Joon said when he was writing Louder than Bombs, ON and We are Bulletproof: Eternal, he cried in his studio thinking back through everything they've been through 😭😭😭😭😭
Ja.. I saw that conference when he said that. I could understand he felt that. Those lyrics from those songs are so emotional they made me cry too thinking of what they have all gone through up to this point.
OK let's talk about RM's bilingual wordplay in this song. The lyric videos don't convey it. "Na-neun uk-hae" does not translate to "I go ugh". It literally means "I'm cold". It's slang, sort of like we say "that left me cold" when we are not impressed by something. It's more like "that bugs me" to Korean people. It also sounds like "ugh" or 'oof", which is what we sometimes say when we are bugged by something. Another example of how Nam Joon is a genius.
Yeah, I heard K-Diamonds said there's a lot of interesting wordplay in this song Ugh. I'm waiting for Korean ytubers to make an explanation video abt this.
There’s so many meanings to the song “Louder than bomb”. There’s many suicidal in Korea due to bullies. This song literally tell you to speak up and fight. Your “Voice” is louder than the bomb. No matter what kind of problems you are confronting, use your Voice to fight back and never give up.
This is from Spotify for Louder than Bombs: “Louder than Bombs” tells the story of how sadness and fear grow as one encounters stories of pain around the world. The message that “we will continue to listen to your story and will never stop singing so speak yourself” intensifies with the song’s brisk yet grand atmosphere. So yeah it’s a song to comfort your pain, whatever hardship you’re going through
in suga's part in louder than bombs there is a line that says "rolling in the poop"-- a better translation would be "No matter what I do, I get caught up in shit"
Ugh was their anger towards the online hate, malicious commentors and people that burst their frustation out the jealousy, dislikes, their success on them. As said in the song we'll get anger and it's fine it's human emotion but not keeping it to them, how one's jealousy, frustation, hate can mentally affects(which BTS already experienced) and can curse& ruin their lives. That's why the song has aggressive tone.

RM cried a lot while writing Louder than Bombs, Black Swan and We are bulletproof: The Eternal. They really reflected into their seven past years with these songs.
what I got from Louder Than Bombs is that BTS have been fighting and using their voices/platform to bring about awareness to the world even thou they faced bashes and criticisms "if it's not us, who's going to do it?" and they "picked this game" as in they are accepting their destiny as being BTS. Louder Than Bombs is my favorite track on this record. It goes somewhere I really wasn't expecting when it opened with the chill finger snaps...Namjoon said he cried while writing this song, Black Swan and The Eternal. Don't think it's political. This album is really a masterpiece. I'm glad to see you're reacting to all the songs. Most of them won't be mv's right away... maybe later? But most of them will be on stage at the concerts. I won't be able to go to a concert but I'm very hopeful that at least one of them will be live streamed again. The opening concerts in Seoul have been cancelled because of the (covid/sp?) virus. The stadium has been closed until further notice so they don't even have a 'postponed until' date yet. I hope the same thing doesn't happen here. Your reactions are excellent. Thanks again.
correction: To be postponed because of coronavirus is Album Release Event. But Big Hit has never announced to postpone or cancel the Seoul Opening Stadium Concert until now.
RM revealed in BTS's recent press conference that he cried while working on their new songs such as"LAUDER THAN BOMBS" and " WE ARE BULLETPROOF:THE ETERNAL "I cried alot while working on them in the studio alone,as i was thinking about the past." "I think i'm still struggling with revealing my weaker sides and accepting them as they are" RM said.
In my opinion, Louder Than Bombs tells about how hard n painful their struggles as artists, but somehow they have picked the game (to be BTS) and they promise to keep singing for us no matter what (Louder than bombs I sing, they say). This song makes me cry like a baby. It shows how much they love us 😭
I don't know how others interpret the lyrics of LOUDER THAN BOMBS, to me it may sound sexy but the lyrics are heartbreaking. • "The strange shadow within those cheers" > is like they know there's hate as much as there's cheers. •"In my quiet sea, waves rise from time to time." > Shit happens that's out of their control • "Your silent sorrow shakes me." , "The pains pour down, the face you made since the time I learned that it is what it meant." > I don't know what this exactly meant, but to me as if they're saying they're afraid of our disappointed look. We usually look at them with smile and full of love, so the moment we gave strange different look, it's scary. They often say that one of the thing they're scared the most is disappointing the fans. "The times when I looked away from you, the days when I kept running away -- they will no longer exist." > Reminds me of their MAMA 2018 Artist of the Year speech. But this time they're saying those moments and feelings won't happen anymore. • "They say the pains I have are hypocrisy." > Remember when kpop fans said they're emotionally manipulating us faking their pains by mentioning their disbandment thoughts. and their underdog story. • "No matter what I do, I roll in dirt." > Whatever they do it's gonna be wrong to the eyes of other people. This song has really vague message. So, I guess the interpretation depends on every person. But regardless, it's so heartbreaking.
JK said Louder than Bombs was their shadow. I love how it goes from I break to I say to I sing. It’s the progress from breaking by the darkness from outside and within, to talking about it, to singing above it.
I didn't quite know how I felt about the song. But after hearing your explanation you made me love it. The words dread and eerie are the perfect descriptions. The pain seems to run deep here and I agree that something must have happened to them to get this emotional.
I think this Louder than Bomb is about them, their fate as a celebrity, everything they faced since the beginning up until now. Their acceptance of their fate and how they have each other through ups and downs. And how they have their lovely fans BTS Army.
""Louder than bombs" tells the story of how sadness and fear grow as one encounters stories of pain around the world. The message that "we will continue to listen to your story and will never stop singing, so speak yourself" intensifies with the song's brisk yet grand atmosphere." -BTS
Louder than bombs is about BTS' dark feeling whenever they found ARMY getting sad. As our idols, they really don't want to bare their sadness if we're sad, but in this song they talked so honestly about how they also found it hard when they heard/knew about ARMY's sadness & hardship. So they said (in this song) no matter how sad they'd become, they would still sing to us so fervently -- or sing to us louder than bombs.
UGH will be one of the highlights in their concert for sure. But ain't Rapline songs to watch for in every BTS concert? And I'm imagining Hoseok doing a dance break at the last part of this song. 😜
Ugh is my national anthem in this album. As well as with their Tear album (outeo:tear). Raplines always kills, this is all for the haters y'all...ahem, ahem.... Thanks for reacting and to people translating the deep meaning behind their lyrics, thank u so much.
UGH! Another one of my favorites. My kids thinks I am funny when I jump around the house to this song but I know that they secretly enjoy it themselves.😁 You nice, keep going!💜
To me "The Song" was "Louder than Bombs" (well it was all songs but, this song, just... i don´t know, made me feel what are they saying before I read the lyrics)😍😍
I dont know why but Louder Than Bombs, J Hope's & Suga's part gave me the same vibe as the song Red Nose by Tech N9ne. Just an eerie vibe but yet so beautiful.
For ugh, I've got nothing but this...we're gonna lose our shits when they perform this live at the concert!!! And I suspect we're gonna get a SICK dance break from Hobi (after "let's go")!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!

In my opinion, Louder Than Bombs tells about how hard n painful their struggles as artists, but somehow they have picked the game (to be BTS) and they promise to keep singing for us no matter what (Louder than bombs I sing, they say). This song makes me cry like a baby. It shows how much they love us 😭
Bts is good at everything! Vocal line and rap line :) they are the kings! 💜💜💜💜💜💜💜
"Is that him singing too? JHOPE" My fav😂
sad angry!!! exactly the word that i needed for describing suga's voice
UGH IS DOPE! I get pumped up everytime I listen to it.
yoongi whisper voice is just something else... sad angry is a great way to express suga's rap style.
I feel energized everytime I hear ugh!!! It is such a bopppppp
'ahem'is used by someone superior. They are using that to mock their haters
RM cried while writing Louder Than Bombs
The word play is so phenomenal that almost none of the lyric videos seem to agree on a set meaning. I love both of these songs. Great video
the ahem bit at the start of the video was very funny.... but real talk this song freakin slaps!!!
I don't know how others interpret the lyrics of LOUDER THAN BOMBS, to me it may sound sexy but the lyrics are heartbreaking.
• "The strange shadow within those cheers"
> is like they know there's hate as much as there's cheers.
•"In my quiet sea, waves rise from time to time."
> Shit happens that's out of their control
• "Your silent sorrow shakes me." , "The pains pour down, the face you made since the time I learned that it is what it meant."
> I don't know what this exactly meant, but to me as if they're saying they're afraid of our disappointed look. We usually look at them with smile and full of love, so the moment we gave strange different look, it's scary. They often say that one of the thing they're scared the most is disappointing the fans.
"The times when I looked away from you, the days when I kept running away -- they will no longer exist."
> Reminds me of their MAMA 2018 Artist of the Year speech. But this time they're saying those moments and feelings won't happen anymore.
• "They say the pains I have are hypocrisy."
> Remember when kpop fans said they're emotionally manipulating us faking their pains by mentioning their disbandment thoughts. and their underdog story.
• "No matter what I do, I roll in dirt."
> Whatever they do it's gonna be wrong to the eyes of other people.
This song has really vague message. So, I guess the interpretation depends on every person. But regardless, it's so heartbreaking.
You're right - every listen it just gets better.
Jimin’s voice is my heaven
JK said Louder than Bombs was their shadow. I love how it goes from I break to I say to I sing. It’s the progress from breaking by the darkness from outside and within, to talking about it, to singing above it.
HAHAHAHA “I need a couple of words, how about AHEM, AHEM AHEM” I’m rolling on the floor 😂💜
I didn't quite know how I felt about the song. But after hearing your explanation you made me love it. The words dread and eerie are the perfect descriptions. The pain seems to run deep here and I agree that something must have happened to them to get this emotional.
definitely a great song. one of my favorites by the rap line
here is a better translation of UGH doolsetbangtan.wordpress.com/2020/02/21/ugh/
UGH is my fav too. That song is a bop!!!
Your every reactions to our rapline are all easily my faves. Keep it coming.
I describe Suga’s style as tormented.
I can imagine jhope doing dance break at the last part of ugh🤟💜💜
Louder than bomb one of my fave in the album MOTS 7.. this song is misty..love ur reaction💜
The message that "we will continue to listen to your story and will never stop singing, so speak yourself" intensifies with the song's brisk yet grand atmosphere."
-BTS
Louder than Bombs is favorite song from the album! So sultry!
I still like UGH the best. However, Louder than Bombs is my 2nd favorite. This album is a tremendous release. Beautiful voices on Louder Than Bombs.
Suga's rapp is "sad angry"👻
I love UGH! so much. I can listen it thousand and million time. It make me so so so so satisfied on it. I need set my alarm to this song.
I think people who don't get to know them and their stories are missing out on half of the experience of listening to their songs..I get so emotional
Ahh man DT you killed me with laughter @12:00 lmfao I freakin love u
For ugh, I've got nothing but this...we're gonna lose our shits when they perform this live at the concert!!! And I suspect we're gonna get a SICK dance break from Hobi (after "let's go")!!! I CAN'T WAIT!!!
UGH is my jam these days before going to work. Yeah I agree that this one's definitely a song to play at the gym. The beat is sick.
RM said he cried writing for Louder than Bombs
If you have watched the cypher medley live then you can almost imagine how it gonna be when they perform this live.... I can't wait
Can you imagine how hype its going to be if the rap line performs UGH! on tour?? CANT WAIT
i like the way you analyze, how you understand all of their songs, its fresh for me to hear or read different perspectives. thank you for uploading videos and for making time for this. have a great day.
