I have my first batch of eggs in my incubator following this tutorial. It's working great! Today is technically hatch day but could possibly be Tues. The farmers I got the eggs off od wasn't completely sure about hatch date. I recommend if anyone makes this incubator to use an adhesive such as E6000 along with the hot melt glue. My too piece for the light bulb goes got to hot and released the hot glue. I added E6000 to the hot glue and reset the bulb. No more trouble since!
Wow...Good All The Best
What type of bulb did you use I used a 40W and it still wasn’t warm enough
how did it turn out?
Translate to Tagalog I need to understand the feedback of this DIY incubator.
Did it work?
Wow. So much people unpleased by "no hatching" and demanding something extra. Not even a "thank you" for him trying to make a tutorial.
Thank you. I don't plan to have a hatcher anytime soon, but this was interesting. I now have a basic concept of what's needed and I'll try to improve on your idea.
Thank You So Much My Friend....All The Best Hopefully You Will Get Success
@@YoucandothisChannel stupid idiot. who would watcha stupid tutorila if it didn't work
Thank you in jesus name for how
You took time step by step in DIY
Incubator turorial ❤️🙏🏽🦋
This warm-hearted person took care of these chick eggs as much as my school took care of our 6 chick eggs. 🐣♥
Thank You So Much My Friend For Feedback
Today i am going to stars first batch of hatching following this trick..I hops so I am going to succeed ..inshallah
Let us know if it succeeds ok😊
Yeah let us Know if it works
I only comment due to total of comments was on 666 so now it's on 667. Had to get it off that number. Great incubator idea btw

@@YoucandothisChannel your welcome
@@YoucandothisChannel i have two questions where can you find rice husk and where did you also find the 15 watts bulb with plug?
Wow you got everyone laughing 🤪
Thanks for your thoughtfulness.
This is my first time doing this so I was wondering, is the temperature and humidity meter usually expensive?
No it Is Very Available at Low Price Visit Below Link

@@YoucandothisChannel Is one with a clock necessary? I already have a hygrometer I got for my reptiles but it doesn’t have a clock.
The chick is cute. The chicks hatch well because they are good at making hatching machines.🥰
Thanks for the video.
I made one for my children.
Used broken rice for bedding.
The light used was 25w ES miniature frosted candle style lamp.
Had trouble getting to temp. so insulated the top with two sheets of kitchen paper. Got it up to temp. and no thermostat required. Ambient temperature is 27-30°C
Hatched two healthy chicks.
Have no access to a hygrometer so incubator humidity is unknown. Ambient humidity here is always 70 to 80%.
How do I lower humidity inside the incubator?
Second batch due 21/11/2020.
Wow Thats Great.....But Humidity 70% - 80% Too Much For Chicken Eggs In initial Days Of Incubation......Kept Open The Door For Decreasing Humidity There Is No Other Way OR Kept Less Water Inside The Incubator OR Remove Water Bowl From Incubator Till Humidity Reaches Normal.....All The Best
@@YoucandothisChannel
Thanks for the reply,
The humidity outside the incubator today is 81% according to the weather service.
The first time I didn't put water inside until day 18.
Most of the eggs had very small air sacks when candled so humidity must have been too high. I left the vent open after candling on day 7.
The system stayed on temperature but the light was on 24/7 without a thermostat so with the door open it won't get up to temperature.
The second batch was a total failure mainly due to lengthy power outages and the replacement lamp giving too much radiant heat.
I'm going to try rotating the incubator 45° to try and get convection air currents happening inside and baffles over the replacement lamp ( 25w oven lamp) to stop radiant heat cooking the eggs. The temperature was still ok but some of the eggs were very hot to touch.
Getting the humidity down inside the incubator is still a problem.
I'll let you know if the changes help.
Douglas.
How did you work it out without a thermostat? sorry its just that this is my first time doing something like this.
@@YoucandothisChannel Can you send me link to the water can
Thanks for your tutorial mate... Will try this since its now raining season in my country and my ducks cant take care of her eggs alone, thanks man
Thank you for your time and effort sharing this. I'm going to build one this week.
Did it work
Very beautiful. Thank you!🤗🤗
Thank You So Much My Friend
For some reason this looks like it really works. Im starting quails and i dont feel like paying for them every time i want more. I will try and i will give you feed back. THANK YOU!!! 👍
I don't have a lot of money to buy an incubator so why not try this one cause its easy and more relevant. ill try three eggs just to see if it will work, if it does, I'll comment down below again... love your tutorial and can't wait to make one...
i only have one question? What is that red thing around the round thing, I don't know what u call it...
For me, there is one piece of equipment is missing which is the thermostat, it will automatically turn off the ligth if the temp reach over more than the set temp to prevent constant rising of heat in order to avoid eggs of being cooked.
Yes My Friend For Automatic Control We Need W1209 Thermostat
i did same thing
I got same result Thanks
Ohhh Congratulations My Friend
У нас уже давно такие делают. Дёшево, но работает на ура. С меня лайк.

Question: Do store bought eggs still hatch? I want a chickie so much!
No they have to be fertilized by a rooster
Watch till the end
No, get some eggs from a farm. Store eggs are stored at very low temperatures so they die.
Where do you live at? In USA, you can walk up any farm and saying you want a baby chick, they probably cost up to $2. In some store they are selling $5-15. I have been in chicken backyard page on Facebook 🥲 but my husband said no no no 😂 he think chickens will attacked all kind of predators, and we have small children, too. So be sure checking your city’s law and your home association and your family, too. Before starting. Keep in mines, they are living things, they could get sick. Not all about cute and eating eggs. I still think they are so worth it 😄 may be one day we will have some. Good luck 😘😆
@@khonthainaidc I live in plain western London, it's a bit hard to find live chicks here

Thanks for the video sir
Most welcome
me and my two younger siblings took a egg from our refrigerator, without our parents knowing (that’s the excitement, lol this is my second time trying but their first) i usually keep it on the light in the bathroom so it stays warm that’s where our egg that my siblings named “nugget” currently is..but i’m gonna really try to make nugget come into existence and make an incubator lol
Parabéns nota 10
Could a thermostat has been set to maintain temperature as required. Otherwise you have simply made a good incubator
Thanks for sharing. I have one question. Do you wash the eggs before put it in for hatching? My hen likes to lay eggs in my garden bed versus in her chicken house, so the eggs can be dirty at times. Thanks again.
If Eggs Are Dirty Then Clean Them....Otherwise Kept as it is in Egg Incubator For Hatching......But Eggs Must Be 1 Day old and Not More than 12 Days Old For Better Result....All The Best
@@YoucandothisChannel great! Thank you for your resppnd. Have a bless day!
It’s best not to wash them. you want to keep the bloom on them for protection against bacteria
What was the red frilly thing around the piece you hit glued for the light to go in. And what is the purpose of the red frilly thing?
emulates the mother chicken's butt - maybe
Wow
I like your idea😁😁😁
Thank You So Much
(PLEASE REPLY ME IMMEDIATELY!!)
Can I use Saw Dust instead of the thing that you used for bedding
Yes!
Just be careful of starting a fire if the lightbulb falls
Good idea love the chick
Thank You So Much
I have sad news today! I'm on a day 27 and nothing hatched! Time to discard... i was really hoping this worked for me.
Thanks for the project though!
Ohhh Very Sad......Why Don't You Candle The Eggs......You May Have Get an Idea Chicks Start Developing OR Not.......Candle The Eggs Between 5th - 7th Day If Chicks Starts Developing Then Continue Otherwise It's Waste Of Time.....All The Best For Next Time.....Click Below Link For Candling Eggs
ruclips.net/video/n0cIGwsA2kE/видео.html
Adell Williams Did you candle them to see if they were developing properly?
You were supposed to check the egg a few days later after you put the egg in the incubator. After a few days in the incubator check the egg to see if it has life. Use a flashlight under the egg to see if it has life or the water trick. You don't just put an egg and don't check it at all.
I'm confused. After how much time should we feed if one r two eggs are hatched? Can we take them out and feed with hands?
Baby Chicks Feed Themself & No Need To Feed With Hands..... You Have To Provide Food & Water (Baby Chicks Can Start Eating 12-15 Hours After They Hatch)
@Hiwa Khorsed ?????
One question do I need to put it outside or inside cuz I live in a apartment and I don't have a blacony
Can we use anything soft instead of Rice husk?? SIR please Reply...
You Can Use Cotton Cloth,Dry Grass,Old News Papers,Wood Dust etc Instead of Rice Husk
super
i made my own incubator
1: get a 2l pepsi bottle
2: cut the middle one but go a little bit down
3: put rice husks (i putted paper towels)
4: make a door of it
5: tape the the door entry one left and right
6: and put a small light in it
Hope it works

Yes My Friend 100% Work.....Just Maintain Proper Temperature (Between 37°C - 39°C)
Can wood shavings be used instead of the rice husks ?
Yes You Can Use That....You May Also Use Cotton Cloth,News Papers,Dry Grass etc Instead Of Rice Husk...All The Best
While current is gone for half an hour is it affect?
It is ok having moisture inside?
Nice
Thank You So Much
Lovely
Do we have to collect all the eggs from the hen and then put under the hen? Please Answer.
You Mean Collect The Eggs From Hen Put It Under Incubator.....Then Yes....Stored The Eggs for 1-2 Days (In Any Box/Pot etc) Then Put It Inside Incubator....Don't Put The Eggs On The Same Day In Which Hen Lays The Egg (Wait 1-2 Days) Hatching Rate Is Very Low In First Day Eggs
Points To Be Read Below
1.Eggs Need Temperature Between 37°C-39°C to Hatch And Rotate Them atleast Twice a Day Till 18th Day
2.Use Fresh (2-12 Days Old) Fertile Eggs (Pet Hen's Eggs/Backyard Chickens Egg)....Market/Shop Eggs Won't Hatch Because They Are Mostly Infertile Hence Didn't Hatch
3.If Temperature More Than 41°C Eggs Will Spoil and If Chicks Starts Developing They May Died Inside The Eggs So Better To Maintain Temperature Between (37°C-39°C)
Chicken Eggs Will Take 21 Days To Hatch Some Times Hatch Between 19-24 Days
ALL THE BEST
Superrr 👍👍👍👌👌👌🐣🐣🐣
Thank You So Much
I used ball point pen to mark my eggs then i learnt that it might be harmful later. Will the eggs still hatch?

hi
Does it matter the time you turn them three times daily or like can it be like 3 hours apart Nd after the third time just leave them alone?
It Is Better To Follow Time But 1,2 Hours Less OR More Not a Problem At All.....We Rotates The Eggs Because Warmness (Temperature) Reach All Parts Of The Eggs And Hence Developing Chickens Born Healthy With Out Any Defects...........You Can Rotate Daily 3-4 Times But If You Forgot To Turn Didn't Cause Any Damage It's Absolutely Ok....Hope You Understand....Thank You
Oh ok thank you I really appreciate it
what eggs did you put there ???or just normal?? please

maximum 7 days gamuchirai, for best results

Sir how many days when the egg is just a first day. And can we put already to the incubator?
Eggs Must Be Between 2-12 Days Old .....First Day Egg Don't Put....Let It Be 1-2 Days Old....And Kept In Incubator.....Chicken Eggs Take 21 Days To Hatch
Must Maintain Temperature 37°C - 41°C & Humidity 45% - 60% and Turn The Eggs Daily 3 Times (Once In Every 8 Hours ) Till First 18 Days For Best Results......All The Best Thank You

Kuya can I ask you something If it okay to use any bulb in making incubator
You Can Use Any Bulb Which Produces Heat...LED Bulbs Won't Produce Heat Hence Don't Use LED
what can i use for like the "bedding" i dont have any rice huskk at home is there anything i could substitute it with?
You Can Use Dry Grass or Cotton Cloth or Waste News Papers Instead Of Rice Husk......All The Best Sir
You could also use something like fine wood clippings or corn fiber
I'm using kitchen roll right now and it's working great!! Good luck!!
Will the eggs hatch without the humidity and temperature meter?
