Omg, you just continue to post music I was sure that only I am listening to😄 Just perfect musical taste! Volkmann is such an underrated composer! His music is so fresh, intriguing and really beautiful! I really love the first Serenade, but his third Serenade is a musical miracle. Thank you!

Cesar Cui compared Tchaikovsky with Raff and Volkmann at the very beginning of Tchaikovsky's career ;)
... but he compared Tchaikovsky not in a good way, but in the fact that Tchaikovsky, in Cui's opinion, wrote at that time the same uninteresting and routine music (!!!!!) as German 'conservators' :)))
... You see, in 1860-80s even Brahms was considered in Russia as 'boring'....
Anyway, I like this music
