ഞാൻ excel പുലിയാണ് എന്നായിരുന്നു എന്റെ വിശ്വാസം, VLoockup , index and match എല്ലാം ഭംഗിയായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാറുണ്ട്. എന്നാൽ സാറിന്റെ dget ക്ലാസ് എന്റെ കണ്ണ് തുറപ്പിച്ചു. വളരെ സിമ്പിളായി ഉപയോഗിക്കാവുന്ന ഫോർമുല, ലളിതമായി അവതരിപ്പിച്ചതിന് നന്ദി.

Hi. Thanks for the valuable info. Inspite of being a regular user I hadn't heard about the DGET function so far. My doubt is whether this function is available in office 2016 or only in office 365 or office 2019
A limitation of the DGET function is that you can’t pull the formula down using Fill Series to lookup multiple names to return multiple Designation and Departments.... so sad. i am working with thousands of data.... it is useless for me. better choice is index and match... Anyway thank you for a wonderful formula and your classes are very classy and easy to understand.
You are right. Database functions work like that.
Moreover, DGET is not a substitute for VLOOKUP or INDEX+MATCH.
For multiple matching records, I suggest referring my videos on XLOOKUP and 6 New Dynamic Array Functions.

Exactly..not a useful function who is looking a substitute for vlookup..and I didn't think its a useful function in our everyday work in excel.

This is a very useful function, especially with the multiple arguments you can use. I will start using it now, thanks a lot for explaining this! Regarding vlookup, I find the combination of index and match to be a very good replacement.

Sir, i have a classwise table of railway fare, arranged horizontally in an order, 1.distance, 2.Ist Class, 3.IInd Ac, 4.IIIrd AC, 5.II SL. I just wanna find the rate of a specific class for a specific distance, and when i change the distance and class the fare should change corresponding to.. What formula or function i can use for that. I tried ur dget function, but didnt get.

എന്റെ വൈഫിന്‍റെ സ്കൂളിലെ കുട്ടികളുടെ മാർക്ക് ഒന്ന് സോർട്ട് ചെയ്യുന്നു. DGET Function ഉപയോഗിച്ച് ഒരു സബ്ജക്ടിന് ഏറ്റവും കൂടുതല്‍ മാർക്ക് വാങ്ങിയ കുട്ടികളുടെ പേരു കണ്ട് പിടിച്ചു. പക്ഷേ രണ്ടോ അതിലധികമോ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ഒരേ മാർക്ക് വന്നാല്‍ എന്ത് ചെയ്യും.

DGET ഉപയോഗിച്ച് മൾടിപ്പിൾ ഡാറ്റ എസ്ട്രാക്ട് ചെയ്യാൻ പറ്റുമോ? ഉദാഹരണം ഒരു name koduthal ayalude underil ulla all bill numbers and the amount with date.
Illa. Database functions DGET, DSUM, DCOUNT won't work like that.
I recommend the FILTER function in Excel for this purpose.

I suggest to use FILTER function for this purpose. Check my video on the new dynamic array functions in Excel. FILTER function is one among them.

Formula താഴോട്ട് കോപ്പി ചെയുമ്പോൾ error കാണിക്കുന്നല്ലോ. Vlookup പോലെ thazhot കോപ്പി ചെയ്താൽ formula work ആകില്ല.
Criteria ഇൽ header ന്റെ തൊട്ട് താഴെ കൊടുക്കുന്ന value ന്റെ result മാത്രെ ഇത് കൊണ്ട് ലഭിക്കാത്തൊള്ളൂ.

ഇത് vlookup പോലെ ഉപയോഗിക്കാൻ പറ്റുന്നില്ല. ഒരൊറ്റ സെല്ലിൽ മാത്രമേ കിട്ടുന്നുള്ളു. ഒരു കോളത്തിലെ എല്ലാ വാല്യൂസിനും dget ചെയ്യാൻ സാധിക്കുമോ
DGET function cannot be used like that. Note that DGET is not a substitute for VLOOKUP.
