- In this tutorial, I show you how I was inspired by the scenery of the Utah desert and landscape. This design has a lot of meaning to me because it was a trip we took for our 20th anniversary. And it was absolutely beautiful! I hope you enjoy! And tell me which version you like better:)

Normally I would say more flowers but I think in this one the less is more. I find it makes me think more of the desert. Beautiful My favorite cakes are inspired by geology.

I understand why your husband said the less flowers. It shows your inspirations from the beginning. The colors of those rocks, the few flowers you saw. It was the scene of Utah.

Another fabulous cake. Here in Australia there are areas of desert that look very similar.
I’d go for the sprinkled flowers - but just a little more of them.

I love hearing that:) I typically use Satin Ice because it is so readily available and fairly workable. I do prefer LMF fondant, but buying pre-made is such a time saver;)
Personally, one has too much flowers, and the other has too little…so I would prefer somewhere in the middle, honestly…
