Won Golden Glove Upper Midwest Featherweight Title at age 15, Won National Golden Glove Welterweight Title at 16. Turned pro at 18 . Won first 31 pro fights.
As a young teenager...I saw Pat fight at the old Mary E. Sawyer Auditorium in La Crosse. That was in the late 60s and you could see he had a special talent. In those days...it was all about heart and skill...no showboating or glitz and glamour. What a fun night that was.
