I just found this tutorial! Just beautiful snowflakes😍 I plan to start in time for the holidays.
I love your tutorials! U have such a warm, down to earth way! Thank you for the snowflakes! Now mine look great! And the Scotch magic tape really never tears! Thx for that tip too!
If you have metallic watercolors you can add dots also with the metallic watercolors to make it bling....very interesting and informative video will deftly use this design to send postcards out to family and friends this year I'll just add dorland wax over the postcards before I send them in mail....many art blessing to you and your family....🎨
I love how creative you are.
i love your tutorials! I am painting Christmas cards. I love these snowflakes and your angel tutorial.
👼🥰
Really cute things.
You’re one crazy lady!!! But a great artist. Love the snowflakes.
Very pretty!
Thank you again. These are quick and easy and look lovely.
Absolutely love this Ellen and I love your ramblings btw 😂
I really enjoyed making cards this way. Thank-you! You have really helped make the season special.
Excellent tutorial, love 💘 going to try this. Hopefully it will turn out, being a newbie with watercolors. Thank you for sharing, greatly appreciated.
I'm so glad I found your chanel. I feel like I know you personally you've got the best personality and I love the way you teach I could just listen to your videos everyday thank you
Thank you so much for sharing the knowledge you worked so hard for! It is truly appreciated and your tutorials have helped me gain confidence after major trauma. God Bless you!! x
LOVED the white gouache "snowflakes!" Never thought of a "wet" (LOL) snowflake! I'm a huge fan of Verditer Blue, and only Holbein sells it from my research. Perfect tone for 1st wash on outdoor trees, then Sodalite Genuine (DS) on top for branches. GORGEOUS color that I use sparingly. Another goodie, Ellen! Many thanks!

Just gorgeous!
I’ll have to give this a try! Merry Christmas!
What's the difference between using Dr. Martin white plaint, white gouache, and white acrylic? Love your videos!!!
Absolutely beautiful thank you for showing this,
Very nice. Thank you for sharing your "secrets". You made me pick up my old watercolors again😊
Love this! I think I might be able to do it. Yeah. Thanks for sharing. I don't always comment because I watch you on my TV, but I try to come back on the computer to comment. I love all your videos!!!! xox
Nice! I don`t have white gouache, I`ll try acrilic. Thanks for sharing your work!
I’m making them both today. You make me look SO good.
Beautiful paintings of snowflakes, love them both!!! I appreciate you, thanks so much for sharing your time, talent, & creativity!!! Stay well, blessings!!!
Gorgeous! I love these tutorials
These are lovely! As a novice, I am really looking forward to practicing your technique. Though I will limit my snowflakes to 6 points as they are in nature. In case anyone is wondering why 6 and not 8, it has to do with the way the water molecules are shaped. Granted, there are many other examples of 8-pointed snowflakes out there in the artistic world. I am so glad that RUclips found you for me. Thanks for sharing.😊
I thought about snowflakes having 6 points when I saw this too...guess I didn't forget everything I learned in elementary school. 😊
So beautiful 🥰, I've been working on stuff like that, and only 2 commercials! THAnk you 😊
Very very nice! Thank you! ❤️👍
I appreciate this video! Your snowflakes are beautiful yet look doable, which means so much to me! Thanks so very much.
This would be nice for New Years Day card too. I am always looking for ideas for January cards, after all the holidays have passed.
Lovely! Can’t wait to give it a go!
I would never have thought to create my own snowflake ❄ designs but this is inspiring! 💕
These up-scale card designs are awesome! Loving the special-effects detailing you're teaching us. 💃

Ellen,I need to get some guache paint.what brand do you reccomend?
She has Holbein gouache in her supplies list...
Love this
You’re the next contestant on The Price is Right😋....love the cards, thank you 😃
That was great. Thanks so much.
You're very welcome!
Love it!!!
Ellen, thank you💛
I love your tutorials! Especially these new holiday ones! I have a question, i want to paint these snowflakes however I don’t have white gouache (budget issues) for now. What other medium can i use instead? Is white acrylic ok? I have a white marker but I’m afraid it may not show nicely. Thank you so much and merry Christmas! 🎄💖
Merci, belle carte d’étoiles des neiges ❄️
What kind of adhesive is used to put watercolor paper on card stock?
you can use double stick tape
This was a great video, just a little aggravating that there was 8 commercials. I’ve never seen so many commercials in one video? I didn’t know if you knew there was that many? Otherwise thank you so much for sharing such a great video!
Love this. I will be trying this next. Do you tend to add water to your Gouache?
Btw I’m in mass too, and it is really snowing!
Beautiful... going to try these 👍👍. Thank you:). Ps.. I do watch the ads:)
Wonderful tutorial, thanks! I spent the morning painting two of each; each unique and different just like snowflakes. I tried using white acrylic but it was too thick to get the fine lines. Second batch I used my white gouache and that worked much better. Great excercise for brush and paint control and I love the results. I'm going to paint some sparkly, clear, craft acrylic, on some of the snowflakes so they twinkle.
What is an alternative to white goauche?
Beautiful! I've been copying some of your cards and branching out from them.
You are helping me a lot.
Very nice. Need to stop watching so many videos and give a try! 😂
Hope you enjoy!
Me too!
PS: Arteza.Com now sells 100% cotton card stock AND postcards! :)
Mine totally ripped when I peeled up the masking fluid. Should I paint over those areas or what? So disappointed.
ALWAYS hit tape with heat gun before lifting. It usually helps quite a bit.
😍👌🤗👏👏👏...👋👋
Very pretty! Too many ads.
But that's any video
I know - artistic license - but why are so many snowflake images shown with 8 points? They have 6.
Again it doesn’t have to be exact! It’s a design not a realistic painting
@@ellencrimitrent True!
Love your painting. Your rambling not so much.
14 minutes in and I already had five rounds of ads. What's going on with YT? It's getting worse. I am stopping this subscription. Shame, you're sharing interesting ideas.
I’ve noticed lots more annoying ads too. I hope it’s because of the push before Christmas. I know I can pay for premium YT but I really don’t want to line pockets. I’ll put up with the ads only to watch these wonderful and inspiring tutorials so I can go in my happy corner and paint away while waiting for the pandemic to go far, far away
So you put on 8 ads to entice people to pay to watch your vids?...sneaky....but I'm not falling for it.
I support 5 artist on Patreon. But not you because of this sneaky tactic.
I'm pretty sure you'll find its youtube who control the amount and placement of any ads, I've seen channel owners discuss it before. The channel is simply monetised, and why should they not? One can always skip an ad, but people deserve something for their time making these tutorials and/or content. Not everyone can afford to support on patreon, especially now, so it gives everyone a chance this way with well deserved (although not very much) revenue for the channel in the process.
So pretty!
