I’m just a casual viewer, but Clare undersells her skills so much in this video! I feel like she was intimidated by the fact that the other 3 Game Changers they chose are “builders” and she does more CAS/gameplay. But out of the four, she’s definitely the most in her element with the cute, overgrown, cottage core aesthetic of the pack. And her natural skill with storytelling gave this cottage so much personality, which is something unoccupied homes in the game are usually lacking.
Yeah. Most houses are just bricks and a door. Clare's houses have emotion and story and excitement. Building is like creating a story too, and Clare is so good!

Yes, the Sims team really need to be told about their catalogue. Not everything is better in BIG sizes. I really wish they reduce the sizes of more stuffs in their catalogue! Everything is always too frigging big and needs to be reduced.

The avocado green bathroom was hardcore a real thing XD We used to have one; my grandmother was all about it in the 70s XD My sister updated it for us, generational house ftw :D
I mean the EA team IS American but a lot of our old houses from the 60's and 70's had things like green plumbing and carpeted bathrooms lol. I think the reason they vetoed it is like Claire said, I don't think they got the old timers vibe of the house. I think they felt it didn't fit the rest of the build at all and wanted the style to be more cohesive.
I think green bathrooms or pink bathrooms were generally an overall western style during the 60s and 70s. Not exclusive to just GB. You'll probably find a similar style in Canada too. Kind of like how modern style is essentially everywhere now in a lot of new homes. Some styles transcends borders.
I just came from lilsimsie’s video and she definitely loved your builds.❤️ She’s mentioned both the cottage and the renovated barn. She said that she loved how realistic the attic was and how incredible the terrain paint was. Just a little reminder that you and your builds are wonderful and amazing🥰
I love how the sims team critique the yucky green bathroom, yet MADE the colour swatches ??!!? I live in Australia and my childhood house had a deep chocolate brown bathroom with caramel accents! The toilet, sink, shower everything was brown and yes it was as dark as you’re thinking. Funky bathrooms are a statement to the older trends

But am I the only one thinking how hypocritical the sims team are for telling Clare she has to change colours and asking her why there are windows leading to no top story, when they have given us builds without toilets, and doors leading to a two story drop, and some of the ugliest houses ever? It's easy to nitpick when you're not the one building it! Well done Clare, it looks amazing and I will definitely be making use of this build in game!

Honestly, the original brief was just weird... A starter home stuffed with things would never work with a starter budget, so I'm happy they changed their minds! Also, I totally LOVED Clare's original bathroom it was soooo old and granny-vibe!! This whole build made me want to visit rural England so bad!!! Absolutely cannot wait for the other build video. I am gonna get the pack when it comes out and I always have a lot that I always move into for each world and yours is so nice it will be yours that I will always use. Some houses like that are actually in Scotland too!
This is the most adorable pack! I can’t xD as I live in the countryside of England I love how accurate this looks to a lot of the small villages near me! And I love the thatched roofs xD I’ve always loved thatched roofs, old stone walls and wooden beams along the ceilings! So this pack means I’ll be able to make my sims in my dream homes! (Also ik there might not be wooden beams- but eh still u get the idea!) :D
