As for my honest opinion the graphics re amazing but is the dark to necessary i mean Q3 was about futuristic interdimensional arenas and i recall that the maps had some high lighting on some places.
How can I reach out to the fellow behind this graphics update? I have a real-time radiosity solver to capture indirect lighting I want him to implement if possible
List of mods in description. Download all mods and copy everything to the baseq3 folder except for the berserker port. copy it to the root folder. (All .pk3 files in baseq3). Install reshade as desired in the root folder. Run port and adjust brightness, gamma in console. (g_gamma 1.71 , g_brightness 0.8)
@@andrewdoomer1968 even when I do that, my game looks nothing like yours. There aren't any reflection in the textures, the lighting is very flat, no shadows, etc. I put everything except the reshade and berserker port in baseq3 like you said
@@andrewdoomer1968 The problem might be that the link you give for the berserker port is a decade old. In your video (at 1:25 mark) the console says the port is from May 25, 2019 but my game says Dec 18 2011. Where did you get the updated version?
@@andrewdoomer1968 thanks for finding that, but sadly that one doesn't work either. It gives me an error "couldn't link _anaglyph" and refuses to start. Maybe it's too much to ask, but could you upload your actual quake installation? That way, it'll either work, or I'll know the error is something with my computer.
Update: says error no glms shaders compilator found. Any ideas to fix it? You did a good decision that you did not select CiNEmatic Mod textures - my textures are better. Did you bake the normal maps or engine does it automatically? I played Berserker a couple of times - good work.
this game still have new mods WTF so epic. sorry had to check YT see if there where any new mods cos having an argument about TF2 being the best shooter. well you got HATS thats about it.
Are any of these Compatible with the Spearmint mods for Quake 3? Despite being a bit too dark (which I assume you can alter with reshade), this combination of mods looks great! (y)
yeah all we can do is just improve the graphics and visual effects. Everything that could be done is already been done. quake 3's idea and gaming design is 50 years ahead of time.

This looks amazing. But i'm curious, anyone know of a mod that fixes the UI for Ultrawide 21:9 monitors? The main reason i play Live for MP and use 3 mostly just for DeFRaG is the UI is piss poor all stretched out. I tried a couple source ports, hoping for some GZDOOM tier modernizations, and found none.

Андрей, со всеми решейдами разобрался и понял уже как через сложения различных эффектов пересветить картинку, сложив различные каналы типа эмбент оклюжена и добавить отражения. Проблем только в том, что по гайдам тот же оклюжен обычно в Директ3д заботает, а решейд в ку3 у меня запускается только в OpenGL, в Директ3Д старом и ново и в Вулкане не работает. Амбиент оклюжен через различные шейдеры показывает какие-то артефакты. Как блин побороть - не пойму пока. Видеокарта 980ti, хз почему.
It looks like its using real time shadows and lighting and releflections with bump mapping thats not features quake 3s engine can do O_O this has to be a conversion to ID tech 4 right? lol I converted Quake 3 maps in to doom 3 before with GDK radiant and it looks just like this lol

As nice as this looks, I always played Q3 on the worst possible potato settings since you need to be able to discern movement more than detail in order not to suck at it.
This literally destroys the essence of the game. Not having 100% discernement of where enemies are when they move and jump through fog and gibs and explosions is also a part of what makes quake 3, well, quake 3. If that is the case, might just just keep the physics and gameplay essentials, AND THEN replace textures with simple grey surfaces, turn off **all** weapon effects, have bots spawns as shinning fluorescent spheres, and have engagements with the enemy be based around aiming vectors at each other.
@@gorofujita5767 I totally see the point you're making, I also play on potato settings in OSP and RA3. I think a purpose for these graphics mods would be in moviemaking.

this reshade doesn't look like it at all, also there's like four presets of it (btw yeah I know that it's not ONLY reshade, duh, but I got the whole thing - neural upscale, berserker, lightmaps etc. and it still doesn't look like it in the game)

Not so sure about the darkness and the shininess of the floors, but glad to see the famous id Tech 3 shaders are preserved.
Last I ever tried to make .mdls was in milkshape. I wonder how far a custom model could also be pushed and what performance you get.
Could you upload the game with those mods already loaded or make a video tutorial on how to install them?
A little to dark for multiplayer
Just get a mod to make one of the skins brighter then use the command in the console to make all enemies that skin.
With the bump mapping and the pitch black dark areas it has became Quake 3/4 and Doom 3 1/4!!

What it also needs is soft shadows. A fake way I found for Doom3 Alpha was to add multiple lights instead one with slight distance between them.

Flexible HUD Mod for ioq3 and instead of ioq3 you use quake3e that has also vulkan support, also baseq3a to fix the UI

Kinda seems like a downgrade. Shadows are too sharp and don't seem to have bounce lighting, also I can't see anything because of the HDR.
