Its so funny how people actually blame Montgomery. His first game with the Blues and they already scored more goals than the Bruins did in their last three games. Shows how much talent the Bruins have.
Definitely a good take on the whole Monty situation, but I will say that as a Blues fan that the Blues are at least 2 maybe 3 years away from being hyper competitive again and their ceiling this year and probably next year is a fringe playoff at best who might win a round in the playoffs if they make it and get a good matchup. Also the Blues will not be active in the free agent market until all of their prospects start coming into the league and the Blues know what they have and know what they need to get over the hump. Best of luck to the Bruins this season and we’ll see you next season. May the baddest team of them all be victorious.
Buddy, STL is in a retool. They aren't going to raid UFAs. They are waiting on the 5 first rounders they are developing to arrive. That team could be an absolute monster in two years
Bruins fan. It's no coincidence that Sweeney was the GM who fired Julien, Cassidy, and Montgomery. He keeps bungling the salary cap every offseason. He can't put a Cup team together, so he blames the coach to cover his ass. Also...Swayman will not be a top 10 goalie playing a 55-65 game season. If Sacco doesn't return to the 41 game goalie rotation, Swayman will continue to fail. He's only in his 4th season, he plays like a rookie and he still can't stop a 1 on 1 shot.

Cassidy and Monty were a combined 365 - 149 - 69 in their 8.25 seasons behind the Bruins bench. It was never the coaches fault. Fire Sweeney.
If you think Sweeney isn't the issue, look at 2015 draft.
