Oh it's been there underneath the surface, peekin through the cracks here and there. Take Jimmy Swope, Amber Digby, and Jamie Wilson for example. Though I'm glad someone's finally gettin recognition, also Sturghill, aside from his more unusual outlaw pieces, is pretty true too.

Yada yada, ok. I read all that, and let me tell you, if it's not traditional country, then it's country rock, country pop, some of that beach country i've heard (Jimmy Buffet), or Southern rock. You think Jimmy Swope isn't talented? Pah. I think your idea of talent purely depends on fame. Nope, country pop is indeed a thing. It's possible, and it exists, so just let Jesus take the wheel on that one. As for the Swope thing, well, if you can't appreciate it, that's fine by me. Also, I'm surprised you seem to be a country fan, yet you slander George Jones, someone who's looked up to by country musicians and listeners alike. My old uncle always called it "drankin' music" and I always loved it. I hate this all-sounds-the-same-new-country-corporate-crap.
