    Just in case anyone is on Linux and facing this problem, open /etc/pulse/default.pa file and add the below two statements -
    load-module module-echo-cancel aec_args="noise_suppression=1" source_name=echoCancel_source
    set-default-source echoCancel_source
    Save and close the file. Reboot. That's it.

    I like how they said "a bit expensive" for a 15 dollar arm stand. That's on the cheaper end, but I actually do like that they are aware that most people buying this mic are doing it on a budget, so a 15 dollar accessory can be out of range for some people.

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  4 года назад +1

      Hi there, sorry about the issue. But the problem you have sounds like it's about setting and placement. You may think it's our defense but K669B is not toned to be a warm mic. Therefore the level, range and environment are more crucial when it comes to echo sound.
      It's chiche to tell you to set dial at around 60%, computer input at around 80% and more importantly keep speaking range at around 3-5 inches.
      What's more and more efficient is to do with the environment, if moving furniture behind and around to a closer range to you is not possible. It's for breaking down the sound, so that there's less of them will be bounced back. And a more direct way, if you can be bother, is to setup a treated room by using moving blanket.

    I just got this mic, and whenever I have the volume completely turned off, in both settings and on the knob, there's just a quiet static. And as soon as I bump up the audio a tad bit that static becomes noticeably louder and you can hear it over my voice no matter how close I am to the mic, how loud the volume is set to etc. also I'm on a MacBook. Does anyone know how to fix this?

      Hi NoahSham, thanks for sending us a detailed description of the product. Um, have you tried recording down the audio with the mic, but playing back the recording with different output, such as an internal speaker, headphone and Bluetooth connected speaker or headphone?
      It's quite weird. When you turned the mic all the way down, then it should not be picking up any sound at all.

    I ordered my microphone a few months ago with no issues, atleast that’s what I thought, my friends said my mic sounded kind of muffled but I just thought they were being nit picky since the audio I’ve seen from RUclips reviews sounded great, but when I actually recorded a clip of audio recently and listened to it, my mic audio sounds VERY muffled and I even got a noise gate to see if that would somewhat make a the audio a little better but it’s not noticeably different, since I got it months ago I can’t return it so I’m a little disappointed but to be fair the mic was $30

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  4 года назад

      Hi there, sorry about the issue. But noise do little about the clarity, on the opposite, only if a mic is so sensitive that it pick up a bit more noise. And that should be seen in the recording of K669B. So it's kind of werid in your case that K669B being muffled. But we can help fix it. And since you have recorded the file, which should make the trouble-shooting much faster, you can send us the MP3 recording to our support email: web@fifinemicrophone.com with your order number. So that we can do a thorough audio analyse to find out the issue.

    I might wont get a reply but here goes.
    I have the T669 version of this microphone and i'm wondering what the correct way is to set up the levels.
    Do i increase the hardware gain (knob on the microphone) first and windows levels after or the reverse?
    Currently the knob is on 20-25% and in windows on 90% and i have a lot of noise from my keyboard and mouse.
    Is this a misconfiguration on my part? or just how the mic is and i need to get it even further from my keyboard and mouse?
    It is currently on the boom arm it comes with about 3-4 inches from my mouth and at least double that from my keyboard and mouse.
    I dont have a mechanical keyboard either. Just trying to learn what the correct way is to set up this microphone.

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  4 года назад

      Hi there, you setup the mic without a problem. What's behind the noise is that the keyboard and mouse are still too close to the mic and the noise from those device is in the similar frequency range of human voice.
      Thus, even you can use software like OBS noise gate or Reaper plugin to eliminate some of those noise when you're silent. But it will become noticeable when you start to talk.
      Leave alone a sensitive condenser mic as T669 is, even for a dynamic mic, you're still going to hear quite some noise.
      What you can do is to try to use some plugin, software control (shown in the video below) and put those noise source as far away from you as possible.
      ruclips.net/video/kLB3RXHGepE/видео.html&feature=share&fbclid=IwAR20wBj-ViuctDpLiAuqxEPAeHYUao98KluQyL_WVRx3N9-FAv37tG6ES6w

       FIFINE MICROPHONE Thank you so much. I really appreciate the reply and the information!
      After playing around a bit i can definitely tell that indeed the mic is very sensitive and there is not much more i can do to get rid of the mouseclicks/keyboard noises but it is at an acceptable level now.
      Only thing i'm still really confused on is what order i should follow to set my levels correctly?
      Should i first adjust the knob on the mic itself and then do some adjustments after with the windows slider OR should i just put the windows slider at 100 and slowly adjust the knob on the mic after that?
      I'm really not sure what the optimal way is to go about this process unfortunately and i feel not knowing this is holding me back from maybe fixing my levels and potentially my noise issues some more.
      Again, thank you soo much for the help here!

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  4 года назад

      @@WvLeegoard Hi there, it's better to start with the dial setting first, keep it at around 50% and start to adjust the Windows input from there. You can click open an recording software like Audacity to have level meter for gauge. Having meter move around -16 dB to -12 dB would be a pretty good setting for voice (leave alone the keyboard or mouse noise since no matter how they just cannot be eliminated).

    how to solution delay on mic this

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  3 года назад

      Hi there, the only way to reduce delay is to lower the input and output volume.
      But you cannot get rid of it. Because the microphone audio needs to be processed and converted in your computer sound card, the delay is inevitable. We're afraid that it's not the delay of this mic, but it's not supposed to be used to for monitoring. You should have the mic with low-latency monitoring jack such as the K678 or K690.

      Hi JoshPlayz, just need to turn off the monitoring feature. For gaming, there's no need for hearing yourself. For recording, it's a mic without a low latency headphone jack, so you have to rely on the computer sound, then the delay is inevitable. So either situation, the best practice is to turn off monitoring.

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  4 года назад

      Hi there, then it's not quite likely that you're going to get super clean sound because the fan noise is similar to frequency range of human voice and because it's inevitably close to mic. But to reduce noise to as low level as possible, you could consider a setup of dynamic mic(known for its low sensitive) plus an audio interface (in order to connect mic with computer) for around $70, such as our K6 and Behringer UM2 (the lowest priced USB interface). It's the available setup for low noise recording in a noisy environment.

      Hi EverDream, yes, you're right. The noise is still there, but it doesn't get quite noticeable. In other words, the output setting doesn't actually reduce the noise that is already existing. What you should do is to reduce the noise before the mic picks it up.
      You can refer to one of our blog post about DIY a treated environment: fifinemicrophone.com/blogs/news/how-to-make-an-acoustic-treatment-on-a-budget If you think it's way too troublesome, then the only way is to make the use environment as quiet as possible and follow the setting showed in the input part to keep the dial below 60%, computer input below 70% and the speaking distance at around 5 inches.

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  4 года назад

      It depends on your main use. If there's no necessary need for a low-latency jack for recording monitoring, the K669B would works just fine. The difference is about the tone, in which K670 has much more bass presenting while keeps the same sort of clarity. But it's for vocal, you will do post-production anyway, then the tone difference is not quite important. Especially when you're in budget, K669B is a good choice.

      @FIFINE  3 года назад

      Hi Katie, we're sorry about this issue. First of all, the output volume should be turned down. According to your description, the headphone sounds like a speaker, it should have not leaked so much audio. Then it's about the background sound, and we're sorry but it's also the reason of the volume, but input level this time. The volume dial should be turned below 50%, while the computer should be around 80% and then keep talking range around 5 inches. If you still think the sound quality is still not acceptable, then we're running out of ways as well. What we can do is recommend a dynamic microphone plus an audio interface. Just don't get a condenser mic if the background sound is your main concern.

      Hi Dev, sorry about your poor use experience, but we have after-sales support at your service, you can contact us at web@fifine.cc with your order. The support team will take care of your case to make your mic perform as a $50 mic does. But in terms of background sound, it's not a fair competition between a standalone mic and the earphone one, especially there's a chance that the mic is defective. Because the latter is much closer to your mouth and its capsule is much small to make it be able to pick up more sound. Even if the standalone mic captures a bit more background noise, but the overall noise floor won't be as bad as the earmic, unless the desktop mic was turned all the way up. And besides, if you don't want a little bit of background noise, the mic you should get is a dynamic model, you can try out the FIFINE K658 instead.
      Anyway, a functional T669 won't be worse than the earphone's mic. But if unfortunately, that's your case, please contact us with your order number. We will help out.

Please get the mic further away from the keyboard as possible, then turn down the sound level on both the mic and the computer input to below 60%. If it doesn't help, get an arm stand as the video suggested. But to be honest, that may not give you a great improvement. If you're so concerned about background noise, what you really should do is to choose the correct one in the first place. The dynamic mics are highly recommended.

      Is it the K669B model you use? If so, It's easy to disable this so-call monitoring feature on Windows computer, but the most weird thing is why it's open in your case, this feature should be set to be disable. Anyway, just right click the speaker icon on the right hand side of computer, choose "Recording Devices", right click "USB PnP Audio Device", select "Properties" and "Listen", at last just make sure "Listen to this device" is unchecked. Then the system output should not repeat the microphone sound.
      If it doesn't work let us know what streaming software you're using. But I didn't see there's monitoring feature on Discord, so above method should just make the fix.

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  4 года назад

      Hi Sean, we we beg you or anyone who are dissatisfied with the current pricing pardon. Because of the situation, there's terrifying increase in shipping fee. On the contrast, shipping is getting slower and slower. Therefore the inventory is never enough for supply. But there're similar rules on every platform wherer we sell, such as Amazon and AliExpress, if the product has gone out of stock for sometimes, it will get less and less traffic. That means dropping ranking of the product. So we have to keep product in sale and price increasing seems like the only viable way.
      But anyway, it may sound like our wording for insane product price. But if you're not in need of a mic or any product urgently, maybe you could wait till the issue dies down, then the price will go back to normal. You're good to make the purchase by the time.

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  3 года назад

      Hi Chenznie, if it's not about the voice-over video or you use a webcam to record your video, we're afraid that there's no way to use this mic at the same time. Because you can't hook this mic up with your camera. If you use a camera and want the video and the audio done at the same time, then you need a camera microphone instead of the PC mics.

      Yes, you can. But the adapter quality varies, there's a possibility that you may need to test out a few to get one that actually works. So if you main purpose is to get a mobile mic, we don't recommend this one, but the one that's built for phones in the first place.

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  2 года назад

      Hi Sasha, part of this video is about the background sound rejection, so please check out this video. It's a sensitive condenser microphone, so it's inevitable subject to those noises you mentioned. The only solution is to reduce the effect but no way to get rid of it, unless you use the RTX voice but which requires RTX graphic card to work. In order to reduce the mouse and keyboard sound, get the mic close up to your mouth while it's back toward the keyboard, turn down the volume of the mic to below 60%, and speak to the mic within 3 inches. To go further is to use the mic with an arm stand. But the best solution is to use a dynamic mic such as the FIFINE K658 or K651 in the first place if you're quite concerned about the background sound.

      Hi Bola, sorry about the issue you have. This model doesn't have headphone jack and the only available is to use computer's one. Hi Chinh, if you don't hear any noise when turning the microphone volume all the way down, that means the noise is mainly from the microphone itself. Have you followed the other steps in the video to set a decent volume level? And which model did you get?

      Hi Saz, sorry about this issue, but to troubleshoot it, we need more info. Please provide the order number and a one-minute audio file with you talking for 30 seconds and getting silent for another 30 seconds, before the recording please set the mic dial at 60% and computer input at 80% and the speaking range at around 5 inches, and in the audio recording. You can comment back the order number here and include the wetransfer link of the audio file.

      And what you described should not happen on a normal K669B, because there should not be a threshold thing on the level set when you get volume below it, the mic performs fine but when you crank up the volume to go pass it, the background noise suddenly appears.

    • @FIFINE
      @FIFINE  4 года назад +2

      Hi there, keyboard and mouse are too close to the mic, it's inevitable to pick up those sound. What you can do is only to reduce it.
      No sure the exact setting you have adjusted. But you can try with ours: dial at 60%, computer input 80% and keep speaking range at 5 inches. Distance is quite important. Since even with the arm, you still cant get noise source pretty far away from the mic. So it's better to get it closer to sound source to let the main audio cover some amount of noise.
      Keyboard or mouse sound is the biggest problem for streaming. Even you use the recommended setup of dynamic mic such as our K6 plus an audio interface such as Behringer UM2. It's still not way to cancel out all the noise. The best way is not to use mechanical keyboard lol.
