As an 80’s teenager…. The higher the poof the closer to God look 👀 .. 😂😂😂 … we all mastered it who grew up in that era. You could say that hairstyle was like our “Marie Antoinette “ moment 😂😂😂❤❤❤❤. It took me forever to wear my hair without so much volume …. And AQUANET !!!! 😂😂😂😂
The coolest, meanest girl in school UNLESS you were gay in which case she would go to war to defend you, because she has “an uncle who lives in San Francisco with his long term roommate”.
My cousins hair must've been about 7-8 inches high. I myself back in 1991 I remember doing the little wave, buying hairspray from our corner store and when I was out I used sugar water.
I'm not an 80s teenager but my mom was and when i was younger because I'm the only one of my siblings who'd let my mom style me up fully i got to experience what it was like wearing styles from back in the 80s tbh I loved the feeling i still incorporate them in my daily outfits especially the hairstyles, they're difficult to do so i only do them like once a month or two 😂❤
I was lucky because my hair was naturally curly. I just had to wash it, run some mouse through it and let it dry to achieve those curls. I didn't do the big bangs because I thought they looked stupid and I was too lazy to actually bother to style my hair. Closest I came to that was using a big banana clip.
As an 80's girl, I can say the thing was the bigger the hair the better! Some girls got perms but if you were like me, my mom couldn't afford to pay for a perm so rag curls and curling irons were .y best friend! And I think Christmas 1988 I got a set of Conair button rollers(hot rollers just like ones I've seen you use!!) But by 1990 I was finding my goth/grunge style and my poor rollers sat unused until my mom gave them to salvation army. I wish desperately that my mom would have kept some of my old stuff like that 😢😢
Oh doll, this is the hairstyle of my late friend Pam. In the 80s she was a vision with this hair, full makeup, and spike heels! The glamour was off the charts!
The only negative I have at all is that the fringe was curled back, then backcombed. I miss banana clips, they made the hair even bigger as well as an instant facelift! 😂 You were also highly flammable!
LOL a bit over the top, but yes, I guess not too far from Twisted Sister! In high school there were no hair pieces. not a lot of curling irons or rollers. There were the occasional crimping iron, but mostly perms for those who wanted curl or wave. A perm was considered expensive, and they could get various type of wave and curl. Highlights were highly regarded. Most common styling products were the hair dryer, combs and brushes; teasing was the major technique along with hair spray and clever use of them. A wet look was desirable too, so a hair gel that gave it, ideal for those with a more neat perm look. For volume, styling foam and as mentioned hair spray.
yeah this is for girls with naturally straight hair , because if i brush out after curling my hair (after straightening it of course lol) those curls STAY. they do not flatten out like that, hooollllyy
We didn't use a curling iron to get those ringlets, thats 100% bad 80s root perm. We also didn't have volume and texture spray, we used Aqua Net and so much of it there was a 50/50 chance of spontaneous combustion. If you're gonna try to replicate the 80s at least get it right
I love ya to death but as a curly haired girl I gotta ask you to please try a wide tooth comb or pick on your curls instead of a brush. You won't be disappointed. 💜
Usually yes, but that was the eighty's look, you would intentionally brush out curls to create volume, you're not going for curly hair, it's just an alternate to teasing your hair every day... Instead, you do the curls, you brush out the curls, and then you only have to do some light teasing
You call those bangs? Aa Whatever dude, like you furesure need to get some real hairspray in there if you wanna play with the cool kids. You need at least another 3” on those bangs to even hang with us! Mine are literally 6” of my head!
That hairstyle just called me a "husky girl" and dropped ciggie ash on my emerald green stirrup pants
Okay u get it
😂😂😂 I miss those stirrup pants. 😂
the John Travolta, Tracy Turnblads mother voice was PERFECTION just like that hair 😉
Hahaha 😉
Twisted Sister..
Finally someone got the bangs right 😂
That was actually impressive! Like, very Kelly Bundy swooshed.
🥰
The 80s were perms. And that's why we had big hair because of the perm. I love the 80s hair, bring it back so cute.
My mom would say my hair looks like a rats nest🤣
😄 Fer shure..gag me with a spoon. I just can't. YA NAILED IT!!
Oh my God, TOTALLY!!!
It’s giving Dee Snyder And I love it! 😂😂 Rock on!!🤘

The coolest, meanest girl in school UNLESS you were gay in which case she would go to war to defend you, because she has “an uncle who lives in San Francisco with his long term roommate”.

You really nailed it!
I'm having hair PTSD flash backs of doing piggy back perms all day long.
Thank you for your service 🫡
Yes!!!! And how heavy all those rollers were. I swear my head weighed twice as much.
I was lucky because my hair was naturally curly. I just had to wash it, run some mouse through it and let it dry to achieve those curls. Those hair pieces are to die for I need them like yesterday.
My mom did those bangs till 2013 when she passed away. She had a long pony and those bangs
💖💖💖
I like that hair
Damn bro you look good in long blonde hair.
🥹
That wig was everything ughhh
🥰
10/10 you should do a Glamour Shots style photo shoot with this look!! Chef's kiss 💋 😘 😂
Fantastic!!
🥰
Im loving all this new content 💫 so fun seeing all your creative ideas
🥰🥰🥰🥰
Try living in a humid climate and pulling off an 80’s tease-it-out hair. I achieved it! 😂
I must be toxic because I unironically love this hair 😂
Oh doll, this is the hairstyle of my late friend Pam. In the 80s she was a vision with this hair, full makeup, and spike heels! The glamour was off the charts!
It's giving "Twisted Sister!" 🎸😆😂😂
Okay you're pretty awesome I started doing hair in the '80s so I'm totally digging this video
Like TOTALLY!!!❤
You look like Dee Snider of Twisted Sister, a band from then. I was a metal head back then, our hair was messy and no where near as fluffy.
It’s def giving Dee
I love this look so much actually 💖💖
We didn't have hair pieces. We only had our own hair and aquanet
Well, I’ve met a few ppl back in the day who didn’t have a budget for Aquanet, so they would used sugared water!
That was my first thought we didn't have hair pieces. We used our own hair and aqua net and perms.
Dolly would approve 😊
Nailed Dee Snider's hairstyle!!!
Crunchy origami explains my 80’s hair perfectly 😂
I graduated HS in 1988 and the last line cracked me up!
I need those japanese wigs pronto
🥰
“Crunchy origami” omg where’s my inhaler😂
You recreated my moms hair from 1989-1992. Same color too
This took a hard turn into TWISTED SISTER vibes at the end.
I'm not joking when I say this is my DREAM HAIR
Loved my 80’s hair!
Bigger the hair, closer to God! 😵💫🤣🤣
I grow up in the 80's 😂best era for girls with curls
The only negative I have at all is that the fringe was curled back, then backcombed. I miss banana clips, they made the hair even bigger as well as an instant facelift! 😂 You were also highly flammable!
Rave hairspray got that bang wave to stand up straight, bend on the ends and hold all day baby!!! wtf were we thinking????😂😂😂
LOL a bit over the top, but yes, I guess not too far from Twisted Sister!

I wish i was alive in the 80s i would have LOVED IT. Luckily my state and town always looks 80s-ish lmao
My hair slayed. It was one of those daily math questions 😂😂
Totally rad, dude!
🎸🎸🎸🎸
I used Paul Mitchell Freeze and Shine. They changed the formula in 90 or 91 and it was never the same. Smelled like watermelon!
My hair back in the 80s was like the second pic, the brunette but i never did those complete funky bangs. lol
A v-cut on your also can help with the bangs and the height
Okay, I tried to make my hair look like that but w 1 curling iron & Aussie Scrunch Spray I missed!
If I could only have back the hundreds of hours I spent in front of the mirror teasing my bangs😂
Ngl my dad had hair like that in the 80s in the exact same blonde 😂
Kids bullying kids with difficult home lives is too real, even to this day 😢
I think I saw you dancing on the hood of a Pontiac Firebird in a Whitesnake video.
I wish it had been that easy
😂 my sister in law still wears her hair like this
Nailed it! Why on earth did we think this was attractive😂
I unfortunately could never get my hair to stay that high. And the amount of Aqua Net that I needed would’ve destroyed the ozone layer by myself!😹
We didn’t have hair pieces, just perms and Aqua net and soften those bangs!!!
This is terrifying. Back-then, these people were also terrifying. Punk Rock here.
You're choice man
yeah this is for girls with naturally straight hair , because if i brush out after curling my hair (after straightening it of course lol) those curls STAY. they do not flatten out like that, hooollllyy
I call those bangs "The Claw"
Crunchy origami 🤣 wig is giving Tina Yothers and Dee Snider
I miss Orange Julius. Hahaha
I had hair like that 😅
80's glamor shots
Very that
I did them my bangs like that in the 90s

Are you always so pleasant? 😂🤣🤣
You got that right!
We all had difficult home lives
Period!
This is Dee Snyder from Twisted Sister! Maybe no so much hair? 😅
I think the Karen is the “do” to make fun of! Short and spikey in the back with slicked down bangs with chunky high lights!
Miss Jane Lou
No girl, the top half of the bags curl backwards.
I wore this hair. lol
Uh we wore that to more than the mall. You should see my high school pictures.
Damn!!!😂😂😂
A little more makeup and you'd be the lead singer of Quiet Riot!
hot looks salon anyone? 😂
NY 80s girl. Never had high hair. That was only if toy were from staten island
Struggling to do a hair flick, 80s 😅
I love ya to death but as a curly haired girl I gotta ask you to please try a wide tooth comb or pick on your curls instead of a brush. You won't be disappointed. 💜

Connect the “real hair” to the hair pieces?
Somehow, this reminds me of Q and “this is my real hair!”
lol yep haha
I'd hate to have to brush my hair after all that teasing every day..
A delorian 😂😂😂
No no no. We didn't do it that way
😂😂
You call those bangs? Aa Whatever dude, like you furesure need to get some real hairspray in there if you wanna play with the cool kids. You need at least another 3” on those bangs to even hang with us! Mine are literally 6” of my head!
Haha
My 80s hair had bigger bangs. Not sure has enuff. Nice try😂
