the plastic tanks from flexing around the frame. Gotta love the 6.4 era. I was super lucky to have experienced in cab turbo replacements(my super pro weasel status came from these), cab off full long block engine replacements(more than I can remember) and a myriad of super, ultra, mega fun stuff. Then we saw glow plugs killing early 6.7's, scr failures, nox sensors, def heaters, manifold leaks, cp4 failures, Constant egt sensors, turbo failures back to back amongst other major problems.
I then decided I don't want big power with yet, MUCH bigger and expensive problems, and I found a super clean 03 7.3. Bought this truck, and have been wrenching away to make it hang right with the new ones pulling loads. 300k and counting, runs like new, and way cooler and satisfying than an $80k "turn key" extraction machine. Pulls heavy(14k lbs+++) with no egt problems, as long as I keep the tunes below the 300hp mark. With great care and maintenance, I hope to crest the 500k marker with little to no problems. We'll see, I work my truck pretty hard when I do use it. I'll bet big it'll go the distance. Glad I subscribed to the channel, great content sir!

@@willrisher6049 works great, I've grossed 25k before, and there's no chance of overheating. If there's coolant in it, you can let it eat. Keeps temps right where the thermostat wants it, and the fan clutch has less duty cycle. It sheds heat rapidly, I'm still running it with zero problems. Going on it's third year middle of this month.

I installed a Murray from O'reilly's in 2020, paid $225 for it and it works fine. It now sells for $330. It was in my e99 hotshot truck and I towed pretty heavy, often close to the legal max of 26K for a non-CDL hotshot. I've moved up to a semi now, but I wouldn't waste my $$$$$$ on Mishimoto products. When I did my 6.0 transmission cooler upgrade, I used a Dorman I bought thru Summit. The vendors I have used for my 7.3's are (not including regular auto part stores): Riff Raff, CNC Fabrication, Bitterroot Diesel Performance, Full Force Diesel, Jelibuilt Performance, Rosewood Diesel Shop, Rock Auto and Summit Racing. I have not had any bad experiences with any of these vendors.

Mishimoto just lost my buisness forever. I ordered a Catch Can, they sent me the wrong one. I didn't notice right away because I was taking about a month to get all of y parts in to do a Intercooler & Trans cooler upgrade on my 7.3 OBS. When I finally opened the packaging to do the upgrades, never used the items, I noticed they sent the wrong on. I reached out only to be told "TO BAD" (in so many words). It was not a cheap catch can and now I'm out $$$. They do not care about thier customers, so I am no longer a Customer!!!
Oh and BTW, it took Mishimoto 3 weeks to ship the damb thing from CA to NV!!

And repair manuals and parts are available for life of the company. That makes a lot of sense to me. It seems that Mishimoto has started making them in China like everybody else in the quality control is gone to shit just like everything else. Everyone keeps telling me I need to replace my tranny cooler on my 7.3 if I’m pulling stuff because the stock one from ford isn’t big enough to cool properly blah blah even though I’ve never had my transmission get over 180° even heavy hauling and tell me I need the Mishi Moto one and then I start hearing all these problems people are having with their stuff recently not in the past because in the past their stuff supposedly was top-of-the-line May that’s why it was so expensive but now I think their stuff is just as flimsy made as everything else and is grossly overpriced I’ll stick with my Ford radiator and tranny cooler as long as I possibly can😅
