You are obviously unaware that Nic and his friend Chris are two of the biggest punk anoraks on the planet and have millions of demo tapes of every obscure band that ever existed. A lot of bands were quite diligent wit their tapes. I think I was one of the only people in punk who taped over all my bands master tapes as couldn’t afford new tapes (and I mean cassettes)….

It was the greatest time of all, it was the worst time of all in 1985. But it was a great EP, and it was and is the best band of the extreme Metal style of all time!
Some of the guitar riffs and the lo-fi sound makes it sound a bit like black metal at times. That's my main genre, so I'm not very familiar with punk or death metal during this time. Really cool demo.

Imagine how boring the world of music would be if all the legendary bands listened to posers and never got out of their basement demo era. But as it is, most musicians are far more open-minded than their audiences, which is good because the metal genre is probably the most productive of them all, or at least one of them, because of it. And no I'm not saying the demo is bad, especially for its time, but the band improved significantly over the years, whether it's musicianship or creativity, sure, they've had weaker and stronger albums, but almost all bands with such rich discography has their better and worse era, current Napalm Death is definitely true to their roots, I mean look how many extreme bands changed or soften their sound to appeal to a wider audience, Napalm Death's music was always intense and brutal, unless you're one of those people who think that any clean production and mix is weak or bad then I don't know what to tell you.
Pretty cringe comment there mate ngl. Yeah 80s ND is legendary. The Nic/Justin/Mick lineup and the Lee/Shane/Bill/Mick lineup both put out some of the all time classic extreme punk material, but the current lineup, which btw has been essentially the same for nearly 30 years now, still makes music that's vicious, politically charged, and passionate. Have you even heard their last album? Its probably the most creative thing they've ever done and somehow still manages to go absolutely hard as hell. You might not be into the deathgrind style they play now, but they deserve respect for their longevity and their commitment to their message and ethos
It's was recorded sometime in 1985, and apparently released in December of that year. Even though Mick is on the cover it's definitely not him playing drums.

That maybe true, but this is pure punk. Some of it is from post-punk, noise/industrial side, but most of it is UK HC/Crust influences.
I feel like 1985 was the best year for stuff. Back To The Future, Bonded By Blood, Seven Churches, etc.
One of my favorite bands, i saw they in concert and was brutal. Incredible!😝
Justin, Nick, Miles, Pete, thank you for so much and sorry for so little!!!

I love the early napalm death stuff where there is some audible melody and you can hear the song and take it in in a longer than 10 second sound byte
