Nice heli there Tim, started off on a 450 heli myself, now have the 50 sized nitro bird (and would LOVE a big old scale gasser and/or 90 size nitro one day). I'll tell you man, these things are more addictive than crack - though are a lot more 'positive' of a habit to have! All it took for me was that first flight where you understand that you will be able to get the better of them, and that it, all over rover!
Drat! At first I thought you had a 450 x to review. Some have commented why eflite & not a clone. The advantage of the Blade line is that many LHS keep a good stock of parts. If you break something you can stop at the LHS on the way home and be back in the air the next day. My LHS has a few align parts but they have all Blade parts instock. Support your LHS!
Flying a helicopter is generally the same as flying a plane unless you start to go backwards. Then it gets really tricky. But the hardest is when you go inverted and start to use your collective channel. I tried that with my E-flite Blade 400 way back in 2008 and crashed it. I was really mad so I quit flying helicopters and switched to planes haha. I really think that I should get back into helicopters but I'm not sure. Cheers from Calgary Gus
@saltcritters. That sucks. That's why it's important to support your LHS before it closes. Mind you, I do use mail order. However, I do try to by local when I can. For a new person in the hobby a LHS can be invaluable source if knowledge.
Nice chopper but outrageous price. I bought a rtf 450 sized chopper with all aluminum and carbon fiber parts and a fiberglass canopy with radio, battery, and charger for $209 from xheli
@TinkerManRC Thanks Tim, I'd have a better channel to visit if my wife had not gotten sick of filming me and my toys .... thus the cupboard has been a little bare of late re new posts from myself (or should I say the last year or two). That said, I'm thinking about doing a build video of the H9 P51 with the DLE20 when I get onto that project next month, I find that the build videos on that plane are limited (yourself excluded!).
@SaltCritters There are several helicopters to choose from, all in different price ranges. It’s just a matter of personal choice. Thanks for your input and comment..Tim
@n7hww LOL The LHS is over an hour and a half away from me. I think id rather spend less that half on a better chopper and just order a bunch of spare parts when i order it. Still would be cheaper. Hell you could buy two choppers for the price of this one.
When you do the Flight Review, I wanna see loops, rolls, hammer heads, pyros, flips and more! LOL! Awesome again, but you broke the rule again man! You didnt give me a heads up before you did this video man! Im supposed to know about all aircraft before you film or fly it! I don't like finding out about new aircraft from RUclips! LOL!!! VIDEOS!!!!! LOL!!!! ~~Robert... Thumbs up!
@RCRedBaron Robrert How goes it man, Well I will just send it down to you and you can do all the trick stuff for me..LOL LOL I will man in text, Thanks again for your support I kinda needed it on this one.. Sweet..Tim
@TinkerManRC : Maybe if you have time tonight, Shoot me a text and I'll call ya to catch up! Its going to be another long day at the field as our club is hosting a Boy Scout Rocket Firing Badge expo for the kids. I sent you a bunch of the pictures from today (Saturday). Anyway, talk to you Later, Sunday Night. ~~Robert.
