- The Blackie O'Connell Band Friday night at the Corofin Trad Fest. From your left- Cyril O'Donoghue (my apologies to Cyril- when they added another row of seating in front of me, he became the invisible man - heard but not seen), Siobhan Peoples, Blackie O'Connell, and Damien O'Reilly. Tunes are "Mullingar Races", "Mountain Top", and "Lady Gordon's".

Does not get much better than this
Greatest trip of our lives was a trip guided by Tom Pygot to see Irish music. May he Rest In Peace. A favorite stop was the pub in Doolin to see Blackie. Thanks for the great memories. We are coming back to Ireland soon!
We are in the middle of the Fleadh Cheoil na hÉireann in Ennis this week. Blackie was in the Queen's Hotel yesterday with Eoin O'Neill for a smoking session with the place packed.
Come back soon, Ireland is always calling.
