I would start with a ch of 15 , so you have 14 st(s) to work the waistband , and if you want it even longer , I would start with 17 ch so you have 16 st(s) , that will be double the original the waistband size that's in the video, Ohh she is gonna love it !!

no, you sew it closed or if you like you can add buttons on the back straps :)
