The animation and art style looks gorgeous. I'm glad it's not entirely CG like the recent movie. I used to think DBS Broly Movie had the best Dragon Ball art direction. But I think Daima hits the perfect balance between classic and modern style. I also like that they actually acknowledged the existence of GT, even if its not entirely canon in the series.
I'm not sure about the whole turning back into kids thing though. But if this series takes the franchise back to its original 1980s Dragon Ball adventure-themed roots, then by all means DO IT Toei. DBZ is great, but DB has way more heart put into its storytelling.

I personally would have pushed the timeline forward enough to where Goku and Vegeta are dead, Gohan is too old to fight, and Trunks, Goten's, and Pan's children go off on an adventure.
It's made for younger generations, If I was a dad I would make sure they watch it.

Another android antagonist who needs to fuse with another one of gero creations to make itself stronger. And look let’s bring back some movie villains and Z arc villains for a cameo. And the last arc is not so bad. You got a bunch of villains. Most of which are fodder for Goku. And the last villain gives them a decent challenge and lets hope he doesn’t obtain an even more powerful transformation to give the Mc more of a challenge. And let’s hope the Mc and his rival doesn’t try to fuse into a stronger being as a way to turn the tide of battle only to end up defusing before a critical victory can be won. And a genki dama is the last resort to vanquish the threat to the universe once and for all. Because that has never ever been done before in this franchise. No sir
@@QP9237 you were wrong on Vegeta part he was literally cursing goku for half of gt even though it take post end of z which is weird for his character while super does in BTW buy and eoz. Super Highs are way better than gt because of they focused on Techniques as well and how great they did with Broly and Moro saga was way better than any gt arc TBH.

I know 90% of the fanbase isn't happy (source: trust me bro) . But as a fan who fell out of love of Dragon Ball since BoG, I welcome anything DB that isn't the main continuation of Super. I am skeptical about the whole GT shtick, but at this point - I'd rather give this a try than anything the manga is dishing out currently.

For years I've been waiting for Dragon Ball Super Season 2 so they could introduce Vegeta's Ultra Ego Power and Frieza's Frieza Black Power. I was really hoping to seeing Broly's first team up fight with Goku and Vegeta against all the new villains and this is what they give us.
My disappointment is immeasurable and my hope is gone

I dont know why people keep comparing this to GT. The artstyle and story lines look nothing like eachother. GT was actually entertaining if you don't compare it to DBZ. The idea of this looks pretty bad but can't say for sure till it comes out.

This isn’t meant for us. Just as we initially fell in love with dragon ball as kids. I think this will gain a whole new generation of dragon ball fans. Our children can now have the same experience as we had back in the 90’s.

Bruh, kids don't care for a show about kids. We grew up on DBZ on Toonami, which involved MEN killing each other in crazy explosive battles. The new and old generation were enjoying Super by the ToP arc. Crazy viewership.

Like the whole OG73 android being taken by the heeters. I definitely thought he would be utilized bc he has meerus' powers copy and stored. But he never was used.
Ive told my self it would be cool if frieza had gotten ahold of him without the heeters knowing and rebuilt him and used him as a sparing partner in the hyperbolic time chamber that he recently was in. But i know that wont be the case haha
Dragon ball daima is just a web series and there will actually be a TV series coming out as well that releases weekly TV episodes so don't lose faith yet

Hopefully they're doing this to explore more of the playful, innocent vibes DragonBall had before Z. I am as excited as the next guy for the next RGB power-up but in hindsight DragonBall was just more cohesive and natural.

If they were gone do they could’ve just focused on the next gen like maybe a series focused solely on pan uub trunks goten and maybe introduce us to some new char maybe buu makes a kid but they pink like him and we just watch them go on their own adventures and have their own battles but keep Goku and the main crew the same damn age just feels like we in a loop with no real direction or logical progression
they didnt need to turn the whole cast into children to do that, just write a better story

Dragon ball should end in a final battle with black Freeza. With UI Goku, Orange Piccolo, BM Gohan, and UE Vegeta. Krillin Hits freezer with the destructo disc slicing in half and then everyone except for piccolo. Blasts him with ki blasts. Piccolo dies ending the time of dragon balls and Goku is deemed earth guardian.

Looks a lot like one of the things fans have been asking for: more demon content. But it’s odd to be turning Goku into a kid again(even if he’s not the only one this time around)
I think they missed the opportunity to give Roshi prominence
Being old, when he rejuvenates he would be a young adult, which would give him a "power up" since he has a better physique but all the knowledge from his long life as a martial arts master.

Imagine if he'd still be old tho. Like he talks about how "young and spry" he feels, but he literally still looks like Roshi always has. It would be canonical and hysterical.

I'n not a GT fan, but if this is part of a little funny arc I'm completely OK with the concept of everyone being kid for some time. 😄

Animation seems really good so far! Plus they showed Yamcha, so Im happy lolll. Hope the show has good side character development but idk how likey that is. Looks fun. Very excited to give it a chance!
