I grew up on metal and my wife was an 80s/90s goth/punk kid from Hollywood. First time I heard this album I was--for the first time in my life--moved to dance (I think it was "About to Find Out" and I totally wanted to get some boots and slap my heels). I came home and told my wife "You're going to kill me, but literally every song on this album ****ing SLAPS!" She put her head in her hands (country was a HARD line for her), but she listened and said "You know what? It does!"
