The third round probably went a little stray because it got damaged when it jumped out of the mag and got busted into the receiver. OUTSTANDING hand load Tim.
I've been handloading the Sierra BlitzKing for many years & find them to be an outstanding bullet. Accurate & explosive on varmints & coyotes. Work well in .222, .223, & 22-250 for me. Can't ask more of a load than one that gives half MOA groups & delivers a devastating hit when it gets there. Shoutout to Tim for a job well done. And good shooting WTW. 👍
@@masondick4851 normally, like 98% of other scenarios it wouldn’t be, but since the other rounds basically hit same hole & that one didn’t, by definition it’s a flyer. Lol.
Groups like that can really put a smile on a rifleman's face. I shoot Sierra Blitzkings out of my 788 in .222 Remington, and get similar performance. It really likes H-4198 powder with Sierra bullets and CCI primers.
I bought my Rem 222 788 new in 72’. Always used IMR 4198 and Sierra Blitz back in the day. CanJar Trigger and Lee Six Glass stock. Rifle turns 50 this year. Could shoot dimes all day long with a 10x Lyman All American on top. Also have a 788 in 22-250 with less 100 rounds thru it. Had it for years and haven’t pulled the trigger on it. It is bedded with an 8x24 scope too. Should work well. I was hoping to see what powder used in the video.
That's the reason I handload for all my rifles. It's truly amazing, with due diligence and great patience, the accuracy one can wring out of dedicated handloads for a particular rifle (or handgun). Nicely done, and hats off to you and your buddy Tim!
That first shot had me saying “wow!” out loud. Lol. I think my heart rate increased about 50 bpm after seeing the next 4 shots. INCREDIBLE group! Awesome video!!!!! 🎯 🇺🇸
Now that was wicked accuracy right there! I'm usually pretty happy with 1 moa, which most of my rifles with ammo combination is around 1.5 moa. Makes me wanna reload for my 243 and see if I can squeeze some tighter groups out of it.
You should try out winchester deer season xp, on a bad day I get .75moa with em (a bad day for me that is, as I'm not doing my best), my best with em is .25moa, only managed that once tho, maybe your rifles will like them as well, plus they're affordable and perform very well on game
That's a fantastic pattern from an untested load to match the characteristics of a particular rifle! Great shooting as well. I also was not aware of that CVS rifle? I'd better check that out too!
@@timr9180Tim, I need that recipe! Lol! Just purchased a CVA varmit hunter bolt action rifle in 22-.250. Any hand load advice would be appreciated! Great job!
Excellent group! I'm so glad my Dad taught me how to hand load, and now I have all the equipment to do it. I really enjoyed the video! I need to get out there the range when it finally cools off! Lol
Great 22-250 video. Can you mention the load that your friend used in his 22-250 reloads that he gave you? I’m interested in the powder used in the reloads. The powder I have used For years is IMR 4064. So if there is a better powder for 22-250 reloads please let me know. Thank you for your time.
This one is faster than the road runner, a great coyote caliber. Very accurate and got the buggy too, with hand loads this will be fast and fun to shoot. Good shooting and gods speed to the WTW FAMILY AND FANS. 👍🇺🇸
Well now that was a interesting video and a fantastic reload. Not likely you could ever get any better round and those handloads. It would be interesting to know just what his recipe was on those 22 250 handloads.
Ah sierra blitzkings good choice who tee who, sako uses these bullets in their factory ammo gamehead varmint brand, looking forward to another good vid wtw
Loved it shocked simply shocked big giant question did you have any work done to the rifle I mean you kept mentioning the trigger did you have any work done to the trigger you said the trigger was fantastic but did you have worked under the trigger is it 3 pounds and less did you have work done to the barrel is the class beaded stock you know that kind of thing did you is it a heavy barrel that is the grouping is just astounding you don't see that unless it's it's a specialty rifle I'm just amazed could you give more insight into the rifle until the fine details of the rifle I know you mentioned the scope and everything and the company went out of business I'm not familiar with the company at all but I haven't kept up with that kind of thing thank you once again it's fantastic.
In about 1968-69 my dad bought a FN large ring 98 Mauser action from Herters Company. To that he put on Douglas premium grade #5 26" barrel. Later after dad died I toped it with a 4 x14 x 40 Nikon scope. After many reloads it shot best with 38grs of H380 and a Sierra 55gr Spire point boattal bullit. I got 3 shot groups that looked like a 3 leaf clover inside a 1/2" diameter circle at 100yrs. He would have been proud.
Sorry I must have missed it but how many grains of what powder also what twist rate is your rifle. I'm getting ready to reload some 22-250 and would like to give it a try. Thanks for your time RCW
The third round probably went a little stray because it got damaged when it jumped out of the mag and got busted into the receiver. OUTSTANDING hand load Tim.
I was just thinking that.
Was about to comment the same thing!
Yeah that tip def got bent a bit.
I think I've worked out Tim's recipe, I'm getting the same accuracy in a Howa 1500 Varmint. 37.5gr of H414 seated to 2.4" with a CCI primer.
@@practicalnottactical what brass? Mine is a Weatherby Vanguard varmint special. made by Howa. should be similar accuracy.
CVA needs to see this. WTW makes the team and so does Tim. Outstanding.

Tim R...where you located? I need some of these for my Cascade!
WTW: That's good shootin..... Tim: Your quite a friend. Good loads...
That's cool Tim !!!!
That's the goal for a hand loader. To me that's what makes it fun/worthwhile. Same hole groups are more fun.
Absolutely!!!
Dang! Even with that flyer that’s an incredible group.
Wish my “flyers” were a half moa off 😂
😆 🤣 😂
Not sure I can even call that a flyer 😂
@@masondick4851 normally, like 98% of other scenarios it wouldn’t be, but since the other rounds basically hit same hole & that one didn’t, by definition it’s a flyer. Lol.
I didn't know cva made bolt action rifles, I thought they were all breach loaders. Thank you for teaching me something new. Great video, by the way.
Now owned and made by Bergara. The Cascade is half price Bergara that shots awesome.
As you said it, I did too, " those were the best shots and best group I've seen you shoot this year."
God one!

From a HOME Town fellow: Remington's Custom Shop 22-250 load for accuracy " 33gn IMR 3031 and Seirra 52 gn Match" They GO THROUGH A SINGLE HOLE !!!
It doesn't get much better than that👌👌 That's super impressive , now you have no excuse if you miss an animal 😉👍👍
If there was ever a video in support of buying a CVA Cascade it’s this one. I’d be happy with that rifle and some match rounds.
Cva guns are great. Triggers are very nice
James Christy that’s the point I was making. I would be happy with that rifle and any kind of ammo let a lone special hand loads.
You might want to purchase some more from Tim. Amazing group
Very nice! I have wanted a 22-250 for many years. Now I have to get one!
Tim is the man, who-tee-who has the plan....Great shooting I know you were so excited to get those results you should have danced around. 🤣😂😆
22-250 is probably my favorite caliber
Awesome group. Love the 22/250! Thanks for sharing!
Ohh yeahhh! I’m going to catch this one for sure! I hope you post the load data for the round and twist rate of the rifle.
I would like to know also. I have a 22-250. Love to learn what brass and powder load?
Nicely done vid.
I like the split screen where you see you shooting and the target also.
What a Gorgeous Rifle and one awesome group your getting to be Sniper qualified 👍🔥🦅

I think you need to set up some shade! Also start reloading your own, neck sized to fit your rifle etc then see how accurate they are.
