    Used this video in January 2023. This part at Advanced Auto or Autozone showed to be about $105 per bulb, but I got it from Amazon for $35 for two bulbs, so we'll see how long they last. This video was really easy to follow. It really helped me change my bulbs, so thank you!

    Thanks for posting this video. I did it last night for both sides on my ‘07 Prius. I wouldn’t have been able to do it if it weren’t for your instructions. The only issue was the front bumper falling off, so whoever is going to try this at home, watch out for that problem and secure the bumper with a support underneath. It took me almost an hour to reinstall the bumper properly 😅

    Thanks much. Your video made the job much easier for me. The first time I changed bulbs I was able to do it without removing the bumper. But this time I couldn't budge the dome behind the bulb. It really helped to see how easy it was to remove the bumper to get at the housing. My 07 hadn't had new bulbs since 2014, so six years later in '20 the o-rings were really tight.

  • @MarkFoltz

    This was a great video, thanks. It was really a pain to get the bulb cover off and a couple of the pins holding the black hood cover broke, but not too bad overall. Way cheaper than the dealer to DIY!

    Great video help me a lot. Save me a ton of time. Except for the fact I didn't take into account that I live in upstate New York, part of the rust belt. So I go and I throw my screw gun on those rubbers stoppers screws on that first panel and snap one off and strip the other. So I had to drill the whole crap out and make a makeshift. Thank you! The rubber bumper lol. I hope nobody makes the same mistake I did.
    Beware! You need to make adjustments after watching a video from people in warm states. Lol. Color me dumb

    Thank you followed your instructions and it worked perfect, especially that last headlight bolt. Once the housing was loose I was able to replace the headlight without disconnect any wires other than twisting off the headlight connector. Those other connectors can be tricky. But thanks again so much I have replaced the other headlight in the past with a different method but the cover on this was so tight I needed to get the whole assembly out to remove it.

    Thanks for this video! Last time I changed the bulbs I did it the blind way. Working blind is definitely not the way to do it! This didn't take much longer, but was so much more secure. (I discovered this time that neither rear cover had been closed properly.)
    The only problem is that this leaves the bumper cover hanging by the under-car fasteners. So it's probably a good idea to finish as quickly as you can, or maybe even put something under the bumper to hold it up. Or maybe do one side at a time, even though it's easier to do both together.
    Great work!

    Thanks. This is the easiest way I found to replace the inverter coolant pump. While the headlight is out, it's right there with plenty access. Two locking pliers to seal the hoses so you lose very little pink liquid. Essential to purge air after new pump install.

    I would not have been able to handle this job myself were it not for this video. This will save me at least $250. The third bolt was not in the same place as in the video (it may have changed year-over-year) but I was able to find it. The only thing I wish he had done that he didn't do was show how to disconnect the headlamp wiring. But I'll figure it out.

    • @mifketherussian-american8126
      @mifketherussian-american8126 4 года назад +1

      This is a follow up to my earlier post. When I changed the angle of view, I found the “missing” bolt and took it out. Voila! The assemble came out, as promised. I am waiting for my new parts to arrive. If I have properly diagnosed to problem, I will have repaired it for around 50 bucks. My repair guy, who is honest, gave me an estimate of about $350. I have no argument with what he quoted, but I’d rather pocket the $300 myself. I gotta tell you this - I am 73, and I will NOT claim that this job has been quick and easy. It has not. But, in my younger days it WOULD have been easy. So, if you’re at all handy, keep the high cost low and give this a shot.

    Thanks for this video. It was very helpful. However, I had a couple of hurdles. The bulb in my Prius was different and required a Sylvania 9003 bulb. Unfortunately, I had ordered on-line the bulb that you showed in your video. Foretunately, I was able to get the 9003 bulb at a local parts store. Secondly, I had to struggle with getting the fender loose enough to get at the 3rd bolt that held the light fixture. Did I miss something. Are there some additional bolts under the fender that needed to come off. Overall, your video was great. Thanks again.

      for myself, this had to do with the wheel hub replacement...there are wheel sensors in those areas that if not working or attached properly, will throw those warning lights...I had a wheel hub replaced 5 years back and suddenly those lights went on...cleaned the wheel sensor connection to no avail...let it go until just last month when i needed yet another wheel hub assembly on the same side...replacement has somehow permanently turned the warning lights off...not saying you need to replace the wheel hub to remove these warning lights, but it could be the wheel sensors that are located in the same general area as the wheel hubs
